It's been only in the last year or so that I've gotten into Thai food. I live relatively close to Thai Jasmine restaurant so a friend and I went there for dinner. The place has a nice look to it. There's an inside and outside eating areas. We sat outside. It was a quiet night so there weren't many people there, which is good if you're wanting to have a quieter night. The little fountain near our table was a nice touch for atmosphere.
So then we get to the food. It has your stir fries and noodle/rice dishes so like Pad Pak and Pad Thai. Nothing too out of the ordinary (regarding Thai food). And when the food came out it smelled good, as Thai tends to. But there was just something missing. Maybe they had toned down the spices a little too much to appropriate it to Australians but it wasn't a particularly memorable meal. The pricing is ok so it's not like I was demanding my money back. Maybe if I go again it'll be different. However, there was an awful lot of people at the take away counter so it must have many regulars. read more
