GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! Dr. Coors told me by removing my Macular pucker there was 70% - 80% success rate, 6 months ago had procedure, fuzziness just moved a little lower in my vision but my total vision in that eye has completely changed for the worst. At the 3 month follow up appointment she said just give it time to heal.. At our initial consultation she said 100% I would develop a cataract in that eye, 6 months has passed, my right eye vision is so bad I went to see my optometrist, he checked my eyes and did NOT see a cataract. Just that my vision has dramatically declined in that eye. As other's have said, for the 3 month check up they were preparing to leave for lunch when they realized all the patients after me had been seen & I was still there, the assistant / nurse had never noticed my appointment "slip", ugh! I have been on hold for hours the past 2 days by the automated message to cancel my 6 month appointment this Thursday, no one ever answers, I think they must be closed part of the week. You can not even leave a voicemail! Even tried the billing option, you can leave a message there, the woman says she will get back to you in 42-78 hours! Dr. Wang is such a treasure; he's polite, kind, and very attentive. I'm lucky to have him managing my eye care.

I have been a patient of Dr. Wang for 10 years and he has helped me so much with Retina problems, cataracts and floaters. He has a great patient to doctor relationship manner as does his entire staff. However, because he is the top Retina specialist in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, everyone wants to see him. The wait will be a long one, an hour is average. I have waited as much as 2.5 hours, but I was also having several tests. Take a book, headphones, a game, something to entertain yourself. Dr. Wang is worth the wait if you care about your eyes and want the best. FYI: it is a double wait; you will be called in and sent to another waiting area where the technicians will call you for exams and tests before seeing the doctor. I waited 3 hours to see a specialist once to find out I had been misdiagnosed, he referred to someone who knew what they were doing. Those 3 hours saved my life. read more

Plan on waiting 1-2 hours past your appointment time. They have zero regards or respect for your time and refuse to apologize. Yet, if you show up 30 minutes past your appointment time you won't be seen and they will charge you. Dr Wang is great, but his assistant is disrespectful and unapologetic. There are many other great doctors out there, if you value your time, go somewhere else. Both Dallas and Plano locations have this issue. read more

Go to the Dallas location!!! Dr. Wang is amazing, but never again will I go to the Plano location. My appt. Was for 1:30 and I didn't get out of there until almost 5pm after hours spent waiting sandwiched between coughing people in a tiny waiting room. When I finally went to check out I had to fight with the office girl to get her to file my claim with insurance. She told me that's not how they do it if you haven't met deductible, patient just pays full price. Ummm...if you don't file with insurance, how does my insurance know I just paid $600 more toward my deductible?? How am I guaranteed I am getting the rate my insurance has worked out with the provider?? Medical offices always need to file with insurance regardless of whether deductible has been met. No other doctor office i have been to (and I go to neurologist, ophthalmologist, and rheumatologist) doesn't file with insurance. And everywhere else i pay a 30% specialist co-pay, says it right on my insurance card. Office staff at the Plano location acted like I was speaking Urdu when I explained this to them. Never had any of these issues at the Dallas location. Be careful, you're probably getting ripped off if you regularly go to the Plano location...not to mention wasting entire days in waiting rooms. read more

I'm not a patient here, I brought my grandmother here for her appointment. Very little people in the waiting room so it is easy to social distant. However, with every other doctors office I have taken her to, they take everyone's temperature as they come into the office. This place did not. They also have a machine that you can get water in a cup that everyone can touch and use, thus spreading germs. There was a patient that did not have her mask on over her nose and the staff did not ask her to wear it correctly, even with a sign on their front door asking you to wear it over your nose. Not seeing anyone wiping down chairs as patient flow turns over. I realize this is a eye doctor, but we still have patients In waiting room coughing and what not. Not impressed with their cleanliness in the waiting room. read more

My mother went in for an appointment at 10:15 at the Plano center. The risk of COVID-19 in Plano has been rising steadily each day. The precautions taken at this center were abysmal. She was asked to wait until 11:30 in a small waiting room with 6-7 other patients. This is 1 hour and 15 minutes after her appointment time. She was not asked to wait outside or given electronic in-take forms. She was expected to wait indoors for more than 1 hour during a pandemic. Her temperature was also not taken before she went inside. She was instead asked to fill out a PAPER form detailing her COVID-19 symptoms after sitting inside for about 20 minutes. Why was she not asked to wait outside? Why were her intake forms not sent to her through email to be completed on her own device? Why did they not take her temperature before letting her inside? Why were they crowding a waiting room with 6-7 people? Why did they make her wait more than 1 hour for her appointment? My final grievance is with their response time. I have called 5+ times over the course of a day, submitted my grievance via their contact form on their website, and messaged them on facebook. I have still not been able to speak to a single person. My calls keep going to their automated hold system and I have still not been called back. The physicians are commendable. But their COVID-19 precautions are not well outlined or enforced. I am surprised at their lack of innovation and creative thinking given that these are all well trusted and successful physicians. My mother's experience is concerning. read more

