THAI OCEAN IS A GOOD SPOT FOR THAI FOOD, i am a returning customer my friends and i always come here! they have really good quality food honestly the prices are okay and not that bad! but i do recommend they need to make their spot a little bit bigger or move somewhere better for them! but yeah the service isn't the best it is family owned and only one person taking orders so their is a wait but the food is really worth it! they're a really great spot overall i love their food! it always hits the spot and yeah i would recommend anyone to come try them out and they are very nice people as wfriendly reminder cash only!!

Terrible but terrible services. I mean i love Paulina but no improvement after so many years. During summer time it's so hot and the ac does not work or they refuse to turn it on. So many things to sadly list and it hurts to say but necessary.

I paid $18 for this to go, when I get home I was, are you kidding me . How they can charge $18 for this. If this happens often, we have to report it to the city.

This place is bomb!! I love coming here, the soup never disappoints. It's made fresh and it's a hidden spot so not many people come here. There is a overrated and flavorless Thai ocean restaurant next block over that a lot of people go to. The Abuelita is amazing and provides great customer service. You get free plantains when you come in and the soups are so good. They have their own parking lot and always find parking. The soup is lemony and hot. The rice is soft and moist. Never dry. My childhood and forever to-go spot

The Pad See Ew is the real deal, it's perfectly fried, utilizes tasty sauces, and the noodles are delicious. My only problem with this Thai spot are the portions, they're small for the price. My meal was provided in a tiny plastic container, it was a little underwhelming. I don't know if they mistakenly packed me a to-go container? Additionally, a soda fountain would be great, only cans/bottles are available here. If you're into a buzzy eateries inside Grand Central Market, you'll love this place. I definitely would come back for a light lunch or dinner. It's perfect for a chat or hangout. Staff are professional, but it would be nice if they were more warm. It was a Wednesday night in Los Angeles, it wasn't overly packed. I'm not quite sure why they were so stressed.

The regular menu is quite expensive with the cheapest at $17 for appetizer and salad options and most expensive at a whooping $80. The lunch menu was more affordable but still on the pricey side $21-$32 with add on options. The waitress was taking our orders and what surprised me was with my co-worker ordered the pad see ew and the waitress asked her how spicy she wants it. I was aw shocked. I'm not a Thai food expert but I do know pad see ew is a noodles dish that's offers a sweet soy sauce flavor. Never served spicy. I didn't get to try the dish but when I asked my co worker how it taste she said it was spicy and not sweet at all. I'm not sure that was an authentic pad see ew. I ordered from the lunch menu and got the tumeric chicken, with steamed vegetables and paid extra $7 to substitute for a papaya salad. I asked for #2 spice level but it was not spicy at all. Other co workers said they asked for medium but it was way too spicy. So it looks like their spicy levels are inconsistent. I'm not sure how this restaurant can justify the prices with the quality they are serving. Probably won't be back. Service was mediocre. Didn't offer to refill our waters. Parking is metered parking or paid lot.

My wife and I came for my birthday outing (she surprised me). Thai is always a "go to" and when we hit LA it's food time. The appetizer set the tone - crab wontons (ummmm - yeah I'm no food geography expert but I imagine they didn't originate in Thailand but who cares they rock!) My wife said probably the best she has ever had - crispy, creamy, actual crab sightings in the filling - loved it. Green curry - loaded with ingredients and aromatic and enticing. Eggplant, bamboo shoots lots of meat, veggies - and the curry underneath was loaded with flavor. Medium spice hit just right (I can handle Thai hot but I am taking it easy ok??) Drunken noodles - but an udon version? Let's try it - loved it! Again - plentiful meat, basil fragrance wafting to my nostrils, spicy sweet and savory blended sauce - fantastic. Verdict? Solid 5 on all hands. Service, ambience, food, value... You won't be sorry.

The pork came with a good mix of lean meat, fatty pieces, and braised pork skin. Everything tasted fresh and tender, and the meat wasn't dry at all, which I know some reviewers have mentioned. It had a lovely sweet, aromatic braised flavor with hints of star anise. The dipping sauce was also delicious--sweet, sour, and spicy, with a strong kick of Thai chili and fresh lime. The acidity balanced the richness of the pork really well. 5/5. I also loved the coconut chicken soup. It was tangy, fragrant, and very appetizing. The chicken and mushrooms tasted really fresh, and the whole dish felt freshly cooked rather than something that had been sitting around. I ended up drinking a lot of the broth because it was so good. 5/5. The Thai tea was decent--smooth and not overly sweet, but nothing particularly memorable. 3/5. We finished pretty much everything.
