The Pad kra prow was excellent, with just the right amount of spice to give it that little kick.

The staff were all very professional, helpful and friendly. At the same time it was not stuffy and didn't make you feel uneasy. We tried the sampler platter for appetizer which was delicious. It was a good array of the their wonderful cuisine. The fried appetizers were not greasy and cooked just right. Loved the chicken/nuts dumpling, very unique and full of flavor and spices. For entree we tried the Lamb curry, sea bass curry, meat curry and pad Thai. They were all a hit, but the sea bass was the winner as far as we were concerned. The sauce and flavor was the perfect combination. Since it was a birthday celebration, we had the molten chocolate cake and the mango cheesecake, an amazing experience trying both (served with vanilla ice cream). This is a great place for any celebration

In addition to the eclectic and very creative menu, the sheer delight, taste, and presentation of the wonderfully prepared food is an experience in itself. Without a doubt, this restaurant has great ambiance, fist class service and is amongst the best in Hampstead.

If you think pub quizzes are for social misfits that get shouty over insignificant trivia (and you would be right) then read no more, for apart from the quiz the Prince of Wales ticks all the boxes of London boozer conformity: good selection of real ales, cheerful bar staff, skanky toilets and unremarkable Thai food. The quiz, held every Tuesday at 9pm, is well-known amongst London's quiz geeks, has often featured in the press and the question masters have even published their own quiz book. It is a serious challenge, without the plasticine modelling rounds, wacky prizes, stale questions and general fooferah that mars many quizzes in the capital. The questions are difficult, but not arcane: sometimes a bit of lateral thinking or educated guess will get you home. There's a beer round and also jackpot questions of £1,000, £500 and £250 after the main quiz. The questions for the jackpots are a step up from the standard of the rest of the quiz and quite frankly you need to be lucky or in cahoots with the question master to get these right. I've included some sample questions below; you can PM me for the answers if you like. The regular crowd are welcoming and boisterous. Get there between 7 and 8 for a good seat, drink the snigger-inducing Butcombe ale and order the deep-fried fish in chilli and ginger, both to avoid the usual Thai dishes and benefit from the brain-boosting fishiness. Five stars for the quiz, three for the pub. What is the only country whose name is an anagram of another country's capital city? In which country are four of the world's ten highest waterfalls? Who was the first British monarch to broadcast a Christmas Day speech? Which Nobel winner wrote it? Clue: one of the writer's most famous books was turned into a Disney film, and another work dealt with the loss of his son in the first world war. What links former PM Harold McMillan and soft-rock legends The Scorpions? Which London underground lines extend furthest north, south, east and west of the city? Which 1836 conflict has been called "the American Thermopylae"? Which lyricist and sometime guitarist in a British rock band went missing at the age of 27? For which band was Noel Gallagher a roadie before he was in Oasis? If all the countries of the world were represented on a Scrabble board, Mozambique would be the most valuable point scorer. Which countries would come in second and third place?
