Cute little restaurant near Iowa State! Very friendly customer service and easy to order your food for pick up over the phone. I called and my order was ready in just 15 minutes. They also accept Apple pay, which is convenient. My family enjoyed the panang beef curry and the chicken krapow fried rice! Overall, they were flavorful and good for takeout food. My family was pretty disappointed with the larb though. It tasted decent, but it was seriously a small portion for the price ($14).

Yesterday was my cheat day and I was in the mood for some fast food :-P. Ordered takeout of red curry rice. Food was ready in 20 minutes and was still warm when I started eating. Rice was well-cooked, chicken was tender and the flavors blended well. I even had leftovers for the next day :) Overall, everything was good. Only thing I wish they could have given was a cooling sauce which would compliment the rice.

Overall, great atmosphere and friendly employees. The consistency of the red curry was a bit watery, but had great flavor and a nice spice level. Crab rangoons had an oddly satisfying crunchy texture and an abundant filing with a lot of imitation crab and great flavor. The beef pad thai was very dry and the noodles were undercooked. It was a one-note dish because there was no sour or sweet element to the dish and that's what you expect from Thai cuisine. The tofu was dry and when asked for a wedge of lime, I was told they only carry packets of lemon juice. For all of the dishes, they were quite smaller in portion for how much you're paying and compared to the Thai restaurants in Des Moines.

Up in Ames and craving Thai. This was the location in campus area. Heavy traffic due to the location. I read through some reviews and went ahead and took a chance. My friends were really excited that we stopped. You walk in and you place an order at the walk up counter. Then they gave us a number. We walk down around the side of the counter and got our extras needed for our meal. Then we went to sit outside. I got the Pad Thai and my friends got the Thai Fried Rice; fried rice with either chicken, pork or beef and vegetables, egg, tomatoes and thai seasoning and a chicken stir fry meal. I got to try them all and I just wasnt as impressed as I was hoping considering the price of the meal. I thought the helping sizes would be bigger and more flavor to the meals. The menu has enough variety for any meal needs.

Never had a single dish I didn't like here, out of the dozens of times I've eaten here! Every noodle dish such as the pad thai, pad see ew, and pad key map is next-level! The curries, fried rices, and mango sticky rice are also god-tier! You can't call yourself an Ames resident or ISU student without coming here first! The food is delicious and prices are very fair!

I tried them again and I'm upset I wasted money on my birthday. Multiple people said the food improved under new ownership and was good again. It isn't awful, but it hasn't returned to it's former glory. I ordered the spicy chicken as spicy as it gets, and it tasted like they merely overpowered it with jalapenos. It's pretty inside and they're finally set up to accept credit cards.

Hands down my new fav place in Ames. I have had NUMEROUS amounts of Thai food, from places near and far and am thoroughly impressed with Thai Kitchen. The pad see ew gets great wok marks and has great flavor. I order here numerous times a week. I just began eating here and will venture out to more options!

    Not freshly cooked

My first time coming to eat here was great I had the Thai fried rice and the Thai wings, and thai tea, I was really impressed, I've come back and ordered the same thing, however I AM DISAPPOINTED. The wings the sold to me were old, like they were from the night before. I spent $46 and to get leftover wings for the price is unacceptable. Seeing that it was game day, I was looking forward to enjoying a nice meal with friends. Then I call and phone just rang until they hung up. I guess to ensure that you get fresh food you have to eat in the establishment. I don't think I'll be patronizing again. I was impressed by the speed it took for my order because I came a bit after 11 am opening time, now I understand why, they didn't cook the two orders of wings, they were just heated up and sold. I guess they don't care. VERY DISAPPOINTED I will post a picture of them, because when I got home and opened the container, you could tell

So 2 summers ago I lived in China, and apparently on a Monday night in Ames, all the Chinese restaurants are closed. So I hobbled to the Thai Kitchen! It was very good! I tried the Pad See Eil per recommendation from a friend and I got chicken with it. All for about $8! The menu is big so there was so much I wanted to try. We got spring rolls as an appetizer to share and they were just okay but overall I was happy with my dinner. Wish I would have noticed the bubble tea and hot tea menu sooner. I'll be back to try something else!

One of my favorite places to eat in Ames. Tasty Thai food in a cheap price! The location is very convenient as well, closer to the campus.

Pretty run of the mill, but they are willing to take special requests if you want to change part of an entrée. Great sticky rice, too!

Great vegetarian green curry. Sadly zero atmosphere so I usually do take out. A little over priced as well.

This is my "go to" Chinese Restaurant in Ames. They do many things well such as hot pot,…read moredry-braised, noodle soups and cold and hot appetizers. My all-time favorite is a sour fish noodle soup with pickled mustard cabbage. Try the cold, ox organ appetizer! The service is friendly, but not great. Sel-help is required when ordering and boxing up leftover food. The ambiance is acceptable, but not outstanding. I go there for a quick lunch so my expectations for service are nominal. I go there because I like the food so much.

We had several questions about the menu and she knew each item and was able to explain the ones we asked about. We were in a noodle mood and stuck with the basics. We started with an order of pork potstickers. They were pretty good and my mom really liked the dipping sauce they came with. It was good, but I prefer straight soy sauce - which the server brought us. We ordered Chicken Lo Mein, Pan-Fried Thick Rice Noodles with beef, and Pan-Fried Vermicelli with pork. Each dish had a good amount of meat which was great since each of the meats were the most tender pieces I have ever had from a Chinese/Tai/Asian place in Ames. Even the white meat chicken was so tender and not dry at all. Every piece of meat was so soft and flavorful! We cant' wait to go back and try some more adventurous dishes.
