I've been a longtime client of The Honeycomb Cottage and wanted to share some feedback about my…read morerecent experiences. When the spa first opened, I was thrilled to have local alternative to driving into Atlanta. After living in McDonough for 45 years, The Honeycomb Cottage quickly became one of my favorite spots. Even after moving, I continued to visit and maintained a membership for over a year and a half. I eventually paused my membership because I had accumulated several unused credits, planning to use those up before restarting. Unfortunately, a series of frustrating experiences has made me decide not to return at all: * I once arrived for a facial and waited over 30 minutes past my appointment time. I later overheard staff discussing that the aesthetician hadn't shown up and couldn't be reached. Another team member eventually worked me in. * On another visit, my niece and I scheduled facials together. Once again, one of the aestheticians didn't show up, causing delays and confusion. * At another visit, my massage appointment was canceled shortly before my scheduled time due to the therapist having car trouble. While I understand that things happen, I was rescheduled for the following day--only to arrive and find that I wasn't on the schedule. Thankfully, a therapist happened to still be there and kindly stayed to do the massage, even though he was about to leave. * I also once scheduled a HydraFacial, only to learn upon arrival that the machine was broken. I wasn't notified in advance, which was frustrating since the spa enforces a 24-hour cancellation policy but didn't extend the same courtesy to me. This seems to be a common problem and the appointment should have never been scheduled due to it being broken. * When trying to call to make an appointment you have to call several times before getting someone to answer the phone and help. I also tried reaching out to the business about these concerns. It took several weeks of follow-up calls before I finally received a response. They seemed to not really care and make excuses for the actions of the spa taking no blame or ownership of the actions. After they finally got back to me, I was told they would give me a free service, but when I arrived, they had no record of it. Fortunately, I had the email where I was told this. I did use the credit but this was not something that magically makes their actions ok. I hope the spa will improve the client experience going forward. I loved The Honeycomb Cottage in its earlier days and would love to see it return to that standard of reliability and care. Unfortunately, based on my recent experiences, it feels as though the staff and management don't prioritize communication or accountability the way they once did.

Not me!). Y'all...I was very pleased with Tracy's work! She was super sweet! We talked through a few things, I showed her an inspo pic and she EXECUTED! I actually like the fact that you have to have a mask or buy one. And that you have to wear shoe coverings, and you need to wash your hands before or at least use hand sanitizer before I'm laying down. The chair beds are super comfy. And so are there blankets and pillows. I've been to other places to get my lashes done And pink caviar is still the best. The technicians listen to my request. And my lashes always look exactly the way I want them to.

As soon as you arrive you see the beautiful signage then you walk in to warm colors, calm sounds, and gentle fragrance. Everything is very subtle, calm, and inviting. I immediately booked for a new set of lashes to be done before I take the stage at the end of the month and I'm looking forward to booking for a day of pampering with a facial and massage as soon as I can coordinate it! Oh, and did I mention how convenient it is?? Right down I-75, hop off at Exit 188 and you could just about walk the rest of the way it's so close, BUT, once inside there's no traffic noise at all! I'm so proud of Rachel Elizabeth Burdette, the proprietor for selecting such a great location and making it a place you'll want to visit again and again!

My stylist Bre was professional and industrious. Her prices were more competitive than the African braiding salons I've been going to, and her work was much better! It felt so good to receive the full salon treatment- wash& blow dry, quiet environment, quick pace and good music and tv. That's how hair salons should be! She went above and beyond what I expected. She even briefly put me underneath the dryer for the finishing touches of my braids and provided the trendy braid jewelry for my hair. I'll definitely be back for future care!

I went here for simple box braids. I went in on a Wednesday for a consultation and the young…read morelady(Gladys) was extremely helpful. She looked at my hair and the picture of the style that I wanted. She asked me about the length, size, etc. of my desired braid style. I paid my deposit for my appointment, don't get freaked out by this because it ensures that you'll be there for your appointment! I went back two days later for my appointment at 8:00 am. She washed my hair, conditioned it and put me under the dryer. Afterwards, she used the blow dryer to make sure that my hair was dry and to straighten it out a tad before braiding. NOTE*SHE DOESN'T BRAID IT TOO TIGHT !!! She had the help of another young lady and that helped speed up the process. The process took about 4 hours and 25 minutes. I spent around $100 and I am extremely satisfied with my hair. I will be going back to Brown Sugar for my next style! Thanks, Gladys! I arrived at my appointment 30-40 min late due to really bad traffic. She could have cancelled my appointment, but she didn't. On top of that, when I booked my appointment, I thought what I selected included and wash and blow dry (which it did not), she explained to me that when I booked my online appointment, I selected "box braids" which are not the same at knotless (which is what I wanted). I immediately told her I did not know the difference (as this was my first time getting braids). She explained to me the difference, and that the knotless braids required more prep work, and take longer. I felt so bad! She spent about 30 min separating hair, and then another 30 washing and blow drying. She was the sweetest young lady. The fact that she was willing to accommodate my mistake really touched my heart. And on top of that, she did an AMAZING job. I originally tried to get an appointment at Fatima Braiding Studio, but their customer service was so horrible, I had to look elsewhere, and I came across Bintu Parlor, and I will not only be returning, but I will be recommending her to everyone I know. I was afraid my head would hurt during and after the braiding process, but It was actually so relaxing I was falling asleep.
