There are a few cute tables for you to sit at and get some reading done with a lot of natural light pouring into the space from the giant windows at the front. Several tables decorate the outside of the space as well, and into the street and it's honestly one of my favorite corners in the West Village. Such a great reprieve from the busier adjacent streets to catch up with a friend, sit in the sun, and take a break for yourself, truly. I find myself coming back because of the great vibes and solid coffee. Wishing this place good luck as they continue on!

I was the only person in line, but the woman at the counter looked up, looked back down, and never acknowledged me. A man came over to help, he seemed a little cold at first, maybe because I didn't know the menu, but he might have noticed my energy shift when he responded rudely at first, and warmed up a bit, offering suggestions for cold drinks. I ordered a breakfast burrito and a cold brew. The shop is cute, and since it wasn't busy, I had my pick of seats and grabbed a corner spot. I pulled out my laptop and was told laptops aren't allowed , no issue there, I put it away right away (did not even get it fully turned on) and waited for my food. When the same guy brought my food over, I asked for silverware. He didn't respond or even look at me, just set the food down and walked off. I gave him the benefit of the doubt. He went to help someone who'd just sat down next to me, and once he was done with them, I asked again for silverware. Still nothing. At that point I followed him to the counter and had to say "excuse me" several times before he'd even acknowledge me. When he finally did, I asked, "I'm so sorry, did I do something to offend you (thinking it was because I pulled out my laptop for 30 seconds)?" He just smiled in a very passive aggressive way, and said, "You asked for silverware?" I said yes, and tools him I thought he'd been ignoring me. He handed it over with a smirk and a noticeably uncomfortable attitude. Overall, I think this place is overhyped. it's probably popular mostly because everyone says it's popular. There are plenty of nicer coffee shops nearby with coffee that's just as good, if not better. I wish they didn't prompt for a tip before service, I wouldn't have tipped 20% given how the visit went. Good service deserves a good tip, and vice versa.
