After a long day on the road and being in Florida for a while we decided we needed some STEAK! Not always easy to find a good local place so we decided to go to Texas Roadhouse, six miles off the highway, but thought it would be worth it. Short version- sat at the bar with which was almost empty. Sat about 7:45. Greeted immediately by wonderful, friendly young lady. Gave our drink order, Grey Goose, club soda, splash of cranberry, lemon-no lime & Tito's rocks with olives. Not complicated. Let's just say by 8:20 we had our drinks. We ordered bread, steak, salad about 7:50. About 8:30 a manager stopped by and asked how things were going. We told him it had been awhile and we'd live our salad and bread. Another 15 minutes goes by and salads finally arrived. The Caesar salad (Romain lettuce only) oh sorry we ran out of Caesar Deessing, and the other salad with the wrong dressing. Being VERY hangry and out of patience we decided we are done. The bartender's couldn't believe we would want to leave. We asked for the check for the drinks and they had to get a manager to take the food off. That took at least another five minutes. Two drinks -3oz of alcohol $26.00!! We paid the bill asked to speak to the young manager who was totally unapologetic and rude, which escalated my patience. The general manager entered the conversation and he was vey understanding and helpful I had learned to laugh bad service off and try to understand all of the excuses and be patient, but there are times when enough is enough. After reading other YELP reviews this issue seems to be inherent at this location. Time to fix the problems of a kitchen that backs up, rude staff (not our bartender), staff having to engage with a managers to fix all issues, or to get back-up liquor. read more

Service was ok but the workers and customers were freezing their asses off. I told the worker about it and she said they have complained about it before but nothing changes. This is only the third T roadhouse I've been to but they've always had a nice outside patio, this one does not. I won't be coming here anymore. read more

My wife and I started with the onion. It was overcooked and tasted burnt. I ordered the country fried steak dinner. It was overcooked and dried out. My wife had the kabobs which she said were pretty good. The only good part of my meal was the Coca Cola and the rolls. The worst part was when one of the waitresses began screaming and singing for someone's birthday. She was actually screaming and shrieking. When that started we were ready to get up and leave our meal on the table. Another, older couple near us were cringing from the noise. Texas Roadhouse is not a place where you can enjoy a nice relaxing meal. Very noisy which is a real turn-off. This was out third visit... all were the same. Three strikes and they're out. We were terribly disappointed by our experience, which is a shame because usually love coming to Texas Roadhouse. -Seated at 4:30, but we didn't see our waitress for 20 minutes -Didn't get rolls till 5 -Didn't get our side salads till 5:30. There were people around us who arrived and ordered after us that received and finished their food and left before we even got our salads. -Got our food at 6, and the steak was of course overcooked and dry but at that point we just wanted to get out of there so we didn't bring it up and just asked for to go boxes. Not to mention that the people in one booth next to us were shouting and cussing the entire time, and the people in the other booth next to us were allowed to vape inside the restaurant, right next to our 2 year old and 2 month old. My family and I came here a little later last night after a long day of yard work. We showed up around 9:30 and we were immediately seated. Our waitress, Gabby, immediately came over and introduced herself and proceeded to take our drink order and we also ordered a cactus blossom . After quickly getting our drinks to us Gabby took our order. I got the 6oz sirloin, my wife got the sirloin and shrimp, and my youngest son got the sirloin steak off the Kid's Ranger menu. All were ordered medium rare and they were all cooked perfectly!! My older son ordered the adult chicken critters meal with steak fries and asked that the fries be covered with cheese and bacon and my niece got the same thing, but off the Kid's Ranger menu as well. Both of them loved the chicken critters and fries! The cactus blossom was spot on as always and the salads that my wife and I got with our meal order were wonderful as well. The restaurant was not that busy due to us getting there later, so it was quite peaceful. I also enjoyed being able to finish the Alabama basketball game that was being broadcasted on several TVs. The service by Gabby was superb and the manager also stopped by to check on us to ensure all was well and to make sure we didn't need anything. We will definitely be back!! read more

