I placed an order for takeout here and they ended up having a little mix up and sent my order away with the wrong person. The owner insisted on having my boyfriend and I dine in instead and they treated us so amazingly and even made us a special tea. They were so apologetic and the owner is the kindest man. The food was very good as well. I have eaten here before and have always been satisfied but they truly go above and beyond with their service. Such a cute restaurant! read more

FOOD IS AMAZING I love Thai delight, after a friend took me here I was hooked. The pad Thai is fantastic and my whole family loves it! read more

This order was to-go. I called the order in and it was ready very fast. I had the Pad See-Ew with Chicken and Shrimp, Thai tea and also an order of Thai Spring Rolls. It was very good. The sweet and sour sauce had a nice flavor as well. My son had Pad See-Ew with Beef and Pork, Thai Tea and also Pork Gyoza. He really liked it. Next time we will get a single order of the Beef Pad See-Ew (As the beef is what we liked the most) with a little more spice than we requested before. The portion size is very large so easily enough food for two people to share. Highly recommend! read more

I had the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant when we dined here. There were six of us, one of which was a small child. To start, the waitresses could not keep track of who was getting drink orders and who had gotten the food orders. They also didn't know the cost of substituting items and took 5 minutes to find out the cost of substituting 1 item in a sushi roll. After the hassle of ordering, our food wasn't delivered at the same time. We had two group members order only sushi (two a piece), two of us ordered an entree and roll, one an entree, and the child was ordered an appetizer. Our members who ordered sushi did not get both of their rolls at the same time, as well as the other rolls were brought out randomly. Two of the entrees were delivered. That was all the food that was brought out to us. The appetizer for the child was not even made until the other party members had finished their meals and had to be taken to go. I had to cancel my entree as we had been there over an hour and had to leave. The sushi roll I received (a yellowtail roll) was overly sweet and had very, very little fish in it. We were all still charged full price for our meals, despite two main items being completely forgotten. To say I was disappointed is an extreme understatement. I highly enjoy thai food and was looking forward to trying this restaurant. I will never return to this restaurant. read more

Read a review for this place that claimed it was dirty. It's far from it. It's in a little strip mall, clean, well lit, and a different atmosphere than anywhere I've been. There is a live piano player, and also a large TV with the game on. None of it intrusive, just different. Menu selection is enormous, but just shy of too much to choose from. I had the Thai springs rolls, spicy vegetable noodle (3 on a scale of 5) and it was just right. Also ordered a spicy vegetable roll. Service was impeccable. Waitress and host were prompt to keep waters and iced tea full. Food came out quick and price is about what you would expect for Sunday dinner. Will definitely come back. read more

The chicken pad Thai is my favorite dish here! It's always a great option when I want something quick and don't want to cook. They are located really close to campus which is a plus! I recommend! read more

Best Thai food in Norman, though there are many Thai Delight stands above the rest. Has reliably vegan food, and makes you feel reassured that your food is in fact vegan. All the servers are nice and thoughtful. read more

Pretty terrible experience. I've eaten takeout from here many times but decided to go into the restaurant tonight for dinner. We waited over an hour for our cups of water and watched as several parties that were seated after us get their food. I approached the counter to let them know we would be leaving to get dinner somewhere else. It was only after I did this that the server went to the kitchen and prepared the soup we ordered an hour earlier. Then, she walked to the sushi counter where our rolls had been waiting for who knows how long. We were presented with the entire check and half-hearted apology. The service here is atrocious. It's a shame considering the interior ambiance is so great. If you choose to eat here, get take out and save your evening. Trust me. read more

I had the traditional Thai Boat Noodle. The soup had too much beef fat in it. The broth was pretty good not too salty. The spice of three was not enough heat for me but good for those who don't eat spicy too often. I will definitely come back and try the other dishes. They also have a great lunch special menu from 11-3. read more

I love Thai Delight in Norman on campus corner. I probably order take out once a week, and i eat in once a month. The staff is sometimes slow when it is busy, but they are always friendly. There is also live music which is nice. If mistakes are made with your order, the owner usually comes out to apologize and brings you a free appetizer. If you check in on yelp, you can get a free soda. (i always do this) I love thai delight and it is my favorite place in norman. I recommend the volcano chicken! read more

The service was absolutely horrible. One of the staff members arrogantly disputed us when we kindly told her that one of the dishes was too spicy. It was our first time eating at the restaurant. read more

I have never written a review before but this place is so bad that I had to say something. I ordered a Pork Panang Curry for $15. Ordering a meal at that price, I'm sure everyone would expect the food to be somewhat well made. Well, in my case, I was served raw pork. After eating the first 2-3 pieces, I notice that pork texture was chewy and different. I decided to take a piece of meat out of the curry and rinse it to find out that the pork was not cooked at all. So yes that is my experience with this restaurant. Thank you for reading. read more

