We're had a really great time at Textile Lanes for an impromptu family outing. Prompt service to help for stuck lanes and plenty of space. I saw lots of people come in just to eat. We didn't eat, but will have to give it a try. Courteous staff at the desk with quick check in and check out. Everyone was nice except for the man practicing next to us. Honestly, what a hidden gem! Simple, no frills bowling alley with a decent kitchen. I'm sad I've lived near here for almost four years before checking it out. It was a rainy Saturday and we had family in town- with kids of mixed ages - so what do you do? Bowl! Textile lanes is kind of a step back in time, but in a good way, still the "old fashioned" (I'm a late 80's kid, so the bowling computers I remember) set up. Everyone there was super friendly and we were able to get a lane right away. We also go snacks at the grill - their fried pickles could compete with any establishment - along with the their green beans. My niece got the soup, and I'm pretty sure it was a whole can of Campbells chicken noodle, but what's not to love about the nostalgia of that. We will certainly be back! read more

We love Textile Lanes! It is a great way to have fun without breaking the bank. Their food is great, too! Staff is very friendly.

Great no frills bowling alley. Went with a group of 6 at 730 on a Saturday and was able to get a lane without having to wait. Only downside I can say was they closed at 9pm that evening and shut down some of the arcade/billiards around 8:30 which seems incredibly early for a bowling alley on a Saturday. I can't complain about anything else. Staff was friendly and the alley was clean. Will be back! read more

Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon to get a couple of games in. There were a few parties in the restaurant and maybe a third of the lanes were in use. Textile is a small alley - only 16 lanes. Customer service at the reataurant and the front desk was solid. Prices were reasonable. Restrooms were clean and stocked. Lanes were good, pins did not fall like I was hoping. I will come back, but not on a weeknight because it's all league bowling weeknights at Textile. read more

I told the old guy at the front desk who is apparently the manager, That the ball return was damaging my ball, leaving scratches and cracks and that I didn't have a problem with it I just wanted him to fix the issue and switch me to another lane. He proceeded to be rude and tell me well that's not my problem, and that if I wanted to have a brand new ball that I needed to put my bowling balls on a shelf and stop bowling. The way that he took care of the situation was very poor and he should think about retiring within the next week. Do better and show respect to the people who are still keeping your business alive because you won't be for long. read more

Great little place to pick up a couple lines at a reasonable price. Fun little alley west of everywhere but easy to find and right off the interstate! Cute little snack shop up front looks like it serves standard alley fare and justifies the druggist on the other side. Didn't see a menu-board but I wasn't looking real hard either, needed a cool drink of water more than anything else so I went and got my sippy cup out of the little white truck. Frames are a bargain at $0.40 each in packs of ten but does not include shoes. The sixteen lanes are in good condition and well maintained; pins look clean and current; hand dryers on the ball return rack is a nice touch but the returns themselves are hidden. Each lane seats four and has a small table for snacks and beverages. Aside from entering your bowling name and actually starting the game the score keeping is automatic. Overhead TVs have basic graphics for score keeping and briefly show the preferred "shot" to pick up your garbage. I'm not sure if print outs are available as keepsakes but I'd be willing to drop fifty cents to have a PDF of the day's events sent to my phone. It's the 21st century, surely this can be done!! read more

After living in the area for about 8 months, I finally looked into this place. We never even knew it was a bowling alley!! I thought it was a tile store or something that I wouldn't care about. Reasonably priced at $2.50/game before 6pm and $3.50 after 6. The big bummer about this place for those of us accustomed to a pitcher of beer while you bowl was no bar! I let that go because it has a nice little diner/grill connected to it. Don't come here expecting fancy new scoring machines or ball returns. But it has an authentic, classic bowling alley feel with an arcade and pool tables that sort of resemble something at a Boys and Girls club. Solid bowling alley with restaurant attached. Not too many lanes so call ahead if you are looking for some open bowling. This probably is the cheapest open bowling I have seen in a long time, and will be my choice to get some practice in without spending a ridiculous amount of money on bowling. From first glance, and not being from Belmont, the pharmacy/grill/bowling alley combo in one building appears somewhat odd. And I suppose it is. We met up with a group for a couple of games and some snacks from the grill and the atmosphere is family friendly, clean and although somewhat dated, still a fun place to hang out. There is a pool area adjacent to the lanes and while we were there on a Wednesday night, there was a decent crowd milling about. The grill fare is what you'd expect - chicken tenders/onion rings and fries were on our platter of choice...nothing special, but definitely doable for snacks while you bowl. Having not bowled in about 10 years, I survived the games and won't soon be asked to join any bowling leagues, but would go back if invited and would recommend for a local or someone like me just there for the night. read more

