Can I just start by saying Stephen is AMAZING!!! Ok I'm not one to write reviews but I am so pleased with the customer service I received that I felt compelled to! So my husband and I were going out of town to get our car traded in for a new one. My husband locked all the dead bolts and even put door stoppers on our front and back doors and left through the garage. Yes, he's pretty paranoid during the holiday season. It completely slipped his mind that we did not have our garage openers on hand because we have programmed it into our car, but we came back into town with our new vehicle and have been completely locked out of our house! We did not know what or how we were going to get in and that's when we called Priest Lock & Key. Stephen arrived so fast and it was freezing cold outside that night (30 degrees). He tried so many different techniques to get our garage to open since that was the only way to get in. He found a space on top of the garage and tried to stick some tools in there to pull the emergency latch in order for us to be able to manually open the garage. His first 10 or even 15 attempts were unsuccessful, but he was so persistent and determined even though he was freezing and have been working on a solution for 3 hours straight! He did not give up, thank god! Even I was getting discouraged, but Stephen kept trying different techniques and coming up with different solutions. Finally, 3 and a half hours later, when we're all exhausted and ice cold, he was able to knock out the pin holding our garage and got it to open!! OMG it was a miracle. I don't think any other locksmith would ever be as creative and persistent as Stephen. Especially out in 30 degree weather for that long at night!! Thank you Stephen!!! We wouldn't know what to do without you! And for all that hard work what he charged was soo underpriced for all his hard work and effort! Definitely the best service! I called Priest lock and keys a Saturday night around 10pm after I couldn't find my car keys which I had lost somewhere inside Six Flags. From the moment they answered my call they made me fell a huge relieve, we are not from San Antonio and didn't have anyone to help us get back to the hotel also I didn't want to leave my car on the parking lot my little sister has anxiety attacks and was really scar, in tears and wanted to go back home. Before I had called another place who offered the same service and they didn't seem to care about my problem. The person who answered told me the wrong price and had understood I needed another service I called back because 20mins had passed and they said they would call me back in 5min I clarified what I needed done and they said they would call again in 5 min and that the tech was still not on his way, they called back but to tell me they wouldn't be able to show up. A security from the park gave me the number for Priest Lock & key and they made me feel a huge relieve after I talked to them their customer service is really, really great! They said they would show up in 15min and did also they where really nice we chatted while they worked on my key which made feel so much better and helped me get my head off the whole situation, the service was completed really fast, and for a cheaper price than others. Twice I have had to use Priest Lock & Key and the are great! The first time I locked myself and my baby out of the house. It was hot outside and not only had I left my house key inside but my car keys as well, so I couldn't go anywhere or sit with my daughter it he AC from the car. Luckily Priest lock and key came out ASAP since I was outside in the heat with a small child, he was very kind and understanding of my rush to get someone to come out, he assured me that as soon as he finished the job he was doing he would be right over, thank goodness he got us in the house within minutes. They are so great I used them again when we had a house key lost, but this time I wanted to replace the locks on my front door and the one in the garage. He helped me with what brands he could rekey to be the same key for both locks as well as making sure they weren't too expensive. He even offered to pick up the locks from the store himself but I was already there. Again he came out quickly and was done within 30 minutes if not less. I will continue to use them in the future if I need a locksmith. I would highly recommend Priest Lock & Key to anyone needing a locksmith who is professional, friendly, fast and very reasonable in price. read more

Read this review before calling Priest lock&key!! These people offer "mobile" services. They don't work out of an office, they work out of their homes. While they do have a van with signage, don't let that fool you into thinking they're professional. While the dad, Edward, was very polite, courteous and knowledgeable, the son-Stephen, is the total opposite. Edward was able to fix our office back door and we were satisfied with that service. However, they made a key for our company car (broken key) and when we picked it up(because they were going to charge ANOTHER fee to deliver it), the "new" key didn't work. We finally got it to work but we have to wiggle it to open the door and then again in the ignition. For fear of breaking the key, we called to have them come by and fix the key. Stephen wanted to charge yet ANOTHER fee!!! Unbelievable, but true. He wanted us to take the car and the key to his house to fix, which would inconvenience us, the customer. So much for their "mobile" services and trying to make things right for their customers. I would NOT RECOMMEND these people for ANY services. read more

Recently cracked my 2015 Honda Accord 4-button remote case and quickly needed a new one. Contacted Honda and got a $300 replacement quote--way too much for a key! I then called Priest Lock & Key and spoke to Stephen Priest who offered a much cheaper alternative. He offered an identical 4-button remote case with a key, which he would cut himself to match my key, and move the electronics from the old remote case to the new one--eliminating the need to program it. His cost for this service was an unbelievable $65. He even ordered the remote case and key for me. I met with him and he made my new remote case and cut the key in less than 15 minutes. Tested the new remote and key and everything checked out great. Fantastic job in no time. Saved me a lot of money and time. I highly recommend Priest Lock & Key for your auto remote and key replacement. Don't waste your money at the dealership, call Priest Lock & Key. Absolutely outstanding! I was recommending to another locksmith, but they could only schedule me in 4 hour blocks that were only available when I work. Yes, I just had to see where they had shot themselves in the foot - with a hollowpoint. I found Priest Lock & Key on yelp and gave them a call. They asked if they could call me right back, which they did. They were able to give me an exact time for service that wasn't in the middle of my working day. They were also specific as to what the price would be. The locksmith was on time, polite, professional, and knew his business. Rekeying my residence was easily done with a couple of new keys dropped right in my hand. I had a choice of cash, check, or credit card as forms of payment. I was locked out of my house and when I finally got a key (had to pick up the key from my son) I broke the key in the knob. To make things worse this was the only key to the house that we had. I tried to have a key made at Lowe's and they couldn't do it, but a locksmith could. It was 7:30 pm and I called Priest. The Owner was at my house within 15 minutes and had the door open in less than 2 minutes. He offered to make me a new key the next day at no charge. The cost for the services were reasonable and well worth it for the speed and efficiency of service. Very friendly and professional. Priest Lock and Key is the only company I will go through from now on. Stephen truly went above and beyond to help me out. I was stranded trying to get back to the Permian Basin and he came out exactly when he said he would as well as charging me what he said he would. Very friendly and very professional! I was parked on the top floor of the hotel garage and he even rolled my car down to where his van was because the garage ceilings were a little too short for him to fit. Stephen was amazing. Kind, quick and professional with exceptional customer service skills. I thought I had broken the key in my ignition and he arrived promptly, discovering that the part that had broken off wasn't even in the ignition. At first he quoted me 60-200 bucks, depending on how bad the situation was, but only charged me the service call fee because it was a pretty simple fix. Also, he recommended a glass company to help me fix my sideview mirrors (both are cracked and needing repair). 10/10. Absolutely will call again should I need a locksmith!! read more

I called to have a key replaced for my f350 unfortunately he wasn't able to fit me In when I needed. He explained the process and quoted me a price. I called another smith who originally quoted me a lower price but after discussion the price ended up being over twice as much when he described a much more involved process. I called back Priest and discussed it with him he said the guy was probably a scammer and recommended a few other smiths that were reliable. I called one and got back on the road. Called looking for a quote on some work, talked with Stephen. He asked where I was located and just so happened to be right around the corner, asked if he could stop by and give me a quote in person. Came right over, gave me the best price I had found (I had already spoke with 3 other locksmits) and did an excellent job. Called to get residential locks rekeyed. They were flexible with scheduling. Stephen is a good guy and will actually quote you a true price over the phone. The other guys will tell you "pricing varies depending on the lock." They would say "if its too expensive when we get out there, youll just have to pay the trip charge."
