In fact, the first visit by the PT NURSE just might have led in saving my life! She routinely checked blood pressure, and discovered it was precipitously low. With compassion, they make all…read moreconcerted effort to ensure that not only are your precious loved ones inside their care are well treated and attended to, but also the hurting members of the patient's family and friends are treated with grace and patience as well. There is a beautiful young lady with the voice of an angel who comes into your suite (with permisision) to play her guitar and sing the most glorious hymns to usher your loved one into a state of bliss and calm. There is also a lovely gentleman who also plays as well. The people and volunteers offer their gifts and talents as a service of kindness to everyone no matter what their religious beliefs are neither their race, color, or ethnicity. I would encourage everyone who can afford to make a donation of financial support do so on behalf of Hospice Savannah because they provide so many free extensions of service. For example, they have a lovely snack cart filled with treats and drinks to help you stay as long as your belly will allow you. They also have a paid machine too, but how wonderful to consider those free options. They also provide meals to those members who stay at the facility with their loved one. I know that your financial support would be extremely beneficial to carry out this practice. There is an in house social worker who provides support to everyone. The rooms are large and there is plenty of space to house a larger group. There is an outdoor patio that offers a large table with an umbrella and small green space to provide a comfortable spot to temporarily switch focus during such a hard time. Unfortunately death is a part of life and a path that is certain; however Hospice Savannah makes this passage, beautiful.

She helped us make our mother comfortable and talked us through every step with patience and compassion. It was hard to say goodbye but with Hospice Savannah on board she received dignified care.