We came during a lunch break with little-to-no knowledge about what type of food or service they are known for. Even though we appeared to come in during the lunch rush, the service was pretty timely. We ordered the 6.99 pad Thai lunch & the kao soi. The pad Thai had an odd fishy smell even though we ordered the chicken. I wasn't crazy about it. The tofu kao soi however, is a winner! The flavor is amazing. read more

HORIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. First time ever being here and they have great appetizers(besides spring rolls-just cabbage) but other than that--waste of time. Took 15 mins for someone to even come get drinks. Everything you want to "change" is an up charge automatically. Like fried rice is $2.50. That's fine, not being able to eat seaweed-oh you get charged for a different paper. Cold miso soup. Cold, chewy "teriyaki" chicken. Told waitress-she told owner and said "meal is on the house". Owner came and talked to us and insisted making more chicken even though we didn't want it. Even after remake chicken was still chewy. Asked waitress to at least charge for drinks because we had no cash. She came back and said he said to charge full price now that he made you new chicken. One "waitress" and she was rude. Will never be back. Like ever. read more

This is one of our go-to restaurants in Norman. GREAT food, good atmosphere and nice people.

Kinda mid tbh....To start you get 3 menus and they give you about an hour to review. In the second hour of your outing here you get the opportunity to actually order food which is pretty nice I love that aspect of restaurants. You get a pretty mid soup which is sweet. Food is Ight but they like increased menu prices which kinda sucks donkey balls. I heavily fw the live piano dude so I added a star. Reincarnation of Elton John I swear. Thanks for reading. By the way emily please call Me. Okay cool that's all. read more

Mixed experiences. My first time there was amazing. The food was great and the service was okay, but my second visit was terrible. The server barely acknowledged us and had someone else take care of us during the middle of our meal. Next time I order from here, it will be take out. read more

I HIGHLY recommend! The service and attention has improved tremendously as we've moved towards less stringent masking mandates, although staff wisely continue to mask. The food is beautifully plated. But the most important detail to me is the taste. Thai Delight's house specialties are what makes this place uniquely different from other Asian inspired restaurants. I can't remember the name of what I ordered but it included pork belly, potatoes, onions, peanuts, and fresh ginger in a brown served with rice. It was SO good for lunch that I placed a to-go order after work the same day to serve as dinner for my husband. He liked it, but wasn't nearly as thrilled about it as I was. However, we both agreed that it's an fantastic dose of comfort food that's worth the price. Bottom line. The food here tastes fresh and isn't overpowered by the heavy taste of oils I've found in common with too many Asian inspired restaurants. If you're searching for something to eat in this food category, I'd say it's a pretty safe bet that you'll find more than what you might expect from the average options by giving this place a try. read more

There's nothing better than spending a beautiful fall afternoon in Norman. I was able to take some Norman meetings for work around a fun lunch with a favorite former professor. He suggested Thai Delight, and I was, well, delighted. We had the lunch special, which for me, meant chicken pad thai for $6.99 which included not only the sizeable entree, but also a spring roll and soup or salad. I opted for the soup, which was a light, nice broth affair with some noodles. The lunch was delicious and affordable, the service was fast and friendly, and we could have been in and out in about 30 minutes if we had wanted to be. We were catching up and taking our time, and the atmosphere afforded that opportunity. read more

I ordered the Fresh Spring Roll and the New York Roll Togo. I was greeted by a hostess and sushi chef as soon as I walked in. The restaurant was clean and slightly empty but the staff was happy. I ordered my food and the waitress gave it to the kitchen right away. I waited for no more than 10 minutes before my food was out. The hostess thanked me and I left. When I got home not only was all my food correct it was neatly packaged in Togo containers. The Fresh Spring rolls were pretty good, slightly longer than I'm used to but Fresh Spring Rolls are not a Thai tradition so they were more than fair. The peanut sauce was not too strong either which is a common mistake, it had good texture and flavor. There was no after taste either (which I fully expected) second best I've had. The New York Roll was well constructed and aesthetically pleasing. It came with fresh ginger and wasabi along with a small container of soy sauce. Something you don't see in a Togo sushi a container for soy sauce. It makes it easier than trying to find your own container at home. The roll tasted pretty good, but I also didn't get anything extravagant. All and all great experience. I'll definitely be back. read more

