I drive an hour each way to bring my son here, only to have his time wasted by inexperienced therapists who clearly lack proper training and hands-on experience. My first complaint was completely ignored by both Rebecca, the owner, and Doreen, the scheduling coordinator. When I brought up my concerns again, instead of listening, Rebecca threw my son out of her clinic, talked over me, and denied everything I'd seen firsthand. His father has also complained twice about the same issues, but Rebecca refuses to take any accountability and chooses instead to argue with parents and act as if we are the problem. Do not fall for the nice and friendly introduction they give during the first visit. It's nothing but a sales tactic to get you in the door and bill your insurance or take your money. Once you start noticing issues and try to speak up, their entire attitude changes. This is not a speech pathologist who cares about the children, but one who clearly only sees them as a way to make more money for her clinic. I was told this was one of the best clinics, but after everything I've experienced and witnessed, it's far from it. I have emails and texts as proof for anyone who doubts it. Parents -- do yourselves a favor and take your children somewhere that genuinely cares, listens to your concerns, and treats families with respect. Don't make the same mistake I did -- avoid this place at all costs.

I had a wonderful experience with Kelly Frye at Speech and Occupational Therapy of North Texas and…read morehighly recommend her as an OT / Feeding therapist. When I had a hard time finding someone who could take my 8-month year old son for feeding therapy, Kelly got us on her schedule. She was a huge relief during a stressful time. Over the next several months, Kelly worked with him weekly on both OT exercises and helping him improve his muscle structure in his mouth to learn to chew his food rather than thrust it out of his mouth (which you can imagine is very stressful for a baby starting solids). She was a calming and reassuring presence each week. She taught me exercises and techniques to use at home between sessions and was always available if I had questions or concerns (I haven't experienced that amazing level of support anywhere else for either of my children when they've needed medical care). She would send me details on what to bring for each session which made me feel confident too. She was flexible with which location we held our sessions which helped this working mother be able to get her son to the appointments. Thanks to Kelly's expertise we made huge strides and helped get my son back on track with his eating and be able to add more and more foods into his meals. I am so grateful for our experience working with Kelly. Now that we've finished our therapy program all I can say is that I miss seeing and working with her each week. Highly recommend Kelly!

Sadly some insurance companies make it very difficult to have services covered unless there's been a formal diagnosis, ours fell into this category. A couple of months had passed and our insurance changed to one that I had remembered Holly telling me about that was pretty easy to get things going. We scheduled the initial evaluation and never looked back, I should have gotten around to this sooner. Today was our last session with Holly as we are transitioning to the public school system and will be utilizing their resources. I know our kiddo will always have a place with Holly if our needs change in the future. If you are looking for someone who is going to provide love and compassion while helping your kiddos through their speech, Holly is definitely your girl.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about The Heritage at Twin Creeks and the people who make this…read morecommunity so special. I found The Heritage while searching for a new memory care community for my father, who was living with dementia and Parkinson's. I had made the difficult decision to move him from his previous facility because I no longer felt confident that he was receiving the level of care and attention he deserved. Anyone who has had to make this decision for a parent knows how emotional and overwhelming it can be. You are placing someone you love in the hands of others and trusting them with their safety, dignity, and quality of life. From the moment I visited The Heritage at Twin Creeks, I felt a difference. I was incredibly impressed by the cleanliness and appearance of the community, but even more important was what I saw in the residents and staff. The residents appeared happy, comfortable, engaged, and genuinely cared for. Watching the way the staff interacted with them gave me a sense of comfort that I had been desperately looking for. Matt Gerleman, the Executive Director, along with William, the Sales Director, April, the Memory Care Director, and Deborah, the Wellness Director, made an especially strong impression on me. Their communication, compassion, professionalism, and willingness to answer my questions helped give me confidence that my father would be in good hands. I never felt as though I was simply being "sold" a room. I felt that they understood what our family was going through and understood the enormous responsibility that comes with caring for someone with memory loss. Sadly, my father passed away before I was able to move him into The Heritage. I truly wish we had found this community sooner. Although he never had the opportunity to live there, I walked away believing that this was a place where he could have been safe, cared for, and treated with dignity. When you are searching for memory care for someone you love, beautiful surroundings are important, but what matters most is the people who will be there when you are not. Based on everything I experienced and witnessed at The Heritage at Twin Oaks, I would absolutely recommend this community to families looking for a place where they can feel confident that their loved one will be treated with compassion, respect, and genuine care. My sincere thanks to Matt, William, April, Deborah, and the entire team for the kindness and reassurance you gave me during an incredibly difficult time in my life.

Our family ultimately reached a point where we no longer trusted The Heritage to catch serious…read moreproblems unless we found them first. That conclusion came after more than a year of repeated problems, follow-ups, corrections and escalation to management and regional leadership. Our experience consistently came back to four areas: communication, training, accountability and consistency. We dealt with medication-order discrepancies, missing or inconsistent blood-pressure documentation, care-plan concerns, poor communication between shifts and situations where responsibility seemed to move from one person or department to another. We also witnessed friction between caregivers that added to our concerns about communication and teamwork. We documented problems, met with management and eventually escalated our concerns to regional leadership. Some issues were corrected after we identified them. Yet problems continued. There are employees at Heritage who genuinely cared about my mother. Our criticism is directed at the failure of the systems surrounding them. Families should not have to audit records, verify orders, chase answers and check whether previously reported problems stayed fixed. After more than a year, we no longer trusted the admin or its systems to catch problems before we did.
