UPDATE- it got SO much worse. We asked the older Mexican lady with long hair how returns work. I had her explain the entire process to me (keep tags on, 14 days and have to keep receipt) so we did exactly that. At 11:06 we bought the cloths, we went back in 11:20. They refused our return. The man helped us this time and said he doesn't know "why she lied" and it's exchange only. They refused to let us return it even though we had asked less then 30 minutes before. We also were thinking to do our exchange at other store bc this one was terrible and he told us we aren't allowed to. No other store will take our exchange it has to be the one you bought the items at. I will absolutely be calling corporate. Even if I don't get a refund they need to train their people better, why would she lie??! I will NEVER spend money at this company again. This is super clean and nice but they don't have dressing rooms. Also they watch you if you go to the bathroom (went before we even started shopping and didn't have any cloths and they watched us the entire time.) read more

I come to this Texas Thrift religiously - I drive out from round rock to come here. A couple months ago I got a new puppy and couldn't leave her at home, so I brought her with me to the thrift (she's 5 months old now and has all her vaccinations, so it's safe). Unfortunately my dog barked a few times and, I kid you not, about 10 employees gathered around to watch one of the workers tell me to leave because of my puppy. It's understandable to ask me to leave if she was barking a lot, but the demeanor they did it in was extremely humiliating especially considering the fact I drove so long to get over here and there's literally NOTHING anywhere posted that says no dogs allowed. Really stupid. Maybe post a sign or something so people don't come here and waste their time. read more

Wouldn't recommend this thrift to my worst enemy this is the crappiest thrift store along with the employees. I came here looking for some nice for my mother in the hospital she loves pigs found the perfect pig for her and because it didn't have a price tag on it. Offered to pay way more the the asking price and the manager took it into the back and said they are unwilling to sell it. Honestly crappy business performance and perspective if some one is willing to pay above asking price. Feel violated and victimized I was the only white girl in there and felt the hate from everyone. I walked into Texas thrift store and had to walk out. Was told they don't allow backpacks. I understand that rule. i told her that this was a backpack purse. It's a lot smaller and had all my personal things in it. I went there yesterday, I work not to far from the store. The prices were way to high. The store is packed with lots of old, really used items. The shoe area on the wall stunk . The shoes were old and dirty. The store is nasty. Someone needs to tell them if they lower their prices they'd actually sell more things! The staff is not friendly at all. I went to Texas Thrift to what I can find. And the minute I got inside, I was told that they didn't allow backpacks in the store. I told the clerk that I didn't have a car and I offered to leave the backpack at the register. The checkout clerk told me that they didn't allow bags at the register. So, I left. Rude individual. This place is a total joke. I attempted to purchase several items- I went to check out and you have to have exact change. What type of company does not have opening change for their store? The employees were to busy talking to each other and not o e even spoke until she ask me to remove the hangers and move my items closer to her! I was very disgustingly racially profiled while shopping here at Texas thrift. So I walk in and there's only one type of person in there I was the only black person shopping. I felt and caught the workers basically following my me. Walking halfway up the aisle I'm in then turn around and go the other way. Then when I'm trying to pay for my items I guide the lady my card she asks to see my ID as if I'm using a stolen card. I waited in that line for about 7 minutes and didn't see any of the other cashiers ask any of the Mexican customers for their ID. also had 2 of the exact same vase they had 2 different stickers but the exact same so I asked if she could fix that so I could get the correct discount she said "no it's just like that" In these times racism is no longer acceptable. It's disgusting to degrade someone and make them feel lesser than you because of the color of their skin. I hope that lady gets fired! read more

most employees very nice with smiles despite how busy and overwhelming it must be to work black friday but one older woman in pink shirt yellow lanyard was very rude and demeaning to employees in front of paying customers and was rude to my boyfriend when a lane opened she told us to move and she made a clicking noise with her mouth like we were animals and she was telling us to hurry up. another woman who was cashier was rude when an older customer asked if she was available and she snapped and said "no im going on my break" read more

I've been to this place a few times. However today was horrible experience I wanted to try out some cute outfits and went to the dressing rooms to try them on. I proceded to enter with the shopping cart. after a few minutes a staff from the store knock on the door and said i coulnt bring in the cart inside the dressing room. I advise her that i would be done soon. She called another employee to the dressing rooms. They were both waiting for me .! I felt very unconfortable and the worst part they made me feel like I was a criminal. I've never experince something like before and it feels horrible. No customer service at all and they did not know how to handle the situation . The thing here is that as customers we make a business prosper and this the way you are going to treat your customers? . They Start closing the store 10 minutes before closing time . They have their homeless looking employees harassing customers to stop shopping and go pay like literally walking up to customers super rude when the store isn't closed yet . I understand they want to go home early but that's not the customers fault . The Arabian employee at the counter is rude too with his tone of voice and attitude . I've been here so many times before and it's always been a good experience but I can tell it's being ran by different employees and it's just not a good store to shop at anymore read more

As a college student, this place is my go to! Haven't found much cuter clothes else where, must admit that they are pretty strict about fitting rooms and the fact that only 4 items are allowed which is understandable considering theft is very frequent. Always recommend! read more

I came by to do some shopping. This used to be my all time favorite thrift store. However, this visit may have changed my mind. I don't know if it's the side of town it's on or if the people that work here just don't have the skills of customer service. As I went to pay, there was a line of about 6 people deep, with only one cashier. She finally called another person to help. He was REALLY pleasant. After ringing up about two people he stopped to move carts and pickup coat hangers. At a snail's pace, while looking at the next person in line waiting to pay. No urgency what's so ever. I think his name was Jacob. I remember hearing the other cashier yell his name to inform him that she was going on break. The employees at this location really need a course in manners and customer service. read more

Only giving this shop 2 stars because found a sick official dart board with 9 official very sharp darts! Price was a bit high but couldn't pass that deal! Other than that selections are alright again, prices are too high on a lot of things. I wanted this shirt that had a hole in it but the price was $7 which I thought was too high being a no name brand. I might come back but I doubt it. read more
