We came here today around 12pm and there was already a line up outside but it was a short wait. My friend had recommended this place so I've had it on my list to visit for a long time and finally made it here today. Their Pandesal (Filipino bread rolls) is pretty famous here so make sure you pick up a bag. For 12 mini loafs in a bag is only $3.75. I'm not quite familiar with Filipino sweets so it was hard to choose but everything was reasonably price for about $1.3 to $3 so we just picked up randomly a variety of sweets. They like to use Ube (Purple Yam) in their sweets so everything look so pretty! We also picked up their savoury steamed pork buns (Siopao) which comes in a package of 3 for $5.25. These are similar to the chinese BBQ pork buns but the meat is juicier and bread is not as dense and sweeter. We really liked these buns and one is filling enough for a light lunch. I haven't tried all the sweets that we bought yet but my favourite so far is the Ube cake and Cuchinta (steamed brown sugar tapioca or rice flour cake). I'm definitely a fan now for Filipino sweets!

I also love the cornbread, especially toasted or sliced thinly for grilled cheese. I have not tried the bagels, but they are HUGE!! If you want to sit down for a cup of coffee, Nova Era has a small seating area, with a fun, Portuguese football themed vibe.
