This company is awesome!! The owner Eric is straight up the bomb! Down to earth exceptionally nice guy. I have used his service twice since purchasing my house in April. He shows up when he says he will and even trimmed another tree we hadn't discuss without charging me, and his prices are fair. I called him about 6 weeks ago at 4pm because my Cat was about 40 feet up our tree and had been there over 24 hours. It was cold and wet out and he agreed to come when he was finished with the job he was on. Fortunately for the Cat my neighbor had a ladder tall enough and he rescued her. Eric, the owner, is quick to respond, has very fair prices, and always shows up when he says he will. I contacted Texas Tree Trimming a few weeks ago for tree trimming and tree removal in my backyard and got a fair estimate. When I decided to move forward with the job I contacted Eric for scheduling and was told I would be placed on the schedule, likely for later the following week. The next day I inquired about the scheduling I was told "maybe today". I explained that I would not be able to do it that day as I need to be home from work and get cash out, and was then told again later the following week. I was told he may be out of town and hoped to be back Wednesday so I continued to wait on a scheduled date. Fast forward to the next week. Wednesday evening I still hadn't heard anything and inquired again and was told "tomorrow afternoon". Luckily I was able to be home from work and agreed. Fast forward to the day of the afternoon job, I inquired about an ETA at 2:15PM as I hadn't heard anything. At 5:04PM I finally received a response that they were finishing up a job 30 mins away and would head towards me. I advised it was too late to start the job then received a call at 5:30 explaining that it's still afternoon, and they want to cut and trim tonight and then come by in the morning to haul. I explained again I was not comfortable with the job starting so late, after the planned time, with no communication, and that I did not want it done in two separate days especially when I could not be there in the morning. I received an attitude, and was told their job went long and they had other priorities this weekend, that they will work just fine without my "supervision" and that i might need to go with someone else. I later received a text explanation explaining in a more pleasant way what exactly happened that they accepted a change in the job earlier in the day which caused it to go longer. This company would probably still have my business if there had been some communication earlier in the day. 2 stars for extremely poor communication and lack of respect for the schedules of the patron. read more

I always use Texas tree trimming for all my tree work . They do a great job they have a fair price they're easy to work with and they're very respectable . I've used them for preventive maintenance and for a limb that came on my yard and on another tree as well that was suspended the day before a crawfish boil we were having . Eric came by and we discussed which shrubs and trees to remove and we agreed on 30 of them. His crew came in and removed about 15 of them and left the rest. He said he would be back to grind the stumps in a couple of weeks because he only grinds the stumps one day a month. He came by last Saturday to grind the stumps with a stump grinder that was way to massive for the small shrub stumps that had to be ground. He left his worker Hector to do the job and Eric left. Hector ground down the stumps in the backyard and at the same time shot ample chucks of dirt and roots into the pool. In grinding down a root next to the garage, he tore up the wiring to the irrigation system pulling it right through the garage wall. He tore up a drainage cap and filled the drain with dirt. Eric arrived shortly after and helped Hector finish the grinding and left after my wife paid them. When I saw that they left without repairing the damage, I called. Eric and asked when he would be back to finish the job and repair the wiring that Hector tore up. He said that he was not responsible for the damages and would not fix it. I do not recommend anyone who damages something and doesn't repair it. I talked with another tree trimmer and he agreed. He also will finish the other half of the job that Eric didn't do in the first place at 25% of what Eric charged. New Update November 22, 2017 Yesterday I came home and found a handwritten note from Eric Anthony on my doorstep. The note asked me to take down this Yelp review or add his fact that he trimmed our 3 oak trees at no extra charge. The problem with his request is upon reviewing his invoice of August 3rd, he DID charge for the oak tree trimming which, by the way, is not recommended to be done in the summer months. Amazing job!! Eric came out and trimmed back 7 pecan trees from the house and removed 4 pine/hackberry trees on VERY short notice. I had called around and nobody else could beat his price or quickness. Ya see, the whole project was for my fiancee who had been wanting the trees cut down for a vegetable garden. So, as a surprise to her before we got married and she moved in with me, I chose Eric's company and was thoroughly impressed. Highly recommend! PS Make sure you ask about the turkey jerky. Very pleased with the quality of work and their pricing!!After calling three or four places to get a quote on having our large oak tree trimmed in our backyard, these guys were the most reasonable and prompt. When we got home we inspected the work and they really went the extra mile! We have a deck with a roof under the tree and they cleaned off the roof and the gutters on our roof on our home where the oak tree is too! They even cut up and left some pieces of wood good to burn in our fire pit on our little wood storage area in the backyard. Would highly recommend them to anyone! read more

I am a 68 year old widow who lives on a very fixed income. I recently had a very large limb break off from my ash tree and block the sidewalk beside my home. I called several different tree companies for quotes. Some didn't even bother to call back - others were way too expensive. Texas Tree Trimming did an outstanding job! We had onsite assessments and some over the phone with photos via text from 3 companies and 4 more were expected over the next few days. After meeting with Texas Tree Trimming, I gladly called to cancel the 4 other companies. We felt so comfortable with the Evan and Rick of Texas Tree Trimming, we were no longer interested in receiving additional estimates. They met all criteria with being insured and licensed, have an "A" rating on Angie's List, a 4.5 Star rating on Yelp and a 4.8 Star rating on Google. They not only had great pricing for the amount of work, but they also had advice to help us make better-informed decisions on what work was actually needed, the best way to remove a dead bottle bush with roots growing over and under cable and phone lines; and raising and improving the overall look of the canopy on two crepe myrtles that are over 25 ft tall that had damaged our roof during Hurricane Harvey due to wind damage. I originally spoke with Eric, the owner, and he arranged for the onsite visit the same day. Their professionalism and thoroughness in this process were the major factors in selecting Texas Tree Trimming. A secondary factor was cost. Although their price was slightly lower or within the same ballpark, their suggestion that they "can start right now" was impressive. They had been working all day removing trees on a large work site and we were told they could stop by on their home to give the estimate. Their work was neat, efficient, professional and better yet, they hauled off all the debris. Rick and Evan are a hard-working crew that consulted frequently and kept us advised on what was being done and even some additional work that was recommended and completed within the original estimate. Their goal was complete satisfaction and I have to say our expectations were exceeded. Hired these guys to work on two trees at my house. They gave me a quote for both that I agreed on, however by the end of the day they decided they were too tired to work on the second tree so they left and cancelled their quote on the second tree. Extremely unprofessional. The work they did with the one tree was ok, but they left a lot of debris. I would recommend going with another company next time. read more
