I don't go out to eat alone. Ever. So when I got my 9-5 job that came along with a whopping 1 hour lunch where we are encouraged to leave the building, I was torn on where to go, and anxious at the idea of having to socially interact with the world all by myself. I ended up at Thai Pepper because it was close to my work, and I had a cold that I wanted to knock out with spice that you just can't find in American food. I walked in, mustered up all the courage I had, and was able to squeak out, "Table for one?" Much to my amazement, I wasn't laughed at, had garbage thrown at me, or was told to get out and come back when I've made some friends. I feel creepy asking for Josh to be my server every time, so I'm hoping we already have a silent agreement going forward that he always will be. He knows the menu inside out, he makes great recommendations, and he doesn't treat me like a horrible person for eating out alone. You get a choice of soup or salad with lunch, and you don't have to choose the dressing so it limits the potential for self loathing for picking wrong. The meal sizes are huge, even for lunch. The first time, I had curried noodles and asked for it to be "Thai Spicy". I love being given the option to do some serious internal damage with spice. And damage I did. They were delicious, and I had leftovers for 3 days. The next time I went, I asked Josh what he could recommend in terms of not feeling like a total fatso afterwards, and he suggested these glass noodles that are made out of beans. BEANS! They were good, and the feelings of fatassery were greatly reduced. I will likely eat here once a week for lunch based on all of the above. read more

They have a huge selection of menu items of everything including vegan, beef, chicken, pork, etc. Mixed into just about any Thai combination. They also have a hotness scale from no heat to OH MY GOD get the fire extinguisher! The Thai hot designation is accurate. My favorite is Very Hot Cashew Chicken. When we moved to Warner Robins, we thought that we would never be able to enjoy great authentic Thai food unless we traveled two hours north. Thai Pepper is the answer to our Thai food cravings! The food here is scrumptious and the portion sizes are incredibly generous. Their Pad Thai and fried rice dishes are more than enough to last for dinner and leftovers. So I'm sure their food is wonderful. We didn't get an opportunity to try it. My sister and baby are vegans and so they require some specific accommodations. Honestly, if we hadn't been able to eat here and that was it...then I would have just left a tip that said--not vegan friendly, except with 2 exceptions. Both my sister and I will roll with the punches, should we need to, if a food item doesn't satisfy our requirements-- if we are in a pinch. I don't do sugar, she doesn't do animal products. But when it comes to a 10 month old with restrictions---you can't play fast and loose with that. The sad thing is it was only after inquiring about the ingredients at length, Bc of the baby's needs--that we found out that the only 2 sauces with no animal products in them at the szchezuan and teriyaki sauces--and both of those have plenty of sugar in them. My sister had already given her order for the DUI and it was only after our server---who really was a wonderful guy, truly, no sarcasm there----went to the back to ask about the sauces --- did he come back to let us know that dish did in fact have animal products in it. I actually, REALLY appreciate him being honest about that. So my biggest critique is that, the restaurant management doesn't seem to brief their staff on the ingredients of their menu. At a basic level, wait staff should know about sugar content, and dietary ingredients that could cause severe allergic reactions---especially shellfish! That's just a bad situation waiting to happen if they don't. I don't fault the staff whatsoever, it's more of a critique of the service. So, if you have personal dietary or religious dietary restrictions or shellfish allergies--maybe another place would be able to accommodate your needs better. And seriously, that server was WONDERFUL. We're truly grateful to him for helping us out as we did our interrogation of the menu. read more

Goodness, this place is the best!!! Everything I've ordered has been outstanding and I so wish they were open on weekends for lunch because it's too far to drive from the base. The wait staff is definitely better than what they used to have and the pad see ew was the best I've had in a while. My husband got the pad thai. The only thing he didn't like was that the peanuts were mixed in. We've eaten at many thai restaurants and the peanuts are always to the side. The prices are a few dollars above the average restaurant, but they make sure to give you enough food to get your money's worth! This was my second trip to Thai Pepper, I had a negative experience a few years ago, but my husband wanted to give it another shot. They have remodeled within the last year, and it looks really modern and nice now! Service was friendly. My husband ordered the fried tofu and Tom-Yum soup as appetizers. He liked the fried tofu, but we both immediately did not like the smell of the Tom-Yum soup when it arrived (it reminded us of the smell of feet), so he exchanged it for Miso soup and liked it better. We ordered a kid's teriyaki chicken meal (chicken, vegetables, and rice) for our daughter, and it was a bigger portion than expected, and tasty! We ordered sushi rolls for dinner (they have a very extensive sushi menu with fun names for the rolls) - my husband chose the Kevin Bacon roll and Mad Scientist roll, while I picked the Salmon Lovers Salmon roll (smoked salmon, cream cheese, and asparagus inside with avocado and more salmon laid on top). My husband preferred the Mad Scientist roll over the Kevin Bacon one, but he was also pretty full after the appetizers and a little of our daughter's meal. I absolutely loved my Salmon Lovers Salmon roll! My roll didn't come to the table with asparagus inside, but with more avocado instead - though, I didn't mind the change since I'm not a big fan of asparagus. I have tried similar salmon rolls before at other restaurants (usually dubbed Philly roll in other places - minus the extra ingredients on top and typically with cucumber instead of asparagus), but this one was by far my favorite. This place is very unique, it contain both Thai and Japanese cuisine. They have a little sushi bar and tons of seating area. I came foe the thai food, I ordered a pangang curry with chicken, also a side of Tom kha shrimp and their dumpling. The dumping were good but I did not know it would be drench with soy sauce, but overall sorta refreshing due to the water chestnut inside. The tom kha came with alot of shrimp, which was a shock. Most places skimp out on it but not here!! The only downfall I see is the pangang, the plate contain two ingredient, the bell pepper and the chicken. The food at this restaurant is great. The salad was fresh and ginger dressing was wonderful. We enjoyed the entrees which had big portions and can feed 2 people. The broccoli and beef was not as good but everything else was delicious. Singapore chicken, red curry and garlic chicken was great. The papaya salad was great but very hot! The Tom Yum soup is my favorite entree to order and I add shrimp to make it more filling. It does get crowded at lunch and the space isn't the largest. I just moved back to Warner Robins after 7 years and found this restaurant which is still relatively new. Whenever I want thai food or sushi this is the place I go to. It is a nice,clean place away from the city hussle where the sushi is always fresh and delicious. The sushi rice is on par and unlike other sushi restaurants that serve thin or dry sashimi, My Thai and Sushi's fish cuts are moist and well proportioned. Their special rolls are awesome! They do not pack them wirh a lot of rice which is how it is supposed to be made. My favorite roll is the dancing roll with avocado. As far as their Thai food....still the place to go. I love their seafood salad, though i prefer it in a real bowl and not the crispy bowl ( my friends like it though), and my fave curry dishes are the masamang and panang curries. I have not tried all their food items...BUT I WILL...and l am definitely looking forward to doing so. Finally, the desert.....must ALWAYS get the mango and sticky rice! What a great way to top a meal! So...if you are looking for a nice treat while in Warner Robins...this is the place to go. I normally like this place, but tonight I ordered it delivery. When I got my food, the chicken tenpanyakki is SO DRY it's borderline jerky if it was thinner. It has no sauce, or seasoning as well. On top of that they forgot the rice and any and all sauces for my spring rolls, yumyum, etc. So I called to get it replaced.