Our favorite, favorite, favorite restaurant.. We love this place and eat here at least once a week. I'm sad to give such a low rating, because I thought I would really enjoy this place after reading all the positive reviews but I was very disappointed with our meals. The service was extremely friendly, but when we ordered water with lemon we received limes instead. The water was also just tap water, and it came with no ice so, tasted horrible just like how luke warm tap water would taste like. We ordered the cheese rolls, Thai spring rolls, a black dragon sushi roll, and the spicy noodles level 5. The spicy noodles and cheese rolls tasted pretty decent, and edible but nothing great or amazing. My friend said the Thai spring rolls tasted bad, and only ate a couple. I did not try the Thai spring rolls after he stopped eating them. The black dragon roll was a sushi roll consisting of avocado, asparagus, shrimp tempura inside, and eel on the outside. The presentation was lovely, but it came with a rotten orange presentation which was just gross. The roll also was very small, and the eel slices were sliced so thin, might as well have been no eel at all. The avocado was pretty much also non-existent, and the asparagus did not compliment the rolls flavor at all. The shrimp tempura was the worst I've had in the Oklahoma area. It tasted like peanuts, geez.. I thought everything was very reasonably priced, but thought the roll was way overpriced for pretty much just shrimp tempura and asparagus at 15.95 or so. I've gotten much more food and much better quality for less in price at fancier sushi restaurants. Oh, forgot to mention we were also told we had to wait 30 minutes or so to get our food due to a large table which was fine, and they did give us complimentary miso soup, but the miso soup was instant miso and also tasted not good. I feel sad, I still have not found a place in Norman that I truly love to eat at, because I seem to be in Norman often. I don't think I'll come back here again, and I'm sorry I had to give such a bad review. read more

I'm on a quest for finding the best pad Thai in Norman, and this place is not bad at all. To be honest, I like Thai Delight so much because of the large food selection rather than the pad Thai itself, which is just okay. I've had their other Thai foods like the kao soi and pad see-ew and thought they were pretty good! The ambience is really nice, and it's a pseudo-fancy place (with its soft music and pleasant decor and setup). I've tried a couple of their sushi rolls, and they aren't bad either! They're not the best sushi I've had, but they're decent if you're in the mood for it. And if you're allergic to peanuts then I'm sorry because their salad with peanut dressing is probably my favorite part of every meal here. Seriously. It's so good. Definitely check out their lunch menu, too. I mean, I'm on a college student budget, so I'll take the good Thai food at the smaller price. read more

My new favorite lunch spot in Norman, is "delightfully" tasty Thai food. The perfect dish for me is fresh basil sauteed with bell peppers, mushrooms, shrimp and spiciness, I went 3 next time I'm going to level 4! I'm going to try other dishes but we are off to a very good start here! The atmosphere is relaxed, clean and comfortable a good spot for dining in small groups for sure. The Thai lunch special prices Tue-Fri seem really reasonable so give it a try for lunch if you can, maybe you'll run into me! read more

It has been 10 years since I've been back here! It was a fave while I was in undergrad. I was pleasantly surprised to see they've renovated some to have more booths! Their pad thai was mediocre at best. The flavor was majorly lacking, and it tasted like there was something missing-- like an important ingredient or something. It almost didn't taste like pad thai. Their pineapple fried rice was good but not great. There was nothing special about it. Their sushi is good but you can get better sushi somewhere else for much cheaper! The only items I would recommend are their desserts. I especially loved the cheesecake tempura with vanilla ice cream and the mango sticky rice. The cheesecake tempura was rich and delicious, and it can feed 2-3 people. Definitely worth the price! The mango sticky rice has a such a unique taste. I loved the blend of coconut milk, sweet sticky rice and fresh mango. I also have to commend the staff. They were all very lovely. Our server was all smiles and catered to all our needs. She refilled our drinks timely. She popped in every once in a while to ask how we were doing but wasn't too overbearing or annoying. Overall, Thai Delight was okay. Food wasn't bad but it also wasn't great. read more

My daughter & I enjoyed Sunday lunch...Excellent Service! The Thia tea was good, sweet, but had water to offset. We shared 2 sushi rolls. If you prefer cooked over raw they have a large assortment. We finished with the cheesecake with ice-cream. Great for all ages. read more

I'm a first time customer and was craving pad thai real hard. I got an order for pickup because I was in the area picking up a friend from OU and figured I'd check out another Thai place. I was very disappointed, especially considering the good reviews. Spring roll filling was mushy and bland, thai dumplings are overpriced for the tiny portion and seemed to be just heated up from generic frozen, pad thai (and this is no exaggeration) is the worst that I've had here in Oklahoma. It seemed like it was old or had been sitting there. It was was burned, dry and underseasoned. But the chicken curry was okay, even though I ordered pork, NOT chicken and I ordered mild, not super spicy. Maybe I caught them at a bad time or on a bad day but I would definitely not come back here again. read more
