They moved to a new location by Hickey BLVD, but their menu and the quality of their food hasn't changed. I have 16 checkins and I'm just now writing a review. Hard to imagine I'd be back 16 times if this place was horrible. This spot has always been consistent for me. If I'm alone, it's always the S-1, BBQ Chicken with fried rice and shrimp. The chicken is always tender on the inside, with the outside slightly charred. Yum! My wife always gets the Garlic Short Ribs. That stuff is crack! I love that too. Sometimes I get the pineapple fried rice which is also pretty good. I've also tried the beef noodle soup and the beef/chicken satay. The soup is okay. Some might find it a little too simple and too salty. The satay is also good, not great. The place is small, and kind of run down, if you ask me. The bathrooms are definitely not 5 star, but luckily I don't spend much time in there. People come here for reasonable priced Thai BBQ, kind of like the sign above the entrance says. Come here for a no frills lunch or dinner, but maybe go a little more upscale if you're trying to impress your "swipe right" date. read more

My coworkers ordered the pad Thai, chicken satay, and pad kee mao and they all loved it! I'm so excited to head back to this Thai restaurant and try their other dishes! Thai Original BBQ is our go to Thai spot. My husband even orders from them for his company lunches. Tonight, I placed an order via DoorDash. I wanted to order the Larb but there was an issue with the app; it was asking for a protein but wouldn't let me make a selection. I ordered the Wings of Angel Appetizer (it was the same price as the Larb) but noted in the special instructions that we wanted the Larb. The order was delivered and we got the Larb! Thai Original BBQ is a convenient spot to order some delicious Thai delivery or take-out. The location is a wee bit hidden, being around the corner of the Starbucks. That being said, there is typically a lot of parking here which is very convenient since it is part of a larger plaza. The interior is quite small with only one or two small tables. If you're coming here, you are most certainly going to order take-out. The food here is pretty good. I've tried their pad thai and pad see ew quite often and enjoyed both. Their pad thai has a slightly unique taste to it from the bits of onions they mixed in with the noodles which add a delicate sweetness to the dish. This is my favorite Thai spot near me! I usually either order online or on the phone and the wait times are pretty accurate. The space is really small but there are tables outside for people to eat! I haven't personally eaten in the area since I usually just take it to-go. I love the chicken satay dinner plate from here! The proportions are quite big. The thai tea I also enjoy but I wish they could offer a larger size for it. I think that the pricing is reasonable for the amount they offer as well. Decided to break away from my usual delivery spots and man am I happy I did! I was craving a salad so I got the spicy beef salad. It was pretty good! The beef was overcooked but the flavor was nice. I also got the calamari rings thinking they would be just like regular calamari. They weren't. Now, I'm not saying they are better or worse but the sauce that comes with it is soooo good! It's this sweet and spicy almost honey-like sauce. The breading was better than I thought it would be but it is too heavy to eat in one meal. Also I pealed off a lot of the breading in the end. But the star of this order and the whole reason I have to get food from here again is those angel wings!!! Again they are pretty heavy so easily can be a meal on its own. But they were so delicious! They are chicken wings stuffed with glass noodles and meat, then fried. The texture was amazing, the flavor was fantastic, and it came with that yummy sauce. 3.5 stars. This restaurant located in a strip mall is primarily a to-go place. There are a couple of small tables outside if you need to eat there. We ordered the pad Thai which defaults to shrimp, drunken noodles (pad kee mao) with beef (choose your meat), and Thai iced tea. The pad Thai was a bit over seasoned as it packed a power punch of flavor. It would have been perfect if it was a little toned down. The drunken noodles were great: tasty and not too spicy. The tea came in a paper wax cup and wasn't very big but it was good. There was a strong smell of garbage right outside the restaurant. Maybe there was a garbage dump pile nearby. This place brings back so many memories, they use to be located right next to OSH and my coworkers and I would frequently eat here for lunch or dinner. A solid local thai joint that's no secret to many in the area. This place has become my go to since moving to Pacifica as it's probably the best Thai food unless you're willing to spend X amount more for quickly diminishing returns for Thai food in the city (SF). Almost everything from the pad thai, basil eggplant and bbq dishes are all up to par. Only gripe is the fact that their phone is off the hook so you're forced to show up and order in person. They recently changed locations and I do have to say this place is a lot smaller than