We have the best server we've had in a very long time. Her name is Shauna. She had a smile on her face from the time she came to our do you want to table till we were leaving. It was fun to talk to her. She ran out of her way to bring an extra drink a bag for my rolls and all the time with a smile on her face. Of course the food was delicious. Ordered to go on Valentines Day as I was recovering from surgery. Followed directions to text HERE when we arrived. Arrived on time and texted HERE. System kept saying order wasn't ready yet to wait in the car. We waited in the car over an hour all while getting to same not ready text. Right as we were going in to talk to a manager, a manager called us and asked us if we were coming to pick up the food. I explained that we had been there for over an hour and that the text kept saying order wasn't ready. She said well it is ready and I asked if our food was hot. She said no. I told her we were not waiting another hour for hot food that we would just take the food cold. She offered to refund our money for the meal and she never has. Not a great Valentines Day especially when I'd already had it pretty rough with the surgery. For management, follow through is EVERYTHING. We waited 15 mins to be seated (Not too bad except here's the thing 1/2 the restaurant was empty). They sat us with No Hot rolls (this is their custom to always do) we go here at least 2X a week and have Never been sat without rolls. We waited 25 mins for rolls and after an hour and 10 mins No food! I asked our nice waitress Skye to bring a manager. This 2nd shift Manager Jaylynn was SUPER RUDE! Making excuses for the ovens being shut off/losing power. I asked her why no one was getting their food though since powers been on for at least an hour & 10 mins. Jaylynn informed us in a RUDE TONE, "I've no idea what's going on in the kitchen, we just can't catch up and I don't know why!" When I asked her if she could see that's a "real problem that she the manager doesn't know what's going on in the kitchen" we told her the situation isn't acceptable and we were leaving she told us "G right ahead" and walked away. Skye apologized over & over for her behavior. We understood wasn't Skyes fault. We were still charged for our cup of chili and dinner salad those were supposed to be our sides to our steaks and ribs. We did tip Skye $10.00 as she tried her hardest to get our food and anything to keep us happy. She's a fantastic waitress! We've talked to many managers at this same Roadhouse and ALL were great before today's experience with Jaylynn! I'd give today's visit a -1 if I could. In fairness this is a management problem. Texas Roadhouse failed today. They normally are on point. The food and service was fine but the cleanliness not so much. Check out photos of the A1 bottle I was given for my steak. Can you say lost an appetite! Also look at the dishes overflowing the bin. How clean do you think those paper towels are behind the dishes. Sad thing was there were only 8 people at the bar. This was at lunch. I could maybe understand if it were a Friday night and slammed. What happed to at least one bartender being behind the bar at all times???? Can't say a bad thing about my experience. Savannah the bartender was incredible. She commanded the attention of the bar when needed, and made sure everyone had what they needed promptly. Her kindness is super apparent and appreciated. She made me feel at home and it was my first time sitting at the bar here. Pracilla dropped off my salad and made sure everything was going well with a beautiful smile. Please seek her out when looking for a precious server. Will not disappoint. Went there on Saturday evening to have drinks and what we presumed would be a great meal with friends. Upon arrival, the venue was crowded and there was a wait time for our party so, we all ordered drinks from the bar. Upon being seated we ordered our food and began conversation among ourselves at our table. Out of nowhere, this Texas Roadhouse employee who was maybe 20-23 years old approached our table and informed all of us that we were going to be cut off from ordering any more drinks from the bar. I was fine with that, but she then proceeded to falsely accuse me of using profanity aloud but there was no profanity being used in any conversations at our table. I'm normally a Texas Roadhouse fan, but as for this particular location, I will not be going back. If I wanted to be treated like I live in North Korea, I would book a flight to Pyongyang. If there's one thing, I cannot stand it's a false accusation, but to get into someone else's conversations and then falsely accuse them is another. Under normal circumstances, I would have gotten physically violent for that sort of behavior, but it was a female, so I instead called her a F***ing C*nt and then left the establishment. We arrived at 5:50, put on the list & was seated by 6:15. We ordered around 6:30. My husband ordered a cheese burger, medium. When he finally got it at 7:00 it wasn't even cooked; the inside looked like they just pulled it out of the fridge, didn't even cook at all. Clearly the cook didn't use a thermometer to test the center because it definitely would have been not to temp. Food is very good and we especially like the salmon which we usually get once per week. We had a night out tonight and we had received an appetizer for joining the VIP club. We looked and it said the only appetizer excluded was the combo so we wanted the shrimp appetizer and the waitress said the manager would not approve the shrimp so we had to settle for the potato skins. Very disappointing since then both cost the same 7.99 . I think the manager was mixed up on why we could not have that appetizer when the coupon clearly states the only exclusion was the combo. read more

