Checkout is a nightmare - understaffed and with a genuine "I don't give a @#! how long you have to wait we're only staffing one checker" attitude.

I asked her what she meant by that it was clearly marked green for 1.99. She accused me of changing the price with a harsh tone. I replied asking if she meant that I changed it. She began to back pedal but kept the claim out that I had changed the price? I was very offended seeing I go there daily and buy lots of items. Overall horrible experience and will not be paying with DIANNA again. She was RUDE , OBNOXIOUS, and most of all UNPROFESSIONAL for basically calling me a thief. What bothers me the most is that I regularly pay with her and see her give DISCOUNTS to people with out the guy managers consent. What a rat.

My favorite thrift in the spot is the books. They are very reasonably priced and you can get quite a few or under a dollar, which is pretty impossible in a lot of other thrift stores. The staff here is friendly and helpful. They have a little boutique section in the front where they keep the newer clothing with tags, and more designer wise items. I do think some of their prices are on the higher end, which is disappointing when you're trying to get some affordable items. Clothing, however, it's usually reduced, so along with the books a good purchase. Not so much their purses, and some of their other accessories. It's worth a visit to search through their treasures and find some good thrifts. This is not my favorite thrift store, but it will be some of the goodwill prices in a pinch.

Most everything they sold was in some way or another a home improvement item, be it actual building materials or items to add to your decor. While the inventory was quite varied and expansive, I felt the prices were a bit high for the offerings. Sure, some were priced just right, but I didn't find anything that was such a steal I just had to buy it. I suppose I can add this place to my list of thrift stores, especially if I want a used door, window, or cabinetry item, but I'll search elsewhere for other items.

I am a regular thrift store hound. I love shopping for boutique clothes and bargains. I understand…read morethat the people who work at these places do not get paid very much, and I don't expect a whole lot, but common courtesy would really be appreciated. I was standing in line at the Goodwill on Potranco Rd. There were three registers open. I guess it was break time for one of the ladies because when she finished waiting on a customer, she just left. I had started to move forward but realized that she was leaving and so I backed up. That was no acknowledgment saying, "so-and-so will be with you in just a moment." There was no one behind me so I backed up behind the pole that showed where you're supposed to stand. 10 minutes later I'm still in line. One of the ladies finished with her customer, I asked, "Should I come forward?" She ignored me. I started to move forward a little bit and then realized she was still cleaning her counter space. At this time there were five people in line with their families behind me. I could not back up so I stood slightly in front of the pole, but still at least 6 ft away from both of the registers. Idela, who was working the other register looks up at me and says, "You need to back up. We expect people to stand behind the pole." I turn around and look at the line behind me, and she says that they all need to back up. Well, I don't see how I'm going to make this happen so I just stand there. Nobody says we'll be with you in a minute. No smiles. No courtesy. Another employee comes back from her break, is standing behind the register and playing with a scarf twirling around and making jokes. Then she opens her register. Finally, they call me forward and the lady at the first register called somebody else forward because she is finally finished putting away hangers. Look, somebody needs to train these employees in just common courtesy with their customers. An, "I'll be with you in a moment," or a smile, "sorry we're taking so long." Just anything to indicate that they understand that we're waiting, that they have noticed us and will get to us as soon as they can. A little courtesy goes a long long way.

Just when you think they wouldn't have a particular item there it appears. I was hopping around with my boot and crunch when I see a Knee Rover in great condition for $13! It even had an extra cushion on it. It was exactly what I needed, so I can get around faster and some relief from the boot and crutch. It's a Goodwill, y'all! It is my local drop off spot where there never seems to be a super long…read moreline. The employees are ALWAYS friendly, helpful, and personable. I will go in every once in awhile to check out the glassware, always looking for the colored ticket of the week so I can get my 50% off the already low price. There are probably other Goodwills in town that have a higher end selection of furniture and clothing, but overall, if I just have a little shopping bug, am looking for nothing in particular, and just want to spend a few bucks, this is as good a place as any!
