As I am being courteous to be on time for my 10am appt, I get a call at 9:26. Only to be canceled, how rude and inconsiderate!!!! Does CryoUSA think gasoline grows on trees! When I scheduled my appointment I informed them that I had purchased thru Groupon, (I will share a picture how the Groupon fine print states: ...not valid for customers active in the last 12 months", which I have not been. When I was a customer over 12 months ago the service was very mediocre. I purchased the BOA compression massage, they basically zip you up into some snow pants and you're laying on a massage cot in an open area where everybody walking in and out of there can see you. There's no privacy there's only one person handling the desk so if she's busy helping someone else you have to unzip yourself or lay there and call out to them, which is what I had to do several times. No one came and checked on me during those visits so it's not like they're giving excellent customer service I'm not sure what they really pride themselves on other than they have the machine customers wanna use. Either way super frustrating for me as a paying customer. I had to turn around and come home, reach out to Groupon and request a refund. First off the dude at the front desk says we can't use them cause it's expired.... then also says they have no way to redeem the groupon value... I asked why they sell the offer to groupon if they have no way to redeem it? After going into the back to ask a supervisor he came back out and said he's not able to accept it. At that point I asked to see their manager. I was then told that he wasn't there and we had to come back the next morning. I demanded to talk to whoever just told him we couldn't use it? Out walks balding dude in plaid shorts, obey tee shirt and flip flops(so insanely unhygienic in an urgent care) and says he can't redeem it. Again I showed him the clause in the groupon print out stating the value paid for the Groupon NEVER EXPIRES. He reads it, and with derpy, grumpy look on his face says ok and then starts to tell us about the dangers of cryotherapy and we could get chill burn, almost as if to try and dissuade us from doing the cryotherapy? At one point asked me if I knew it was going to be very cold, that's when I blurted out " yea I know it gets -200 Fahrenheit" cause I do my research. In a grump ass mood he walks away after ok'ing it. The front staff at this urgent care, which you have to go through, was completely incompetent. Chill cryotherapy should move out of that urgent care building because being associated with them is going to hurt their business. The rooms have comfortable chairs, relaxing dim lighting, and TVs. In regards to treatment there are several different sizes of applicators for your individual needs. The technicians take the time to place the applicators in the best position for the best "grab" and results. Pain wise, the treatment is non invasive and doesn't cause much discomfort. I do 80%. Recovery is fast, slight soreness in the area. When massaging the area, it feels slightly bruised for 2-4 days. However there is no discomfort throughout the day or visual bruising. Appointment booking is easy, you can do it online, they text you reminders a week before, a day before, and a few hours before. Parking is accessible as well. Result: I have done two treatments on my flanks (two areas) or "love handles." I am already thin, however the area has always been stubborn for me. I was quite happy with the results after the first session, and even happier with the second session. However, I have had one treatment of cool sculpting in the past, several years ago on the same area. The process was very painful, it hurt for days after with serious bruising. It negatively effected my ability to complete tasks at work, and the bruising was embarrassing. In addition, one treatment of 4 areas of cool sculpting cost my 4,000 compared to 200 an area with cryo. There is plenty of research available on both treatments, I reviewed studies and decided on cryo. However, Everyone is different, but I highly suggest trying flip your look first. It is a much more affordable price, painless, and easy.
