This little gem is on the Station Road parade of shops on the way to the town centre in Solihull. There aren't too many dedicated Thai restaurants around, so a colleague and I thought it would make a change for lunch as we've eaten at most of the other restaurants in the town several times.
We chose from the lunch menu which has a selection of starters, and various Thai curries, or Pad Thai with a choice of chicken or seafood, and the prices are reasonable.
I chose the tempura vegetables to start, and a chicken Pad Thai for the main. While the starter was tasty, it wasn't what I would expect from tempura, and the batter was a bit like chicken nugget batter, rather than the light crisp batter you'd get in most Oriental restaurants. The main however was delicious, and quite spicy too.
Value for money isn't amazing (on the lunch menu at least) and works out about £5 more for two people compared to the Jade Wok Chinese restaurant next door, but it does make a pleasant change if you're looking for something a little different. read more
