I've done yoga but This was my first experience with hot yoga and I wished I had tried it sooner. It has helped me manage stress, started to sculpt my body and aided in weight loss in just a month. My back pain has finally started to subside, I've had it for 20 years. I used to wake up in pain every morning... not anymore. After going 5-6 times a week for 5 weeks I finally wake up pain free, something I never thought would happen. Their staff is amazing!! Truly amazing. Starting something new can be intimidating but they are so kind and welcoming. I never thought I would love it the way I do but this studio is one of the best yoga studios I've ever been too. I have practiced at other Bikram studios and I can guarantee you will love the teachers, healthy environment, clean floors and bathrooms. From the moment you walk through the door you are greeted by friendly smiling faces and then it is off to a state of the art practice room... and the showers... WOW! The Lakewood Ranch Thavma Yoga studio in Bradenton, FL is exceptional. With tight hamstrings, I really appreciate the focus on alignment while keeping in line with the Bikram curriculum. My experience at four sessions while on vacation has greatly improved my practice. Marina and her yoga instructors are wonderful. This studio is the best that I have visited in my eight years of Bikram yoga practice visiting twelve yoga studios in four states, Canada, and Germany. As other reviewers have mentioned, the studio is welcoming and very clean. When returning to this area I will plan on attending classes. Taylor's yoga classes are the most amazing! ‍ She consistently guides us through the various poses, helps with alignment and shares very helpful corrections. Taylor is very inspiring and her positive energy is contagious. I have had the pleasure of taking Pam's 90 minute 26+2 class several times. She has a soothing voice and gentle cadence that doesn't leave you feeling fussed at for an hour. Her music always helps you focus and get through the tough postures. Her instruction and corrections are helpful and clear. She likes to keep it hot in there! She's a hottie as well, but don't even think about it guys. I tried and got shot down. Her GQ-looking husband is frequently in the class and it's obvious she adores him. Great class. Thavma is the Ritz Carlton of yoga studios. It all starts at the top with Marina and her passion for yoga. Marina was my mentor 8 years ago and still is....She is the best of the best when it comes to instructors and she personally trains the other instructors which are all great! Marina was wonderful! Very accommodating and welcoming to out of towners and beginners, while still meeting the needs of regulars. Never thought about the time and the hour and a half went by so quickly. She said that if you don't feel great during class, you'll feel great an hour after-- I felt great the entire day.
