Overall food was excellent and good value, both food and beverage wise. There were 5 of us and we shared 5 dishes with steam rice, we could have done with just 4 dishes as the serves were generous. My favourite was mossaman beef, the meat just fell apart as you bite into it and the flavour, it was all there with the right heat, such comforting dish. Potatoes bulk the bowl up but was good accompaniment. Green curry chicken, the bowl was full to the bream with breast meat, still tender and not dry, not much kick for an Asian palate but suffice. The Choo chi vegetable was my next fav, nice milky sauce and plenty of it, variety of vegetables and tofu. Would have satisfied a vegetarian. The sweet pork dish was so so and would have kept a novice happy, once again the serve was generous Pad Thai would normally indicates how good a Thai restaurant is by this dish, but we have been spoilt with good 'pad Thais' out there and this would be 5/10 from me. So surprising as other dishes were great. We finished with 2 serves of steamed banana sticky rice with mango ice cream to share amongst us, we could have done without but it was a nice finish to the meal. I didn't see the menu and let the others did the ordering, with a bottle of wine and 2 beers, it was well less than $30 per head with a bit of tips. Staff were friendly enough for a busy Friday night and there were early diners. There were 2 dinning areas and a 'sitting - waiting' area at the reception area There are plenty of outside seatings when weather permits, and limited car parks at rear. They didn't mind us leaving our cars there when we went to the movies after dinner, very convenient indeed.

This place was amazing. Cannot stop thinking about the meal I ate here…read more We started with an entree of prawn tom yum and the spices were perfectly balanced. Best tom yum I have eaten. Then I had the chicken Chu Chi Curry. The chicken was amazing, the spices worked well and while I would have liked more vegetables I still loved this. Everyone at the table was happy with their meal, we were in a group of 6 and all had entree and main so they did a good job to have no complaints. The decor is nice enough and the staff are attentive. The toilets are outside and around the back of the building. I will be back here when I am in the area. Loved this place!

I'm surprised that no one has penned a review for In Thais yet. Besides the clearly brilliant…read morepun-tastic name, In Thais serves really nice food. The little restaurant is set up to primarily be a take-away shop, but there is some seating inside if you prefer to enjoy your Thai food where it was made. Every time we call to place an order for pick up, they quote us about a 15 minute wait, and every time we arrive to claim our dinner, it is hot, fresh and ready to go. My fellow diners tell me that the Thai Green Curry and Thai Red Curry are fantastic, as is the pud thai. I personally adore the Basil and Chilli Tofu Noodles. We always order a side of the special vegetarian fried rice and ask for no egg. The staff are accommodating and remove the egg as requested with no hassle. My Basil and Chilli Tofu Noodles ring in at $11.50 and, along with serves of fried rice, will typically last me for three meals: the original dinner, plus two workday lunches. For value and fresh Thai food, I recommend that you let In Thais en-tice your tastebuds (sorry, had to do it!).

When I say 4 stars, I mean 4 stars for somewhere I'd get takeout from. Pira Thai is in a 'not very…read moreattractive' block of shops near the corner of Unley and Greenhill road, right next to BoHo bar. So freaking tasty, thats what it is! I had my usual extremely caucasian choice Chicken and Cashew nuts ($14.80) and steamed rice ($2.00). Filled with vegetables, they didn't skimp on the cashews or chicken, which was deep fried. I could even deal with the small amounts of chilli that perked up the flavours even more. Great value for great taste and their menu has a great variety of entrees (approx $8.80), Soups (approx $7.80) and mains (approx $14.00). Their lunch time specials are great value at about $8.90 for a huge variety. Minimum for Credit Cards and EFTPOS is $15 and they don't do separate accounts. I wouldn't choose to eat there however - as it would feel like dining in a takeaway shop with 90's pastel chairs. If there is one thing that I don't like, it's pastel chairs. I also live under a minute walking distance away. My chairs aren't pastel.

It's definitely a nice enough place and the staff are lovely. The food, the reason why you'll want to go there, is excellent. So fresh, such good ingredients. I agree on the massaman which is delicious, and I really recommend the red beef curry too. And the place is so cheap! I've paid nearly double for a dish that would struggle to equal the quality of I Am Thai in the past, so this place is really very, very good. They do good lunch deals too.

Over priced and under portioned!!!! I've been here a few…read moretimes but noticed the quality decrease with our last order. We ordered large sizes of; green curry chicken, Tom yum soup, and oyster mix veg stir fry. The green curry "chicken" barely had any chicken in it, it was watery and there was way too much bamboo shoots. The Tom yum only had mushrooms in it and looked like it was watery and perhaps come from a jar mixed with water! And the oyster mix veg was the only one we really enjoyed but for a large size was scabby in portion. I come from an Asian background and found this to be taking advantage of the majority of customers to go here that wouldn't know the difference between authentic and crap. This was close to the crap side of quality more so. Very disappointing for the price.

Dine-in or take-away the large menu has something to satisfy everyone and it rarely disappoints. Dining here earlier this month with my family, we opted for the banquet option where a variety of dishes came out for everyone to did into and I would suggest this option when you're with a large group. Staff are super friendly and helpful and know the menu inside and out, and are always helpful when you have those friends who don't really like Asian style food and will point out the "safe" options. My only criticism with this lovely little restaurant is the lack of "true" Thai dishes, if you're looking for something properly authentic then go elsewhere, but if you want a tasty meal then this is the place for you!

Aharn Thai had recently been awarded the excellence award - 'new restaurant - suburban south &…read moreeast. It had been trading since November 2014. The restaurant is situated in a small group of shops and be aware of the car parking space in the front with half hour limits between 9am and 9pm. Dinner time on a mid weeknight and the restaurant is more than half full, we were shown to our table which is nicely spaced from the others. In the larger dining room, there are a couple large round tables in the corner which cater for big groups. The smaller dining area as you enter accommodated 2s and 4s, well spaced as well. Deco is clean and fresh with couple of big paintings on the walls. I liked the screen of sticks which separated the entry and dining room with decorative pots at one end. Food - as there are only the two of us which really limits the choices for sharing, nevertheless, we had one entree and 2 mains to share and that was plenty. The servings were generous especially the fish dish which we ordered. Our entree of duck salad was fresh and flavoursome, the sweet, sour and heat were all there, perhaps the chillies could have been cut back but I think it was good as an entree to get the senses going and to expect what's to follow! The signature dish of grilled chicken with green papaya and carrot salad live up to expectation. The chicken was moist and the salad was well balanced. The first mouthful of a bit of chicken, salad and accompanied by warm sticky rice was just sensational. Just wished the sticky rice can stay warm till the end of our last mouthful of the dish. The steam salmon in savoury custard was a bit too runny for my liking and the custard had separated with over cooked 'egg', but it tasted great, in fact, I was glad of the 'sauce' in the end to douse my rice like a good curry does. We left without sampling desserts which were mainly ice cream and sticky rice. The rainbow ice cream bar of strawberry, coconut, pandan and orange sounds a great combination, looks like I'll be back one day. I'll try the curries then as well.
