Shame on me. That company said my aging opener could NOT be repaired, and a replacement would cost $2,600. Garage Door Specialists gave me options. They COULD repair it, but I chose to have them replace it for 1/4 the price of the other company. Not sure why I bothered calling the other company. Next time, my first call will be to Garage Door Specialists.

Requested a quote through Yelp and they were the only company that gave me an actual estimate…read morewithout trying to schedule a "free in-person estimate". I have a terrible work schedule but they had no problem working with me. You will get a text before they head your way within a short window (unlike companies that tell you 8am-8pm). They did the job very professionally without cutting corners on my garage opener installation. I am picky with attention to detail and they did not fall short. They routed the wires appropriately and set up the opener nicely instead of exposing all the wires. One small change that I would make is putting the wires through the hole on the face plate. My house came with the face plate holes. I always think it looks strange with the wires not going through the provided hole. Not a big deal though, just a minor detail. Lastly, they quoted me an amount and that's the price I paid. A lot of people quote without taxes included. It's a nice touch instead of having to worry about paying 8% more to your quoted price.
