I feel like an absolute fucking bellend tbh, spending all my time in fucking yumyums (which has the world's stupidest name and is only fun coz they have those tables that sink into the floor but half the time they don't let you sit in them anyway) when this absolute solid gold TREASURE is one minute round the corner. Anyway, the window seat is right next to some cute fairy lights and flowers and shit. As per usual I embarrassed my dining partner - 2015 Elite Yelper, Luke Y - by announcing that if this was a tinder date he would definitely be getting laid. BE WARNED THOUGH - romantic as it is, that table is draughty as fuck whenever anyone goes out for a cigarette. The food is the most authentic Thai I've had outside of actual Thailand. We ordered like the fat fucks that we are, and had fish cakes, chicken satay, squid and some kind of stir fried pork. I also rate their masaman curry and kanom jeeb dumplings more highly than I can express in words, and their homemade ice creams are fleek af too plus they do cool flavours like coconut and pandan. Your whole experience here is going to be heightened immeasurably by the cuteness of the tiny Thai grandma that serves the food. I just want to kiss her all over her jolly little face. She brings you these little spearmint chewy sweets with your bill that instantly take on the exact texture of pre-chewed chewing gum when you eat them. Maybe they are chewing gum? Either way, I swallow, but that's enough about my personal life LOL. All in all, it's an A+ experience every time. Big up Thai Cafe, I love you.

I spent my last night in London in New Cross since I had to get to Gatwick easily the next morning…read moreand came here for dinner. I had their spicy ground beef larb with coconut rice and was impressed, it WAS spicy and hot. Most Thai places play down the spice factor but they sure don't here. It doesn't look like much from the outside and I was here on a Saturday night and the place was empty. Nonetheless the girl here was really friendly the food was perfectly fine and the prices are beyond reasonable. I love finding places off the tourist radar.

I LOVE Thai food and when I saw a 4.5* spot just round the corner called Thailand, it just had to be investigated! We arrived and straight away noticed the great offer of a 3 course meal and a glass of wine for just £12.95 served throughout the week. Impressive! We were feeling flush and decided to choose off the a la carte menu but I'd definitely return to give the offer a whirl. We chose to share the mixed starter, and the crispy duck and pancakes to start, and then chicken penang, prawn pad thai and sticky rice for mains. Service throughout was polite and well timed, our waitress was in fact the owners daughter and shared some stories about her father and the two restaurants they own. She was wonderful! Now to the food - the mixed starter was a bit of a disappointment, there was just way too much deep fried vegetables rather than the good quality products like chicken satay and prawn toast. We actually had to leave the majority which was a shame. Now to the duck... NOM. Perfectly cooked and crispy, plenty of pancakes to share, plum sauce think a flavoursome and when put together with cucumber and spring onion, just perfection! Now to the best part - their Thai food is authentic, packed with a punch and truly delicious! The pad Thai had lots of large and juicy king prawns, the Penang was in a thick and creamy sauce - the best I'd ever had! All I will say is we would have like a little more veg (in both dishes) but this didn't take away from flavours of food, really great quality food! We really did enjoy the evening and we'll definitely be back for another girlie night soon! Highly recommended if in the area and a lover of Thai!

These office workers went religiously to a place that suddenly stopped serving them Thai... the office workers cried out and felt lost in a world of burgers giving them no real options. They began to lose hope that the staple of Thai food would never return until the Little Thai put up their sign and opened their doors. I went with a pad kee mau, fellow yelper Vickie tried out the pad thai... it's just what we've bee missing. For those of you who are familiar with the area, it's the building that used to house the French restaurant (which I'll actually miss, they were really nice) but it's a lovely space, nice and bright and modern. We had a chance to chat with the new owner and it seems he's got a bit of experience with restaurants in the past so we're looking forward to having them as a permanent fixture in our little neighborhood. Staff were friendly and the food is excellent (and good value). Lunch from 12-3, they deliver during dinner hours... The Little Thai does not disappoint! I'm so happy the area has Thai again! Honestly, ask anyone who has to come to NW3 on a daily basis, they'll moan about those dark Thai-less days as well.

For my main, I wanted to try two different things so I got both the Penang curry and the pad Thai, both of which were delicious. I got a spice level above the medium heat, but not the hottest, and it was a good level - enough for some spice, but not so much it was uncomfortable. I think this is my new favorite Thai place. I can't wait to come back!

Since writing my initial review (5*s) I've been here at least 5 more times and the service is fine at best. The last time I went we asked our waiter how to pronounce something on the menu and he just stood there tapping his pen on his order pad for at least a minute looking at the menu and shrugged. He also left the restaurant to take a call halfway through packing our leftovers.. ---------------- Food isn't cheap but it's definitely worth the money! The menu has a wide variety of food and when I got there I wanted to eat everything on the menu! The chicken, lamb, duck, and beef are all halal. Plus seafood and the possibilities were so great that we spent a good 15 minutes trying to narrow down what to order. Loved both starters we got - lettuce wraps and paper prawns. Lettuce wraps were especially yum and quite filling. The mains are also very filling and larger than expected. Love, love this place…read more My 2nd day I'm Crawley I was strolling up High St and was pleasantly surprised to find this spot. I went in to say hi and find out if it was a coincidence or if it's really linked to the location in Brooklyn NY that I love. Turns out they are linked and I made reservations for dinner later on that night. We arrived around 8:15. The Sat night the placed was packed with people for happy hour etc but Sunday was a bit more quiet. My daughter and I ordered apps. She had Chicken Satay and I had Spring Rolls. So delicious. For our entree we both ordered the pineapple rice. The presentation was delightful. Def food porn visually and it def tasted as good as it looked. The only draw back for me was I ordered a Lichee Martini and they didn't really know what it was. The owners are so nice. They treated us great. The decor is so calming. Every single detail adds to the experience down to the hand soap and lotion in the bathroom. If ever in Crawley, this place is a must.

This review is not so much about the food (which is absolutely finger-licking delicious by the way) but mostly about the convenience of this place: 1. They deliver to hotels in the the area. 2. They give a discount to Flight Crews (which is very important because a LOT of flight crews (from various airlines) stay in neighbouring hotels for layovers). 3. The service is excellent. One thing that really stayed with me food wise though and is a MUST TRY: The duck springrolls. I repeat: Do. Not. Leave. Without. Trying. The. DUCK. Springroll. Amen. :)