Dr Wang is THE BEST ; a retina rockstar. After ten years of being treated by ophthalmologists who said I would go blind, I was referred to Dr Wang for an immediate appointment from a third ophthalmologist. He looked at my eyes and told me "I wish you would have seen me sooner", and came up with a treatment plan. After several surgeries my eyesight was completely restored, and I now have near 20/20 vision, and am in maintenance mode. It is my understanding Dr Wang is one of the top two or three retina specialists in North America, and possibly the world. I was waiting with all of his patients one day, and they gave me their testimonies. He sees nearly 100 patients daily, and I heard SO many accounts about Dr Wang --- their eyesight was repaired when no one else could. I am so grateful and will recommend anyone to his practice. The office staff here is HORRIBLE! I wish I had read the reviews on various sites before even bothering trying to schedule an appointment. I never actually got to schedule an appointment because they wouldn't let me. They need to have a referral before they will do anything. I told them I have one but they needed to see it first. They are so rude. My doctor finally sent one over and they called me a week later to schedule! No thanks! Don't waste your time between the rude front office and apparent wait times. read more

After being told by two opthamologists that my eye floaters shouldn't be treated, I was offered hope by Dr. Coors. She was extremely professional, answering all my questions after a thorough examination. The surgery went well and I'm happy to say that after two years of suffering with this eye condition, it's now 100% improved. terrible terrible terrible i took my friend (i was the driver) for a simple eye procedure. she checked in, after an HOUR she still had not been called. she went up to the desk and the reductionist said "oh, we lost your slip, i forgot to print it out " we were shocked ... NO RECORD of her checked in, we were sitting there waiting and waiting . Rather than make it right and get her in right away, she suggested my friend needed to reschedule. my friend said, "no thanks, i will find another Doctor" did i mention that the week before, my friend had been at the same Doctors office for the same procedure. they had dilated her eyes and sent her back into the waiting room and made her wait TWO HOURS before they called her back for the procedure. The Dr. could not finish the procedure because my friend could not keep her eyes open, the were so sensitive and irritated. what a TERRIBLE place. STAY AWAY ! read more

I have been bringing my mom here for about a year. Although I think Dr. Coors is wonderful- this office is NEVER on schedule. We had an appt for 2:15 today. It is 3:15 and we are sitting in the waiting room with a ton of other people. They have only taken 2 people back since we arrived. They have had to bring in additional chairs into the waiting area as the appointments just keep coming in. They either need to stop over scheduling or come up with a better system for rotating clients. read more

They are professional and friendly. Dr Anand is efficient. I had to use their services as a precaution to eye surgery and my eyes are healing nicely. So far so good, after 3 appointments. I hope the 4th is the last one though. :) I can't wait to start wearing contacts again. read more

It's Dr. Wang all the way! My new patient appointment was on 10/17/17 at 1:45. I was checked out and on my way by 3:15. The technician who conducted my initial interview was thorough and patient. We were laughing because I warned her not to mess up my mascara with the dilation drops. (She was careful! No mascara smeared today! Yay!) Dr. Wang was sweet and personable and took all kinds of time and with my exam and the explanation of my condition and treatment options available. There was no language barrier and he was concerned I understood how things would proceed from here. He recommended monitoring my condition with a follow up and surgery in six months. This is one of the most poorly run offices I have ever been to. I don't know what the doctor was like as we never made it out of the waiting room. When I called 2 weeks ago to make the "new patient" appointment, I was told to go online and download the paperwork, fill out, and bring to the office with me. When I got there with pages of downloaded completed paperwork, I was told that "everything is computerized" and I should not have filled out the paperwork as the staff would have to "input" everything. The office personnel there seemed annoyed that I had done this when I was TOLD BY THEIR STAFF TO DO IT..So my elderly mother with dementia( this I also told them ahead of time and asked for some consideration to take her back out of the busy waiting room as she gets easily overwhelmned-they refused to do) and I sat there for 1/2 hour more as 4 other groups of patients who came in after us were taken back. When I asked the desk staff why she had not been taken back, she blamed ME because the staff were "inputting the information" before they could see her. So basically they were punishing us for preparing ahead according to their instructions. My mother meanwhile became quite agitated, demanded to leave and now refuses to go back to get treatment for her macular degeneration. If the average patient has to wait a MINIMUM of 2 hours at this facility, (this is what the front staff told me) then it is NOT being run properly. We have been to other retinal groups and they certainly do NOT take this long and the staff at other facilities show at least a modicum of compassion for their patients. Will not go back.. read more

I've been trying to get Texas Retina to fax my mother's medical records to her new doctor in another state for 3 months!!! I had to cancel one appointment with her new doctor (after waiting a month for the appointment) because Texas Retina did not send the records. I requested again and they assured me they would fax them. Here I sit again, on the verge of having to cancel a second appointment, because they still have not faxed the records.
