    E3 thai peanut sauce
    Ally S.

I got the Thai peanut sauce (came with rice). $16.99. I asked if they could add cauliflower considering there's only 2 veggies. The peanut sauce was good, but not great. I got 2 portions of food out of this, so it was worth $17! The service was fast and very friendly. I defiantly want to try other options from here!

OMG! I am blown away by the food at this place. My first reaction when I reached this place was, 'oh no, another hole-in-the-wall Thai place.' But the first impression is not always the last. I ordered the seafood plate, which is a combination of grilled prawns, squid, mussels, and scallops in Thai Red Curry sauce. Man, this was one of the most excellent Thai food I have ever eaten: the taste, the portion size, and the service - 10/10. My partner had the cashew curry vegetables, and she concurred with me on the quality and quantity of her meal. I highly recommend this place if you are in the neighborhood.

Great little place serving excellent Thai food at a very reasonable price. Abbotsfordians will recognize this tiny location as the former Penang restaurant, and I'm probably dating myself by saying that I recall its long-past history as an ice cream spot. It's been nicely updated. We went on a very warm day, and when the waitress saw me fanning myself with the menu, she brought an electric fan and set it up by our table, which I really appreciated. The food was delicious; we started with spring rolls and went on to have Penang curry with chicken, and beef with peanut sauce. Medium heat was perfect for us. Any of the curry or sauce options can be ordered with your choice of protein, which makes it appropriate for a vegan diet if you opt for tofu. We were starving when we got there, and left very satisfied. Extremely friendly service. Will definitely be back.

Fast service, portion is good too. Looks like a hole in the wall restaurant in abbotsford, due to its location and appearance outside.

Very good food on the two dishes I had. Not greasy unlike the fast food versions out there. Worth the trip if you like Thai.

When I was there, it was not very busy, so I got a table right away. The inside of the restaurant had a classy look to while still maintaining the Japanese aesthetic to it. The menu has so many more choices than I have seen any Japanese restaurant carry. From sushi and donburi bowls to Korean chicken and Fried Nori Tacos I actually had trouble deciding what I wanted because of how much there was to choose from. I ordered the Janjangmyun with the Crazy Boy Sushi Roll. The janjangmyun was fantastic overall. The noodles were great on their own, the caramelized onions were succulent, and the black bean sauce helps make everything in the dish taste exuberant. The sushi roll was fresh, crunchy, meaty and full of flavour. The service was nice, and I liked the waitress that served me. I really look forward to coming back to Noodle Road because I want to try their K-Pop Chicken the next time I come there. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Soy garlic = unfortunately, this made me sick afterwards. Chicken was old and chewy. We knew it wasn't fresh because we've had endless amounts of Korean fried chicken at many places in Canada and in Korea. Batter was so thick, as if it was re-battered and refried. The chicken pieces were so tiny that they got lost in the batter. It was also too sweet. If you're not a fan of sweet fried chicken, don't order this. We didn't think soy garlic would be too sweet so we were quite disappointed and didn't want to send food back when many around the world barely have anything to eat. Fried rice = taste was fantastic but the portion was tiny for a plate that cost about $19! I was surprised to have onion and sauce served with it; never had it before but I didn't mind it. It didn't elevate the dish or did anything to it so it could've been left out. Service = good. The hostess was friendly. Ambience = it is small but clean. Nothing much to say about decor but what is most important is that the tables and dishes are clean.

I like that they packaged it in a to-go container so all I had to do was ask for a lid. I'd for sure go here again and get the same thing! So when we heard there was going to be one opening in Abbotsford we were thrilled. Sadly we were disappointed... To start, there was no sauce, just dry noodles and veggies...I took that first dish up to counter and was told the noodles absorb all the liquid...I will mention again that I have had this same dish for about 10 years at several other locations and the dish has always been made in same consistent way...with sauce! They made me a second dish and said they added extra sauce...nope, it was still bitter and dry... I wanted to just leave the entire dish there and provide feedback but my spouse is very low key and didn't want any attention so we "packed it up to go" and said we were not as hungry as we thought and just threw it in the garbage now when we got home...we won't go back! If you are a fan of Noodlebox in the past, save yourself time & money and don't go to Abbotsford location!! What we figured out is they skip the coconut milk and seem to make it with some bitter curry...there is no smoothness or hint of sweetness that coconut milk provides but instead, too much "heat" and bitterness of the curry they use comes through. It's too bad because we really were looking forward to the convenience of the Abbotsford location but we won't be back ***update*** Emailed their head office to let them know they may need to provide some additional cooking/ training and email back was to say although the dish was off, they are happy we had good customer service. ?????? Missed the point I think!