their old place. They only allow one customer in at all times due to COVID. Definitely call ahead so you don't have to possibly wait in line/outside in the cold. There was also plenty of parking. We ordered pad see ew and panang curry. Their pad see ew with chicken was cooked perfectly! The flavor was great and the broccoli wasn't too hard or too soft. Their panang curry with chicken was definitely different, but in a good way! They added jalapeño which added more spice to the dish. Both of the orders with tax added up to ~$25. The price honestly isn't that bad compared to some other places. My boyfriend and I shared the two meals at home with some rice and even had leftovers. I'll be back when I crave Thai food again so I can try the other items in their menu. read more

Beef Satay and a order of Pad Thai Thai food staples the pad Thai was ok large pieces of shrimp descent dish but the meat entree's items where horrible the beef was flavorless with a side of peanut sauce the chicken tasted like they re-served Costco Rotisserie chicken . Yes I am super impressed with this place. You first drive into this small strip mall. that has four parallel parking lanes. My advice to you is when you try to find parking. First find the place and park closest to the street. This is because most of the stall next to the buildings are taken, Also spaces are easy to find also you only walk several car lengths. You walk into the place , the first thing I notice is that it is very clean. You are greeted with a smile and taken to a table. Wasn't busy for a Friday night. This is one of my Favorite restaurant since the 90's. They were always busy and very friendly staff. They also have the Best Delicious Thai Food and have tried all of the food in the menu. The satay chicken, fresh thai rolls, satay beef, pad thai, phadseew, and combination mix soup with shrimp, chicken, pork, and beef mix with vegetables are on top of my lists whenever I want something to go. I'm taking off one star, because they snuck a bunch of plastic utensils into my takeout bag. I'm so tired of this happening all the time. Came here on a Tuesday night after trying 2 other restaurants that close on a Tuesday?? That's okay, because this place never fails in delivering delectable entrees. We've eaten here several times and its one our go to places. If there is any room left, after the HUGE portions, we get the banana roti with ice cream. This particular night, we tried something new. Tom Kha soup. That was delicious! The coconut milk and lime flavor was really savory and pleasant to the tastebuds. They brought out the pot with the sterno to keep the soup nice and hot. I could've just eaten that for my meal. Also new to order was the yellow curry my daughters choice, which how can you get curry wrong? I actually love coconut milk in cooking, its just makes food more hearty and comforting. I especially love eating gravy and rice, who needs the meat? SIL ordered Dearest Crab his favorite entrée, and I had a taste.as always, I like most anything fried and I see why he loves it. The shrimp fried rice is really just 2 pieces of shrimp place upon the fried rice. nothing too special but it looks colorful. Thai Original BBQ is along Gellert Blvd. and located near Round Table and Ling Nam. There is plenty of parking nearby. The restaurant is on the smaller side and I believe they have a separate room if you were to have a large party. They also have a fish tank towards the front that has a few cute fishy. Today I ordered my usual, the panang curry with rice. It is a red curry with beef and a few slices of jalapeno that can easily be picked to the side if you don't want it. The menu states it may be spicy, but I have never found the curry to be spicy. I believe it's probably noted because of the jalapeno. Service is not consistent everyday. There are days where I sat there waiting to wave them over because we have been done for awhile and have been ready to pay. Luckily today they were very attentive. Use to love coming here at Westborough but as soon as I moved this place moved too. No longer a dine in restaurant and nestled in Pacifica. Was craving their angel wings and pad see ew. Ordered by phone and when I went there to pick it up I was so surprised. Literally a to go place. Order and pick up. Mind you I still have to drive 45 minutes to get home so I didn't check my food. When I got home, the take out was so little, the portion size was not worth what I was charged. Pretty let down. What happened to everyone during the pandemic. Great soup and they have a burner underneath the soup so it stays piping hot. The lunch menu is expanse and very reasonably priced at around eight dollars a dish. For some reason my wife is saying she didn't like the food this time because the chicken was cold but she wants to go back so disregard her opinion. She saying for the barbecue pork. Had my typical S-2 (ribs) and the ribs were nice and tender and fell off the bone, just the way I like'em. Everyone else enjoyed their food too without complaint. They're prob used to a lot of traffic here because our food came out pretty quick(well, it was lunch time) so they were on top of their game.