Don't go here if you just got a new ID and have a paper copy of your temporary one. I'm 23 waiting for my hard copy to come. I tried ordering a margarita and my waitress said she wouldn't accept my temporary id. I asked why not and to ask a manager. She said that the id has to "be a hard copy"? I pointed out at the top that it says "temporary state issued ID. Expires may 24, 2022" and she said she wouldn't take it because she could lose her job. This makes absolutely no sense. She also mentioned getting their liquor licenses suspended too. It was all just so ridiculous and unbelievable. My friend ordered a margarita for me and she said "i'm really not even supposed to be doing that either". Once our appetizers came out, she slapped them on the table and walked away. We were all thrown back by her reaction because no one at our table had an attitude with her and we were all very respectful, just confused because her reasoning was illogical. Texas Roadhouse has always been a favorite of mine. We go weekly, but i will not be back to this location. I think our waitresses name started with a C? Crystal or Cynthia or something. If I could give a below 0 negative review I would...sad even with all the challenges of todays service industry this was exceptionally bad...there was absolutely no attempt to correct the situation. Additionally they had many people standing around on duty..here's the jest of it...disgustingly dirty plates, a napkin rolled with silverware covered with food, server looked at my plate when I asked about my sweet potato and said oh I thought your plate looked empty disappeared about returned to say It will be about 10 minutes ..then a hair was found in mashed potato's, fries drowning in salt..no manager only a delivery of the manager is to busy so she took 20 off your ticket...as we were waiting to pay another server then came and said the manager wants you to have this..hands me plate with a sweet potato...sad when a manager cannot even come to the table for complaints of filth and hair! Good evening. My name is Mitch Cumstein, and I am a detective. I run a special practice; I am my own client, you could say. I investigate matters dealing with the food service industry, in particular customer complaints, disputes involving serving staff, and the like. My staff and I have looked into this Lauren Thomas matter, and have determined the following: 1) That she was unfairly and inexplicably maligned during the dinner service in question, by the guest in question, who is listed on Facebook as "Annette Lamar." 2) That Ms. Thomas did post to her account relaying her experience, but that she refrained from naming your company as well as from naming any of the individuals involved with the incident in question. 3) That "Annette Lamar" contacted Ms. Thomas via private message as well as directly via Ms. Thomas' original post documenting the incident in question. In so doing, "Annette Lamar" greatly exaggerated, embellished, and even to some degree misrepresented, the facts of the incident in question. 4) Further, "Annette Lamar" used language in the aforementioned messages that could be deemed to contained veiled racism, particularly her use of the terms "whip" and "hoodrat." 5) That "Annette Lamar" was actually the one who came forward and gave her own name, thus instigating the conflict that resulted. 6) That the specific action in question--Ms. Thomas tapping the shoulder of the husband of "Annette Lamar" to get his attention--was done in a professional manner and within the boundaries of what is commonly considered acceptable behavior for a restaurant employee; and that it was done only when purely audible attempts had already failed, due to the noisy environment. CONCLUSION: From the above findings, my staff and I have concluded that Ms. Thomas was well within her rights when she posted to her private account, since she took the appropriate measures of maintaining the anonymity of the individuals involved. It is reasonable to assume Ms. Thomas did not seek out conflict; conflict only arose when "Annette Lamar" inserted herself into the situation. It was "Annette Lamar," not Ms. Thomas, who resorted to harassment. It was "Annette Lamar," not Ms. Thomas, who resorted to threats; namely, declaring she ("Annette") would have Ms. Thomas' job. Hence, there existed a clear and unmistakable motivation. We at the Cumstein Detective Agency believe "Annette Lamar" was acting out of a deluded sense of entitlement, as well as out of envy. Ms. Thomas has been described by numerous friends, acquaintances, and followers of this incident as a kindhearted, caring, honest, warm, and highly likable person, with a "contagious enthusiasm for life" and a "youthful and radiant glow about her." She is also often described as "strikingly beautiful." My staff and I have not been able to unearth nearly as many such complimentary references to "Annette Lamar." We at the Cumstein Detective Agency, therefore, declare the termination of Lauren Thomas unjust, undeserved, and unwarranted. I am so disappointed in the service we had . I call in our order and my husband went to pick it up. He was there a couple minutes early, so he waited, called the number to let the people know he was there. No one anwsered. I called from home to let them he was there and waiting in spot I. He waited 20 - 25 minutes. Someone answered, I told her my husband was there and she told me to wait a minute. I waited about 30 minutes. A man pick up the phone, I told him what I was waiting on, he said just a minute. I hung up and call my husband back. He had to go in to get our food. I believe they should just tell you to come to window instead of having you park and wait on you food. We see now they are not going to bring it to you. We went there becauese their ad said they would bring your order to you. My husband had a stroke and is using a caning to walk since he can not walk very good. We to restaurant in Decatur Al., first of all salad was brought out with no silverware on table and last nights lettuce stuck to plate! My husband is a much more tolerant person than most! Next my steak tasted like it was cooked last night and reheate, I have digestive issues, I can't eat foods that are not cooked throughly! The bathroom just smelled horrible, it needed to be cleaned!
