The next one was here, so we decided to divert briefly from our route. My Medium Italian Sub with Pepperoni, Ham, Genoa Salami on a White Bread torpedo roll was good but not great. Only White, Wheat, and Gluten Free varieties were offered. My grinder contained tomatoes, lettuce, onions, cheese, oil & vinegar, and mustard but it did not taste very juicy. A Pickle slice was also included, but no Pepperoncini, which I would have liked to have. Neither Diane nor I liked a Cup of somewhat spicy Potato Soup but I did very much like a Cup of Chili. It contained few beans but produced a lot of heat. Ridged French Fries were tasty, as well. I liked the Firehouse accouterments like a firefighter's coat and Dalmatian spotted tables. And counter service was friendly and efficient.

Placed my order online, I am a very anxious person so knowing before hand made it easier for me, so I loved they had that option, when I get there, walked over to the pick up area, and the worker just says "we are out of the cheese sandwich" no greeting, no apology for the inconvenience, nothing else, so I just stood there, and I asked "ok can I substitute it for anything else?" She says I can get 2 breakfast sandwiches to compensate the price, ok I pick my options and wait, at this point everything was ok, I did think the customer service was definitely not there but I dont like judging based on a first time. I get my sandwiches and go to my car, the coffee was pretty good, I am going to be honest, I got the iced coffee with coconut and maccadamia, so since I drove 45 minutes, I decided to placed another order of the same coffee because I had almost finished it, placed the mobile order, and walked in to wait in the tables with the AC, email said my order would be ready in 15 minutes, theres literally no one there, So I wait the 15 minutes and nothing, so I walked to the pick up area so they can see me because at this point I notice theres literally no one in the front, so Im thinking they probably forgot about my order, I go over to the counter, to kind of peek to see of theres anyone I can get their attention, when I notice a coffee just sitting there, I go over to check and it is my order, no one told me it was ready, they saw me sitting there waiting and at no point did anyone say "oh your coffee is actually ready" this is my first time, I dont know their dinamics, usually in any coffee place they call your order or name to let you know its ready, but nothing, so Im just waiting there, I dont know how long the coffee has been there, It was a huge dissapointment. I was actually so excited to try it, I mean I drove 45 minutes to get here, I was very surprised with the type of service at this establishment, the drinks might be ok, but unfortunately this experience would not make me come back here and rather take my business elsewhere. I have never experienced this type of awful customer service anywhere. And this is the reason for my negative review.

Yes, I know... this is a long overdue review, but hey, it's better now than never, right? Anyway, since I've stopped eating beef several years back, I don't get the opportunity to enjoy a good burger, but that's okay. Everyone else can enjoy extra in my place LOL. So my go-to nowadays is a good solid chicken sandwich... HBG calls it like it is... they have a Grilled Chicken Sandwich (GCS) on their menu and that's what I normally order every time. I may one day try their Crispy Chicken Sandwich... anything chicken works for me as long as it's good. I'm not picky. The GCS has marinated chicken breast, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, and teriyaki sauce is my choice of sauce. Just a mouthwatering sandwich! The only gripe is that it's a small sandwich... maybe it's the ciabatta bread or just the chicken fillet is small. I may need to order two sandwiches next time I visit HBG LOL. I'm a big eater, but not to where I'm overly full... just in good moderation! I always love to take home leftovers so I don't mind ordering extra foods. Just my sandwich, sweet potato fries (can't forget my fries), and a cup of water is good enough a meal for me any day. Simplicity is key! If I recall, I didn't have any issues with the staff. I will say friendly and pleasant. Prices back then were cheaper than what they are today for sure. I do remember the dining inside was a little snugged, but they do have plenty of outside patio dining. However, with the extreme weather, I don't think it's a good idea to dine outside unless it's during the cooler hours. Don't worry about parking as it's located at the Walmart shopping center so there's plenty. Just drop on by and get your grill on! Happy Habit'ing!

The Havanazucar Cuban restaurant (with a full menu) is located down the street toward 7th street, but THIS specific location has sandwiches. The menu is smaller, great for commuters, and located conveniently off the 15 freeway and next to a gas station. The quality of the food equates to its restaurant. The Pan Con Pollo (chicken sandwich) is a fullfilling grilled chicken breast sandwich. The chicken is this thinly sliced, delicious, between sliced Cuban bread and topped with mustard, lettuce, tomato, grilled onions. The menu mentions jalapeños sauce and cheese, but this time neither was apparent, but still a great sandwich. The Pan Con Bistec (steak sandwich) is not as fulfilling, but has thinly sliced sirloin steak, with grilled onions, and a very good chimichurri sauce. It is served with the same cuban bread as the Pan Con Pollo, but this one is with and crispy potato (pretty sure they were plaintains) strips. The green sauce is a good addition. You can dip your fries or fried plantains, a corner of your sandwich, or whatever you choose, it was a good addition. We also ordered an appetizer: Papas Rellenas. We ordered 4 pieces of potato puff balls. They were stuffed with grounded Cuban style beef cooked, with slices of bell pepper, served with that delicious green sauce. Highly recommend for a quick sandwich stop! Great for lunch or on the go to or from Las Vegas. It's literally not too far from the 15 freeway exit.

I recently had the pleasure of eating at a fantastic chicken spot, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I walked up to the window, I was greeted with a warm and inviting staff. The staff was friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home. Let's talk about the star of the show--the chicken. The menu is small, but mighty, and each item was prepared to perfection. The chicken was juicy, tender, and full of flavor. Whether it was the BAC (big ass chicken fried chicken, the tenders, and the cheese burger every bite was a delight to my taste buds. What impressed me even more was the attention to detail in the preparation. The chicken was cooked to crispy perfection on the outside while remaining moist and succulent on the inside. The seasoning was spot on, striking the perfect balance of herbs and spices that enhanced the natural flavor of the chicken without overpowering it. The sides were equally impressive. The tots were crispy and seasoned just right, adding a delicious crunch to each meal. The coleslaw was fresh and creamy, providing a refreshing balance to the savory chicken. And let's not forget about the mouthwatering Mac and Cheese --fluffy, cheesy, and downright addictive. The service was exceptional throughout my visit. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and happy to offer recommendations. The young man taking the order was a hoot! Overall, this chicken spot deserves high praise for its outstanding food, inviting staff, and impeccable service. Whether you're a chicken lover or simply looking for a satisfying meal, this place is definitely worth a visit. I can't wait to go back and try more of their delectable offerings.
