This airport is on the smaller side. Only Southwest and Delta fly through here, but being on the smaller end, made it easy to get to your gate and to get to baggage claim quickly. But don't let the smaller size make you think it doesn't have much. My husband was particularly impressed with the Whataburger kiosk right past security. You can order there and then pick up when you get to Whataburger further down the concourse. DAL also had some live entertainment as well as ample other food and gift options. Our flights were relatively on time; security went fast; and the bathrooms were also clean. It checks all the boxes!

The only benefit for my trip was slightly better flight times with American compared to Southwest which was a lot cheaper. But both of my flights leaving DFW this weekend were delayed due to mechanical issues with the planes. So I ended up paying more and arrived late. I missed an appointment in my destination city due to the first delay. On the first flight a rowdy group of college kids were bothering everyone but they would not quiet down even after being asked by other passengers. The flight crew didn't care and didn't do anyhting so these self-absorbed kids were treating the plane like their own private party bus. It's one thing to be inconsiderate of other people around you, but it's entirely different when you choose to be an asshole. The gate for my second flight abruptly changed and I was not notified by the airline. I was waiting at what I thought was my gate and only noticed the change when a different flight was suddenly assigned to this gate. I had to go from B terminal to C terminal in a hurry because my flight started boarding in a few minutes. When I got to the new gate the agent did not care about line procedure so he was like "ok everyone in groups 1-3 line up" and then it was a mad scramble with people complaining that people in group 3 were getting ahead of people in group 1 and other people not caring because the agent said everyone in the three groups could line up. Then the agent did the same thing for groups 4-6. Then we just sat at the gate for another half hour with no explanation before finally taking off.

Dallas-Love is the headquarters of Southwest, and they occupy all the gates between 1 - 20 with the exception of 11 and 13. Whether coming in or flying out, I've never had issues with flights, staff, scheduling, etc...flights are always uneventful, on-time for the most part and get me where I need to be without issue. Overall, definitely a SW loyalist at this point, and not mad about it!

So I emailed them for a refund and the response i got was since I was able to fly out they are not able to refund me. Not being able to fly out I had to miss work. I am not happy with Delta.

Addison is one of the busiest private airports in the country, and the 2nd busiest single runway airport in the country (Behind San Diego International) This means that you get to see a wide variety of aircraft taking off and landing all day. From Cessna 172s giving flight lessons, to big Lear Jets and GulfStream IVs whisking executives away. On the weekends you'll even see some warbirds from Jim Cavanaugh's collection taking off. Addison Airport has Cavanaugh's Museum, countless flight schools, and even a company to fly christmas light flights over Dallas and other romantic flights and tours. For those who love planespotting, there are countless spots to post up and watch planes. I won't give away my own personal favorite spot, you need to find your own! But Dooley Ln, where the Control Tower stands has some great views of the airport. And on weekends a lot of plane spotters like to park for amazing views of approaching and departing aircraft in the office park parking lot on Westgrove Rd. at the end of Runway 15 (The north side of the airport) Happy Plane Hunting.