We love this place! This is my family's go to bowling place. They have specials mon- fri before 4. Lunch and bowl or 2 hrs all you can bowl and shoe rental $10.00. We order fries and ranch Everytime we go. No matter if we have ate or not. They are just too good to resist. I am kinda obsessed with them. They have updated the lanes and it is very clean. I don't enjoy writing bad reviews, but I love bowling & it'd be nice not to have to travel to Gastonia or Charlotte to bowl. There must be a reason this place is always empty... even with its dirt cheap prices. With that said, I went once a few years ago and vowed never to go back. The floors are so oily, I slipped or fell on my walk up every single time!!! I wasn't able to find the 6 lb. ball within the already limited selection. Food is limited and all fried, that's not a good thing either. I couldn't wait to leave, I remember thinking: this place is trying to kill me. Good Morning So my 14 year old daughter & I are in town visiting my family here from New York & we're a Puerto Rican , Black & Arab mixed family , so I go in & ask to bowl for 2 & 2 size 7 shoes & how much do I owe with 2 games added to that & the clerk says you can pay at the end & I say alright cool & there were maybe 1/2 the lanes open so the clerk looks around & says lane 5 , so we set up & on the first bowl from my daughter the lane freezes so I go tell the clerk & he comes & show us a button to press if that happens again but he acted like we did something wrong giving us attitude like it was our fault so we continue to bowl & by the 3rd frame I realized that our lane was a damaged lane all bumpy & peeling up & very noticeable so I asked the people to the left of me & the right of me if they see what I see & they say yes your lane is damaged ( white folks ) so I go up to the counter & inform the clerk what I noticed & asked him or anyone working to please come see what I'm talking bout & to change our lane please & this guy looks me & my daughter in our eyes while laughing & said you can get out & I said really you can't come look at it & he said no get out & the owner is standing there the whole time looking on saying nothing at all , so I say to him can we just get a different lane we just want to have a good time & " he says I play on that lane every Tuesday on game day & I have no issues " so I called him a liar & that's when I realized we were being targeted because of the color of our skin because all of the light ( white ) skinned people lanes weren't damaged at all & I said something bout it & again he said " I said if you don't like it you can get out " & the people who were bowling to the right of me came up to the counter with me & said let them bowl with us which was very thoughtful & they still said we can leave & whoever you are thanx , so I said in a few words to let them know that they were being racist towards my daughter & I in a very angry tone & on my way out the door I was letting all colored folks entering or waiting to bowl that lane 5 is for them & it's damaged so don't take that lane & here's a picture of that lane please look at it from beginning to the middle where it's damaged & very visible , so if you have some color to your skin watch out for lane 5 & any other damaged lanes & THE RACIST WHITE STAFF WHOS PROBABLY STRAPPED WAITING FOR A NIGGA TO ACT UP & I GIVE THIS ESTABLISHMENT A -5 STARS , this my first ever review that I posted in my life & I deleted the picture by accident FML But that's my story bout that place , RACIST read more

I only give it 2 stars because of the wait staff!! The food gets 4-5 stars!! The burgers, fries, homemade Ranch and sweet tea are GREAT. The Country Style Steak on Wednesdays is also very good but the waitresses at night and on the weekends are terrible! They are not attentive to their customers at all. You have to flag them down and ask for drink refills, togo boxes or anything else you need that is if they will ever look at you so you can get their attention. It is ridiculous!! They need to find new wait staff who are attentive and friendly!! They do not act like they care about the customers or of the get a good tip!! Again....food is really good but night and weekend wait staff are just plain HORRIBLE!! read more

If I was able to give this place a -5 stars I would. They have the worse service in the grill area. The younger guys behind the counter at for the bowling alley are the most rude and disrespectful people I've run into. I would NOT recommend this establishment either. When you seat yourself at the grill they have 5 or more people that could wait on you, but they will all look at you and not come even ask for your drink order. Once you get your food you might as well forget seeing them again till you go pay. read more

Not a bad little bowling alley. They have probably around 15 lanes but the place has never been crowded when we're there (which I enjoy). The lanes are in good condition. While the scoring system is old, the monitors hanging from the ceiling that display the score are all new. The games were reasonably priced, especially after checking into prices at the epicenter bowling alley which were outrageous. There's a cute little diner in the bowling alley that I always want to try but we've never ordered food here. There's nothing too special about this place but if you're looking to bowl in the Belmont area this is the place I'd recommend (unless you want to get your drink on in which case you'll need to go somewhere else, no alcohol sold here). read more

I've just discovered bowling, so dear husband has been kind enough to take me to all of the bowling lanes in the area. This is a small "jewel" in a group of conglomerates! Nothing fancy, but very clean. A nice little diner. Reasonable rates. Not as high-tech as the bigger places, but the lanes were well cared for, and the machines didn't have a glitch when we played our three games. I will be going back because I felt comfortable there. The staff were very nice. I may actually learn to bowl, and this is where I will probably hang my hat on a regular basis. read more
