I love Thai food and Thai Cuisine has always been a favorite of mine. My favorite dish is the Tropical Curry. The atmosphere is as genuine as you can get in Spring Hill, it used to offer sunken tables with pillow seating, the kids loved that and we miss it. This is one of my favorite restaurants. It's sad for me that the reviews on this place could not have been more wrong because I trusted them and ended up with a dismal dinner. This place is barely edible. I ordered chicken pad thai and it was pretty much paprika and noodles with very dry chicken. It was bland and unimaginative. If this was my first experience with Thai food, I would never try it again. Luckily, I have had amazing thai at other restaurants before and know that this isn't what it should taste like. We decide to try this restaurant. I will say the food is ok but not exceptional. Best part of the meal was the chicken sate appetizer which was delicious excellent. They add a flair of 'Mom and Pop" to everything. I thought my taste buds were up to the 'Thai Hot' and they very politely schooled me to go for slightly less spicy, which I truly appreciated. The food is absolutely fantastic, staff are very friendly and décor is nice and clean. We have been dining here since we moved here 2006. Appetizers we love are the Thai spring rolls with peanut dipping sauce and egg rolls with swet Thai chili sauce. The Duck Panang is my favorite. Duck Siam is my wife's favorite. Other excellent dishes are the Green Curry Duck and the very interesting Tropical Duck. Kids love the Pineapple Fried Rice w Shrimp, Pad Thai and Chicken Panang. The only place to get Thai food in Hernando county that I've found. The owner, chef, takes great pride in the freshness of her ingredients and preparation and it shows. The ambience is wonderful and relaxed with courteous and friendly wait staff. Everything I have ever ordered there is authentic Thai with fresh herbs and vegetables. The summer rolls are great ... she always includes Thai basil which really makes a Thai summer roll. The papaya salad and beef salad are always excellent, as are the curries and other entrees. A roach, swimming around. The server brought a new pot (no apology) and that was all. No taking the tea off the bill, no acknowledgement of what happened, nothing. This little Thai place that is tucked away in a strip mall and flanked between a Dollar Tree and a defunct Internet cafe is a go-to must! I moved here from South Florida thinking that Spring Hill couldn't offer anything great, especially Thai food. Wrong! The massaman curry (the one with the peanuts and potatoes in the burgundy/yellow colored sauce) is one of the best I ever had. The last time I came here, it was bustling with customers so it was probably one of their busiest nights and probably they may have rushed it a bit and wasn't so great. However, when it is slow, they take their time and really put out great dishes. My fiance has been coming to this place for years and the servers donned in traditional Thai garb always greet him with a smile and never forget his Tom Yum Soup (which is equally yummy, despite not liking Tom Yum soup). If for whatever reason you are in Spring Hill and are in the mood for some Thai, try this place. read more

We were visiting from out of state and was excited to find this on yelp. After reading all the reviews, we couldn't wait to check it out. We went there on Monday only to find out they were close. We decided to come back on Tuesday. We ordered some padthai, fried rice (for the kids), satay, stuffed chicken wing, tempura chicken, fried eggplant and Panang curry. We were so disappointed, the padthai was too sweet and had too much liquid (def. American style padthai) the chicken fried rice lacked flavor, the chicken tempura appetizer was just slicked chicken lightly dipped in flour and fried. Looked liked something you would try to cook at home (so plain). The fried eggplant was $7 and it was tiny and just basically fried with tempura batter no seasoning or anything. I love eggplant and I can make better fried eggplant. Really simple and plain. stuffed chicken wings and satay was only thing that was decent. The curry was decent too. We eat a lot of Thai food and we were just quite disappointed with the food here. The service was not too friendly either. read more

My boyfriend and I stopped by for lunch after kayaking nearby on a Thursday. First off, from the outside, the restaurant is in a older looking strip mall and doesn't really grab your attention. But, inside is a nice, quiet, Thai infused dining area. The service was great, the food was excellent. We ordered chicken pad Thai, lemongrass hot n sour soup, curry puffs, and spring rolls. Everything was delicious. We also got Thai tea and Thai coffee, both of which were perfect, not too sweet like I've had at a lot of other Thai restaurants. Dee came over and greeted us even though she wasn't our server. I don't know how, but she remembers us from when we would come in to dine or order takeout when we lived in the area before moving to NC. It was my first time. Have eaten Thai in various places places in the US, and was quite disappointing. The food lacked flavor, with poor consistency, for example the watered down curry dish for starters. They could not accommodate for our preference of flavors, "because the sauce is already made", is not good customer service. The waitress was very courteous and kind. Went with my husband on Saturday night. Food tasted extremely good and fresh. Two starters, two mains, a dessert to share with four drinks (beer and wine) came in at under $60. We thought this was great value considering the quality of the food. The restaurant is very nicely decorated inside. My husband was worried about Thai food...but this restaurant has forced him to re-evaluate his opinion. Having a sensitive tummmy, he asked the owner's advice on what to order and she steered him to the ginger chicken with vegetables. It was scrumptious ...we started with crispy egg rolls, ..very light and served with sweet peanut sauce. I had the tofu with vegetables in Thai sweet basil sauce...perfect blend of ingredients. The coconut soup with tofu, lemon, cilantro, and scallions was different and easy on the taste buds. This resturant has a lovely decor, is clean, and the food presentation shows attention to details..with the hand carved flower carrots and fresh leaf of kale on the plate.
