We were warmly welcomed as soon as we walked in it turns out we were the first customers of the day -- and told to sit anywhere we liked. I had been wanting to try the Coconut Panang, but I was a little nervous it might be too spicy for me since it's marked as spicy on the menu. Our waiter took the time to explain the dish in detail and reassured me about the spice level, so I decided to go for it and I'm so glad I did! It was absolutely delicious. My husband ordered the Rib Eye Yaki, and it was amazing as well full of flavor and perfectly cooked. Everything from the food to the service was top-tier. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. We'll definitely be back sooner next time!

If there is one thing I dislike, it is trying to enjoy a meal out and it's cold inside. Service was prompt and cordial. When I asked what was preferred between two dishes there was no hesitation in making a recommendation, although I don't think either choice would have been bad. I had the equivalent to Pad-see-ew. It was good! I base a lot of Thai restaurants based on how good their noodle dishes are since it's such a staple dish. Flavors were on point, the chicken was not dry, and the noodles were not overcooked. The serving sizes were okay, but like someone else mentioned, other restaurants tend to give bigger portions. It seems you can't go to many restaurants these days and find a dish for under $20. This place is no exception. A bit pricey, but it is what it is. Lunch specials have more decent pricing. My son ordered from the children's menu and it was nice that his portion size was decent. He had the chicken and gyoza. It was good! The only small issue was the chicken salad. There was a picture on the of what looked more like an Asian chopped salad, but it came out with lettuce like you'd get when ordering Caesar's salad. The chicken and dressing was good, but not what was expected. Wouldn't order again. Hot green tea was priced well at $1.50. I often wonder where other restaurants get off charging $5 for a simple green tea. :) Parking: ample spaces in a large private lot of a strip mall type shopping center.

It's a bit of a secret because most of the business seems to be takeout, and the magic is happening in the kitchen, not the dining area. We stopped in during the lunch rush, and it was busy and energetic. If you're in a big hurry or prefer quiet, off-peak hours might be better. But the noise comes from a hardworking kitchen turning out food that's clearly made with care. The husband-and-wife owners know exactly what they're doing. We ordered the chicken yakisoba (non-spicy), which came with steamed rice and a side salad. The portions were generous, and every bite was flavorful and satisfying even without any heat. There are just a few tables up front since most of the space is dedicated to cooking. The owners were kind, attentive, and checked in on us several times despite how busy they were. You can tell they genuinely care about their food and their customers. We're glad we finally discovered this place. Teriyaki Secret earns its name not because it's hard to find, but because it's easy to overlook something this good.

I've never left a review to a restaurant in my life, but after this I genuinely felt compelled to…read moredownload yelp and speak on this. My sister drove into town with her partner after 10 years, so my wife and I decided to try this Greek restaurant all together. Immediately, my sister used the restroom and none of the doors locks on the stalls worked so she asked someone to stand in front of the stall for her. After some time, I used the men's restroom where one of the sinks had no running water. Obviously starting out poorly, though we were hungry and chose to stay... spoiler... it was a mistake. The four of us decided to try the Greek chicken, a beef as well as lamb gyro, and the lasagna. When we received our Greek salad and soup, the salad was really just a plate of cheese with an olive held by its stem still, and the soup I genuinely thought was just a Campbell canned chicken noodle. We ordered two cokes and a sprite, which tasted like sweet carbonated pond water, lacking any flavor. We received four slices of "pita" bread which were soggy and burnt. Not sure how they managed the combination... When we received our food, the potatoes looked like they were canned, covered in all but oil and onion. The beef gyro, my sister said looked like a burnt plastic slice of fake food you would play with as a child. The Greek chicken had strong pink in the center. The lamb gyro was dry and yet dripping oil and the tzatziki sauce tasted like a ranch packet. Lastly, the lasagna was slathered in hard cheese, and left me tasting nothing but grease and bland noodles. I have never complained in my life about food, nor have I left a full plate. None of us even ate a quarter of our meals as we genuinely couldn't stomach it. When the waitress came by to check on us, we had no words. She stated without us saying anything in a tone like she expected this reaction, "you didn't seem to touch your food, was none of it good?" And that's when my sister's partner laid out the entirety of the issues we had, and asked if the potato's were canned which the waitress replied were roasted in the oven... and then sped away without anything else. She came back with the check, leaving us to pay over $110 for the food we couldn't even stomach, with no apology or way of making up for the lack of... well, anything... that a restaurant should have. It genuinely felt like we were in an episode of kitchen nightmare, and truly, we don't even know if Gordon Ramsey could stomach helping this restaurant. I'm just left speechless and incredibly dissatisfied. Even after spending so much money, we walked down to another restaurant to try again. Goodluck to anyone else who tries this place.

I wanted to buy both a roll of choice and an entree to go. The only way to do that at a reasonable price is the Bento box. I've never ordered one. The first drawback is that I was limited to four pieces of only a California roll with a choice of entre. Four pieces is fine but I wish I could have a choice of roll. They need to do something to keep the roll from getting hot when packaged in a to-go order. I had to put it in the freezer to get it cold. I may be wrong, but I think the California Rolls for the Bento must be premade since that is what goes into the Bento and who know when The rice was really dry. The box also comes with rice, two gyoza, tempura shrimp and vegetables, miso soup and a salad. Quite a bit of food. I don't like miso, so I told them not to pack it. The gyoza was fine. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think tempura batter should be seasoned for flavor. This was totally without flavor. Dipping sauce is needed and I guess that is what the soy sauce if for. I'm not a fan of soy sauce so I also guess I shouldn't be ordering tempura. But seems like I have experienced good tasing tempura. I ordered pork teriyaki as my entree. There was plenty, but it was very dry. Again, I may be wrong, but shouldn't teriyaki have enough sauce to dampen your rice, of which there was not enough to go with the dry pork. Too much wrong to try this restaurant again.

It's big, clean, and bright with lovely views over the water, and parking is pretty easy. We started with some appetizers of gyoza, crab rangoon, and edamame. You can't go wrong! Everything was nice and hot, and crispy when needed. Miso soup came out and it was a bit different, but still solid. I am a sushi addict and have no self control around it, so while my friends ordered one roll each, I opted for the Umi Box with a tuna roll, and a specialty unagi roll. We did a share share that's fair, and it was all pretty decent. Some of the tops of my nigiri were a little stringy, but that's usually due to chance. It's hard to compare with some of the best (and super cheap) sushi 20 min from the door, over in BC, but for places in Whatcom, I think it has a lot of potential and is a lot nicer than others in the area. That being said, you definitely pay for it. Sushi, in general, is just SO expensive in the states compared to Canada, so be prepared. I am ending with service because that can truly make or break a meal, and it definitely makes it. Our server was Amara, with Jordan and "Boss Man" making stops to drop food or to check on us. It wasn't super crowded, but it made the experience really pleasant and personal. I'm glad to support a small business.
