I have been taking my boats to MarineMax since purchasing my first boat from them in 2018. The…read moreservice team, led by Eric Richards, is outstanding. Over the years, they have assisted me with warranty issues on both my Boston Whaler 130SS and my Crest tritoon. When the boat cover on the Crest deteriorated after four years, they proactively worked with the manufacturer and arranged for a replacement cover to be fitted. I routinely bring my 13-foot Boston Whaler in for service, and I am treated with the same level of care and respect as if I had just purchased a 45-foot Sea Ray. MarineMax has also serviced boats I did not purchase from them, including my Ranger Tug and now my Cutwater. They never attempt to sell unnecessary repairs or services. Their mechanics are highly knowledgeable, take the time to answer questions, and provide practical advice on maintaining both the boats and engines. I trust them completely with my boats and would not take them anywhere else.

Please avoid these scam artists at all costs. I don't know how their sales division is, but their…read moreservice division scammed my dad out of $14,000. And the same issue remains on our boat. My dad has a cruiser named Bamboozle on Lake Lanier, and it would randomly beep and go back to idle speed. I called around and found Marine Max had a lift at Bald Ridge marina, near our home, and availability for a diagnostic. Which was great because most other mechanics couldn't even call me back. I had to leave to head back to my home in Honolulu, and my dad followed up with the shop. I don't know what they replaced or did to the boat, all I know is that after $14,000 the boat will still randomly beep and go back to idle speed every now and then. They must have told my 75 year old dad all kinds of BS about things that "needed to be replaced" but were really fine. They pulled apart the motor to perform these expensive and unnecessary repairs. He won't give me details about it, I think he's too embarrassed and ashamed. If I can save anyone a few thousand dollars from this review, some good can come out of this situation.
