I had a great first visit at TSO. To start, I had called and spoken with Elizabeth to make my appointment. She took the time to look up my insurance and answer the initial questions I had. She was so nice and professional and it made a great first impression. I decided to book an appointment. When I arrived, Jasmine was behind the desk and greeted me with a smile. As I waited for my turn to be seen, i tried on a few glasses. Ultimately, I decided to get contacts for the first time and Dr. Salazar went over the options he thought would best suit my lifestyle and needs. I appreciated that Dr. Salazar did not seem rushed and that he genuinely wanted to make sure I was comfortable. Jasmine ran the numbers for cost and sent that information home with me so I could review it. I'm currently in my trial period with the contacts to make sure they are the right fit for me and then I will be placing my order afterward. Assuming no billing issues come up, I can easily say this was a 10/10 experience for me and that I will continue using TSO in the future! It was very clean, the staff was very professional and accommodating and I felt very comfortable. Thank you for a great experience! read more

Their lack of communication and unprofessionalism is staggering. I received 6 different stories about 1 order of contacts. With the exception of the 1 story which was getting me to pay double for an order of contacts I had follow up to get my contacts and end up being cheated out of 3 months worth. Dr Salazar seemed professional during my visit. He recommended a different contact than what I had been using might work better for me. Of course I ordered them but when I went to pick them up there was only a 3 month supply. I called their attention to this and they said I had ordered a 6 month supply and they would have the remaining 3 month supply shipped to my home. After 6 weeks I hadn't received the rest of my order so I called and was told I had only bought 3 months and would have to pay again for the other 3 months. One lady told me they would give me enough trials to get me through the next 3 months because during the 6 weeks I was waiting no one bothered to call me about any issues. Then she put me on hold and another person came on and told me they would "do me a favor" and give me one trial pair but if I wanted any more I'd have to pay...again. read more

First Dr. Gonzales was kind and patient with my children whom have special needs, them with my mom who spoke spanish. I finally got a chance to go for my annual checkup and she was very helpful and educated me on so many things! read more

I was in a meeting and a screw came out of my glasses. I called many vision shops, but they would not work on my glasses unless I bought something from them. I called Texas State Optical and they informed me that they would be closing soon, but they would wait a little until I could get there in order to get my lenses fixed and placed into my frames. I could barely see while driving and I had expressed the seriousness of why I needed that job done asap. Thank you very much for having empathy; now I can continue my day and drive safely on the road. Texas State Optical (Baybrook location) read more

This is one of the places that takes our vision insurance, but even if it didn't I think we would still go here. They have a good selection and really decent prices. The people are super sweet and helpful; the lady that helped hubby pick out new glasses was a hoot and was honest without being rude, or being overly agreeable We had picked out one pair that was meh because of the price and she agreed that they looked good, but she thought they didn't really do much for him. Then on her advice we found another pair that was comparable but were just different enough to go from meh to wow and she was in definite agreement about the second pair. It's always nice to get a fairly honest opinion from someone that doesn't know you. I say fairly honest because of course her job is to sell glasses. :) Dr. Fingold is the only doctor here and hubby said he was kind, and thorough. He talked to him about the issues he has and suggested what he needed for his glasses. The parking can be somewhat of a pain because it's in a strip mall by the mall but usually it's not too bad. All in all this is a solid, decently priced place that has an optometrist that cares about you. I feel very comfortable trusting my eyes to everyone here! :) read more

Friendly & helpful staff definitely would recommend coming here for a hassle free experience. They do glasses repairs here as well. Taylor fixed my abstract design glasses I was beyond happy and Alexis at the front desk was very helpful kind. The whole staff cares about the customer experience and wants to help. 10/10 . 5 stars! read more

Terrible service including the physican and techs. They are all so rude and some don't even understand basic math. They tried to overcharge me and continued to argue until I explained my situation to two other people. Definitely would not recommend this location or ever come back!!! read more

Disorganized! Disorganized! Disorganized! - I took both of my son's to get their annual eye exam here. What a disaster! It began when we waited for over an hour AFTER our scheduled appointment, moved onto them scheduling my son for a "contacts exam" without having the ONLY person in their office whom does this particular part available that day. Frustrated, we have to make a 2nd appointment to come in when it's convenient for them to have the "contacts person" there. Just when I thought we were finally getting to leave, she tells me she forgot to verify my insurance so I have to pay them over $200. For what?! They weren't able to DO anything.....ridiculous! read more

Stuck-up rude bitch that works up front. You lost several customers because of me before I even had an appointment. I don't give my money to businesses with horrible customer service. read more

The doctor was as sweet as can be and when I told them about the reviews online they all said that the staff has changed a lot since most of the complaints were written. Glasses were about the same price as everywhere else, but they did seem somehow nicer quality than other places. read more

Called to schedule appt, came in for the exam, and got out with my new glasses and contacts all in the same day. I don't understand why so many people are bashing this place. My experience was straight forward with no frills-in and out with a quality exam and solid frames. Also, the prices are reasonable. read more

My husbands insurance is taken at this TSO; that is the only good thing we can find about this TSO. We went in to get Rx sunglasses only. We already had the Rx. 3 ladies were at the front and there were no other customers yet we milled around for about 15 minutes before we were acknowledged. There was apparently something going on because there was a lot of chit chat and at one point a man who appeared to be the eye doc came and discussed something rather loudly and left. We finally picked frames, paid up and were told 10 days. Fast forward 4 weeks, no phone calls from TSO, no sunglasses. We began calling at 2 weeks, were told a variety of things such as they were late from the manufacturer, arrived defective and were sent back; still no notification by TSO. Glasses finally did arrive a few days ago (5 weeks since the order), guess how we found out.....that's right we called them and shock of all shockers; glasses were in. We will NEVER use this TSO again. We rate an absolute ZERO for professionalism and customer service. I rated a 1 over all due to reasonable prices. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, very FRUSTRATING. read more

My daughter I and I went to TSO yesterday to get our eyes checked. We had read the reviews on yelp and saw how they spoke about the desk manager and how the rest of the staff was. I still decided to go and give it a try. I called around noon and got 2 appointments for 3pm that day! How often does that happen? The lady on the phone was nice and told us to please come 15min early for paperwork which we did. When we walked in I made sure to be very nice after reading the reviews to make sure I wasn't the one if there became an issue. The desk manager was nice not overly bubbly but professional and somewhat busy. She gave us the paper work and said we would be seen once it was completed. The tech took us back and did a couple of pre-checks and then straight in to see the Dr. She was very nice and knew what she was doing. She was happy to answer all my questions and socialize some. So was this the best visit ever to a Doctors office? No but it was very nice and professional. I would recommend going. read more

Hubby and I both had appointments, and were thoroughly satisfied with the service and treatment we received. We were a bit late because I got lost (new to the area), but they still saw me. Our appoints were around 11:30 a.m., and we were the only two patients in the office (no over-crowding or long waits at all). Dr. Sheril Cherian and her staff were very professional, courteous, answered all of my questions, and friendly too. I also appreciated that I was directed to the glasses displays, and encouraged to take the time I felt necessary to consider the very nice variety of frames. We didn't feel pressured at all. When we left, hubby said to me: I wish all doctor visits were that easy. I am now trying to decide between two pairs of very reasonably priced frames that I like, and will take a couple of weeks to make my decision. I will most certainly return to TSO Baybrook to complete my purchase, and am very happy that we've finally found an OD who is just right for us. We highly recommend. read more
