Came here 6 weeks ago while on our road trip from ATL to Los Angeles. We went through the California checkpoint on I-40 W, then took an offramp to go back into AZ so we could fill up our gas tank without having to take out a bank loan. Using the Gas Buddy mobile app, we found out that Thalypo had the least expensive gas, so this was a no-brainer. There were a good number of gas pumps, so no one had to wait to get to one, even though there were a lot of people. Filled up the tank, used the clean restroom, then bought some bottled sodas. The convenience store was bigger than I expected, and it was well stocked. Very clean store! Two employees were running registers, so I didn't have to wait in line for very long. The employee who rang me up was quick and had a nice personality and smile. read more

Found this place unexpectedly while looking for cheap gas. The gas station was clean and we went inside the store for road trip snacks. The kids had a great time looking around for a drink and a snack/candy. It is a little tradition of ours. The icee machine was not working but worked out for me! Less sugar in the kids! The bathrooms are cleaner than other places so that was a plus. Staff was pleasant and the prices are very reasonable. They also sell fireworks. read more

So in the journey out of Needles heading into Arizona, you will come across this location... Nice staff, clean and appears to be efficient.... Yummm. They have a Cherry Vanilla slurpie there :) .... The display of Anti-Whitism was on full display today at the shop run by Fort Mohave Indians. I walked in a little before 5pm and asked for propane service and the big guy with hair down to his ass give me the 'its gonna be a min' routine. Total attitude. I know what proper customer service is and that ain't it. Four employees behind the counter and not busy at all. After a couple min of patiently waiting I walk outside to the tank and wait another several min before two women come out with the big Indian Woman named Jackie with a giant neck tattoo and plenty of attitude (Convict Mentality) to go with it, and she's supposedly the one in charge. Jackie (Neck Tattoo) is training the other woman and from the get go its like watching a monkey and a football. Neither of them know their job whatsoever and when I try to intervene to help the trainee by not opening the bleed screw all the way, ole Neck Tattoo starts barking at me with her hands up in the air yelling at me with total attitude thinking its ok because she's saying Sir Sir. I back off exasperated by the total lack of professional behavior from a "SERVICE" station. They ended up only getting 3.8 gallons in and when I go to put the tank in the car and pull over to the gas pump to pay for the propane and get gas like I always do Neck Tattoo starts provoking me screaming she's gonna call the tribal police if I don't go and pay. Unbelievable! She really thought I was a criminal because I showed slight displeasure with their attitude and service. Neck Tattoo and Long Hair think they are special. They are not. And whoever is in charge of running that place is a straight POS too for allowing that culture become the normal. read more

Clean and pumps worked great. Not much more to ask for. The inside was stocked with anything you forgot to bring to the river.

They have the lowest prices in the area, 20 cents under other low price stations in the area. I see reviews here, saying finally decent prices in Needles, it's because it's not in Needles, that the prices are lower. Arizona gas prices have averaged $2 a gallon lower than Needles, since long before Thalpo was even built. The difference is Needles is in California, where they'll tax anything they possibly can, as high as they possibly can, typical of socialist states. Some people don't realize how close they are to decent fuel prices, just across the border. They rely on their naivety of customers to gouge them. read more

Went there for propane. Waited over 30 minutes then my daughter went inside to follow up and waited another 20. When I went in too see why taking so long cashier was extremely rude. Said they were too busy, which I replied I get and if that's the case say so and don't tell someone you are on your way out. I asked about the 3rd employee they usually have that fills and she said they only had the 2. She then pointed to their competitor across the street and said if I don't like it take my business there. When I said it was unprofessional and asked her name she replied "Alexis." As I am walking toward front door she says, "want my phone number too bitch". That 3rd guys they claimed wasn't working I saw come out of back room as I walked out.
