If you want some yummy Thai food within 30 min of Lima, this is not just your only place to find Thai but it's dang good! The fried rice is absolutely mouthwatering and the portions are massive! Last time I was in, my plate contained three meals worth of vegetable fried rice. Prices are very fair and the food is terrific. It's not in the beta part of town but don't let the bars on the windows deter you. I've never had an issue with safety going to or from. This spot is totally worth a visit. read more

Service was excellent. Spring rolls are to die for, the sauce under them is amazing. Main course was more than I could eat. Flavor combinations you don't normally see together, but combine perfectly. I never knew this place was there til a friend told me a few years ago. I don't know anyone who's been there & not liked it. It's authentically different from the usual fare & family-owned, so if you're a regular, they know your name. Food is consistently delicious & they have added on to the building & enlarged their parking lot to accommodate more people. read more

What a great find! I don't know how this place ended up in Lima, Ohio but it could make a name for itself in a large city. Kinda looks like a repurposed house but inside it is very cozy and nice. The decor is awesome and really sets the vibe. My waitress had such a great smile and was very energetic. I ordered the seafood soup and it was outstanding! Huge chunks of seafood (shrimp, scallops, clams) throughout and there were enough that I didn't have to fish for them. (Pun intended) All the seafood had great flavor too and the seasoning of the soup was terrific. A lot of great options on the menu and everything I saw coming out of the kitchen looked very appealing. Will not go back. Too bad b/c food is good. No social distancing all of the tables were full. Not even 3 feet between me and the table next to me. If Governor DeWine shuts down restaurants it is because of places like this. if you like good Thai food but don't mind the risk with Covid exposure this is the place. PS. Oh yes, Thai Jasmine knows what they're doing! Went back again today and still amazing. My husband loved his pineapple cashew chicken entrée. It had a natural sweetness to it and everything tasted SUPER fresh in both of our dishes. I also really enjoyed my ginger chicken with requested extra broccoli, though they did sadly forget the additional shrimp I had asked for as well. Wasn't a huge loss though since my meal was more than filling and the all white chicken was delicious and plentiful. Even the simple steamed rice is awesome since it's not all lumpy and overcooked like I find at similar restaurants. Yes, only one woman was manning the floor and serving the food (and it was a very busy restaurant for the middle of a workday) but she handled it well and was able to stay friendly enough as she buzzed around the room. No complaints on the customer service, and the restaurant and bathrooms have always been super clean during our visits so overall we've been incredibly impressed with Thai Jasmine. I see my husband and I becoming regulars at this place very, very soon :) read more

A gem here in Lima. I was here for a business trip and stopped in to have a meal. Authentic Thai flavors, fresh ingredients, wonderful attentive staff and lots of healthy options to choose from. I even asked for green papaya salad- traditional Thai style ( not on the menu) but the chef came out and asked me what I liked and how I liked it and they said they had some papaya in the back and they could make it! This place was great. Was driving back with a colleague from business in Dayton and decided to stop by since we both love Thai food on the way back to Detroit. I am so glad that the reviews were spot on and didn't steer us wrong. We had the seafood curry and the duck curry and 2 Thai iced teas. They were both amazingly delicious. Don't let the small outside appearance scare you away. When you get inside it has authentic that decor all around that screams mom and pop restaurant and tasty authentic. The depth of flavor is more difficult to achieve than most know. I had my fair share of bland or watery curry and this is not it. Too bad this place isn't closer so I could frequent it more. Anywho I've got clients here and when I come visit them...I'm never leaving without eating here at least for one of my meals. ok Thai food for small town but definitely not as good as in big cities. I was excited about Mango curry (medium spicy) but it was thumbs down - not spicy at all and the mango was cooked to a sour mush... it would have been better if fresh mango chunks are mixed in at the end and not cooked thru or even blended into the sauce. There were lot of shrimp in it though. Also got chicken satay salad - the greens were fresh and a good amount was provided. It came w peanut sauce and a sweeter plum tasting dressing. Both were tasty. However the chicken seemed pre-made and had no flavor. The best part of my meal was the Tom Yum soup. They were different from what I was expecting but they were good. The dish is a change from typical pad Thai you see on every Thai restaurant menu. The only thing that sucks about this place is that it is in a run down part of town. There was road construction and I had to drive through more of the neighborhood than I would have liked. Fact #1: I don't know the last thing about Thai food. We don't have any Thai options near where I live. Fact #2: I didn't get to be an overweight, oops, I meant to say "big boned," man by eating food that tasted bad. Fact #3: This place is on my short list of places to visit if I'm driving through Lima and it's time to eat. The food is delicious, which is a priority for a big-boned man. The prices are reasonable, which works well with my expense reports. All of the menu items clearly spell out what they are made with, which makes trying new things less of a mystery--not that I don't enjoy the occasional mystery.
