My family and I came in right as they reopened for dinner at 4. The space is pretty small and homey, it was quiet at the start but it picked up as we were finishing our meal. We were all pleasantly surprised with how good the food was as we aren't from the area and didn't have any recommendations. We got the Thai chili fried rice, drunken noodles, massaman curry, and the papaya salad. All the dishes were really good and had good spice levels. The waitress was also very kind and attentive while we were there. Overall, I wasn't expecting this to be one of my favorite Thai meals I've had, but I would definitely come back and try more on the menu! read more

A small restaurant so sometimes there is a wait for seating. This building has been so many different businesses since I moved here in 1987. And it's showing its age from all the changes. However, the staff are super friendly, the food is super delicious, fresh and so flavorful. Many great items to choose from. They offer eat in and take out. Looking forward to trying more. read more

SUCH good food! This is a tiny little place so you might have to wait for a table, but I promise it's worth it. Everything I've had here is excellent and full of flavour. My favourite is the pad kee mow. They offer different spice levels and I like medium or hot. Fair warning... "Thai spicy" is a level above hot and it will melt your face. Dine in the restaurant to enjoy their hospitality and experience the food fresh as it should be. Noodle dishes especially don't travel well. read more

Tried this in a last minute whim just before closing. It was a bit pricey but the food was good! We ordered pad si ew beef, green curry chicken and spring rolls. Asked for mild but the curry had a bit more kick to it though it tasted really good. Tried 3 Thai places in Abby and this one is the best. I got the Thai peanut sauce (came with rice). $16.99. I asked if they could add cauliflower considering there's only 2 veggies. The peanut sauce was good, but not great. I got 2 portions of food out of this, so it was worth $17! The service was fast and very friendly. I defiantly want to try other options from here! read more

OMG! I am blown away by the food at this place. My first reaction when I reached this place was, 'oh no, another hole-in-the-wall Thai place.' But the first impression is not always the last. I ordered the seafood plate, which is a combination of grilled prawns, squid, mussels, and scallops in Thai Red Curry sauce. Man, this was one of the most excellent Thai food I have ever eaten: the taste, the portion size, and the service - 10/10. My partner had the cashew curry vegetables, and she concurred with me on the quality and quantity of her meal. I highly recommend this place if you are in the neighborhood. read more

This restaurant had some very big highs and lows for me. It's a small cozy restaurant that smells amazing from all the great food. If you're a big green tea drinker I would recommend the tea, as it's thia tea and it's unlike anything I've ever had! We went for a late dinner on a Saturday and there was 4 tables and a couple of take outs, with 2 servers. Service was a little slow but I can understand as one table was a table of 8. The prices of meals are decent, at around $13 per plate. We both ordered noodle dishes. I ordered mine with tofu, while my significant other order theirs with chicken. I was almost half way through my meal and this was when things went sideways for myself. As I was eating I took a bite of my dish and I sadly bit into a piece of chicken. Now I'm very strict with no land animal meat, and this was very unpleasant. It does give me some hesitations in regards to how clean the cross contamination is. But we informed the waiter of what had occurred and they apologized and replaced the meal. It wasn't the same dish as I was given before as they did run out of the noodles I had chosen, there was no mushrooms out in this time and the portion was smaller. They mentioned how they would discount it, due to what had occurred. They took off about $3 of my dish. All in all the food was good and it's a great spot for some traditional thia food that you can select the amount of spice you would like. In future it would be nice if the occurrence of cross contamination with meat was to occur that the dish would be replaced to the same as it was before to the best of their ability or that the compensation would be more substantial. My significant other had to wait on me to try and eat and because it took an additional 15 minutes for the food to cook the restaurant was closed, and I couldn't enjoy my meal. They have great lunch specials that I hope to go back to try with hopefully a much more positive experience. read more

We've eaten here several times in the past 12 months. A few times when permitted, others using takeout pickup. If I could wish for one thing better about the quality, price & service it would be "please locate closer to White Rock". Great little place serving excellent Thai food at a very reasonable price. Abbotsfordians will recognize this tiny location as the former Penang restaurant, and I'm probably dating myself by saying that I recall its long-past history as an ice cream spot. It's been nicely updated. We went on a very warm day, and when the waitress saw me fanning myself with the menu, she brought an electric fan and set it up by our table, which I really appreciated. The food was delicious; we started with spring rolls and went on to have Penang curry with chicken, and beef with peanut sauce. Medium heat was perfect for us. Any of the curry or sauce options can be ordered with your choice of protein, which makes it appropriate for a vegan diet if you opt for tofu. We were starving when we got there, and left very satisfied. Extremely friendly service. Will definitely be back. read more

We ordered pineapple fried rice which was clearly made with a frozen bag of mixed veggies and contained exactly three pieces of pineapple, and what turned out to be the saltiest pad Thai we've ever tasted. this is the best thai place in abbotsford. quite frankly the best thai ive ever had. i have never had a meal from here that wasnt exceptionally delicious and i have never had an experience that wasnt extremely kind and welcoming in the restaurant. the owners are very sweet and really just want you to love the experience. tonight i ordered off of skip the dishes and due to an error of skip, my food hadnt arrived after an hour even though it said it would only be 30 minutes. im pretty sure the driver accepted my order while on another delivery because i watched him drive in circles across town for over 25 minutes on the driver map. i finally got through to cancel the delivery & i just went to pick it up. since the food was over 30 minutes ready it was soggy and lukewarm and not fresh. despite it being past closing time they remade my whole order for me very quickly due to the error that was no fault of their own at all. i really really appreciate this i know so many places wouldn't be willing to do that. they give 11/10 service every time. thank read more

This was some pretty amazing Thai food, it was just all around fresh and delicious! After getting home from Thailand in early November, I was having withdrawals! I tried this restaurant for the first time, and was immediately in my happy place it was delicious, no complaints about food at all!! The only issue was the service. The staff were perfectly friendly and for a small restaurant, they had quite a few servers helping each other out. But everything still took sooo long. When e asked for tea, 2 of 4 of us got tea. Then we got an extra teacup and only 3 of 4 ended up enjoying the tea. Food took almost an hour to come out and we were starving. I would highly suggest changing the way either the kitchen functions or the service functions, as this could've easily been a 5 star review. But because of the fact that our dinner took over 2 hours purely because of the restaurant, and not because we sat and chatted for a while, it can use some improvement. 3 star service, 5 stars for the food, I will definitely be back and give it another shot! read more
