I spoke with Coach Matt (one of the co-owners) about the children's program as I wanted to make sure it was a legitimate BJJ gym. Everything he said checked out and we took our daughter for the free trial period. The coaches there are amazing, they truly take the time needed for each student to understand the techniques while ensuring that it is also fun. Our daughter was very shy at first, not wanting to grapple for the first three months but the coaches were very understanding and knew that she would eventually grapple once she gained enough confidence. She now grapples at every training, wants to go to multiple classes a day and grapples at home with me! Her confidence is through the roof and her behavior at home has greatly improved! Well, not only is the staff incredibly friendly and Coach Joe is amazing, but I had some unexpected results! I routinely check body fat and muscle density as part of my other training. Both had been pretty stagnant for me during quarantine, which was why I joined. The results after one month was a 12lbs fat loss, and 6lbs muscle gain! That's a win/win! I've even got abdominal definition showing up!!! I've never had that in my life!!!! This was a game-changer!!! Oh, and my unmedicated high blood pressure just went back into remission!!! I met with the owners Peter and Rose Bianchi and instantly felt like I finally found the right place. First and foremost, this school has a great atmosphere. From the professors down to the coaches; everyone is friendly, humble, and always happy to help anyone regardless of skill level. The gym is state of the art and very clean. They come from a strong lineage, therefore, the curriculum is tried and proven to be effective for both self defense and sports competition.
