Jerry's team was originally tasked with trimming four oak trees, one of which hung over my neighbor's power lines. They were very careful working in our neighbor's yard and did a beautiful job cleaning up the trees- cutting a couple big branches above the power lines, trimming other branches and removing a lot of dead branches. The team sprayed the cuts while they were cutting. Later they went back and double-checked all the cuts (big limbs, small limbs, suckers) and sprayed anything they missed. They were also kind enough to stack some of the wood for my neighbor to use as firewood. I was impressed by their work, so I asked them about cutting down two other trees, both which required care as one was very tall and one grew over two fences. Jerry's team took down both trees quickly and carefully, without damaging any fences or houses. All in all, we had four oak trees cleaned up, an ash tree cleaned up, a cedar trimmed slightly and three trees taken down, all at a reasonable price. When all the work was done, they did a fantastic job cleaning up my neighbor's driveway, my driveway and my yard. I am very pleased with Texas Tree Service. They quickly & efficiently cut down a large, challenging tree while preserving my surrounding landscape. I had a 40-foot deodar cedar growing in my front yard close to and leaning toward the house. Deodar cedars are fast-growing trees that can reach 80 feet tall. They are native to the Himalayan regions. To Westerners, they look like pine trees. Deodar cedars have shallow roots that can rise during heavy rains. (And we were having a rainy spring.) When the deodar cedar's roots rise, a leaning tree leans more. When there's not enough soil to support the roots, or when there's a heavy wind, there is the danger of the tree falling. That tree would have done overwhelming damage to our home if it fell. I needed experts to cut this 40-foot tree without damaging the house, fence, and my heavily landscaped front yard. Texas Tree Service proved they were experts. They tidied up after themselves, and did not destroy a single one of my cherished plants or ceramic pots. They did a beautiful job. Here we are again but this time with an EMERGENT tree problem! Who knew living in a forest would be so challenging. We are VERY lucky we found Texas Tree Service and wanted to tell you about it. Two giant limbs crashed into our backyard yesterday in the middle of a Tstorm and besides being a big surprise was also a major inconvenience. Jason from TTS was here at noon, assessed the mess, gave a most reasonable quote - AGAIN - and the machinery and hard-working men were here by 1:00 and EVERYTHING was gone by 4:00. We had a large branch come down from one of our trees a week ago and decided to call a few tree service companies in town. Jerry at Texas Tree Service called me back the same day (the others did not). We set an appointment for him to drop by and provide an estimate. The tree was an mature Bradford Pear showing signs of further damage and breaks to come so we decided to remove it. The crew removed the tree with no problem despite there being an internet cable running through the branches. They cleaned up the area quickly. Later in the day, the stump grinder came out ant did his work. He also removed most of the grindings. I will certainly call Texas Tree Service for future work. read more

The owner arrived at the property to provide an estimate. Within minutes of arriving he was able to spot what specific parts of each tree and plant needed attention and why. On the day of service I arrived onsite after work had begun and the crew asked me if I was happy with the progress. They were very accommodating, making adjustments immediately if I wanted a little more trimmed, etc. The owner arrived moments later, and was quick to explain further details to the crew. Jerry & Kim Eddy came out the same day I contacted them for a free estimate. We had several large oak trees on the ranch in Rio Frio, Texas that needed severe trimming. Some of the trees are 100 - 200 years old and had al lot HUGE dead limbs. We had to go to Uvalde the day they came out to work. We did not get back until much later than we originally planned. We were completely shocked at all the work that had gotten done. Much more than we ever expected. We have several other old oaks that we hope to have worked on in the future. Approximately 1.5 years ago we moved to the Kerrville area on acreage. We knew the trees were in bad shape with lots of high big dead branches in large oaks, cedars that were mostly dead and dead standing oaks. To begin with, I called 3 other tree service companies. None of them could even get to come out to our property for over a week. Texas Tree Service called me back the first work day after I made my call. Texas Tree Service did an outstanding job on our 5 acre property outside of Kerrville. They cut down dead trees, removed dead branches in other trees, and pruned a heck of a lot of trees. Plus they hauled all the limbs away quickly and ground the stumps down. I'm writing this recommendation for the simple reason that Texas Tree Service did a great job bidding on, removing a very large roof-threatening live oak and cleaning up after. Jerry and his crew did an exceptional job removing a huge oak tree that was killed in the freeze earlier this year as well as trimming my two remaining oak trees and three crape myrtles. I hired Texas Tree Service to do a job and am totally pleased with Jerry Eddy and his crew. I had a very large tree struck by lightning and extensive damage done. Jerry came out and removed damage part of two separate trunks that were over 35 feet tall. He also took down another tree and did extensive trimming on 4 more trees. He was there in less than 2 days and his workers had the work completed and great cleanup in a half a day. I felt like his price was very reasonable. Requested a quote from Texas Tree Service to have a couple of trees in my front yard trimmed, via their website, on a Sunday evening. Was contacted first thing on Monday morning. Received the quote Monday afternoon and the work was done that evening! The crew was prompt, efficient and polite. They worked for well over 3 hours on my trees and they look great. Mr. Eddy came to my house to do the estimate on Friday afternoon. His prices were fair. His crew arrived the same afternoon and worked 2 1/2 hours. They returned the next morning and completed the whole job by noon. They trimmed about ten trees on my 1/2-acre property, and spread mulch around my hedges.
