Called My Good Samaritan to get a quote to come out to rekey the front door to my property for me. A week later I was ready to commit to the service, he was scheduled to come out April 15 at 4pm EST (3pm CST) I live out of state so I had to coordinate with my neighbor to make sure the locksmith could be let into the home. April 15th came and at 530pm EST (430 CST) I received a message from my neighbor in San Antonio making sure I knew the service hadn't been done yet. I texted the locksmith to get an update, it was stated that they were behind on a job and if my neighbor couldn't stay behind to wait for them they would just unlock it themselves. Cool, no issue. I was at a training exercise for my job and I instructed the locksmith to contact my spouse as they'd be available and I wouldn't have my phone. At night I got home, asked my spouse if he paid the locksmith and he said he was never contacted. Today, April 16 at 2pm EST I texted the locksmith and asked if they planned on coming back since the service wasn't fulfilled. I was reassured that they'd show up, yesterday they fell behind on a job. Cool, next time a heads up would be neat since I live out of state and there are other moving parts to this. 6PM EST I get a message from my spouse that the new locksmith that was sent out to do the job was charging us $150 for 5 locks, an amount I never agreed to. I got into contact with the locksmith at my property and explained that the person I spoke with (owner? Not sure) did not detail that it would be 5 total locks with a total cost of $150. The locksmith kindly explained the breakdown of pricing and that when its a rekey service, its standard to do all the exterior doors. Makes complete sense, but that has to be something that needs to be talked about when scheduling a service with a customer. At the end of the day I met the locksmith at $90, for his kindness, understanding, and professional demeanor. I wish that the owner (?) had explained this information and cost amount to me before we scheduled the service. I would have been fine paying the $150, but not after you flaked on the job the first day without a heads up and then wasted your employee's time and mine. The poor guy seemed super nice on the phone, too. Make sure you explain in detail what you need before having these guys come out. read more

My Good Samaritan - business truck - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me

Oscar responded really quickly, he came out to my house after my work hours to program my fob. Best of all this guy saved me like $300. The other deal is a ton of other companies could not help with my newer push-to-start Toyota, they just didn't have the tech. This guy has the right equipment, and a stellar cost. read more

I can't say enough good things about My Good Samaritan and the work they do at very reasonable costs. I received a few quotes from two other businesses and was amazed at the high cost of the better entrance lock sets. I communicated with Oscar and told him what I wanted and that I was not in a rush. He called me the following day and sent me a few samples of what I was looking for. I made my selection and he was able to get it at a lower price than what a few stores had it listed at. He and Daniel installed the set today and all is well. The business is fully licensed and bonded. I would highly recommend My Good Samaritan. read more

The saved us with replacing our lost car key. 100% recommend. The respond quick and are very kind.

The tech showed up late twice. Postponed to the next day. Prices are a bit higher than others. I do not recommend.

Good at communicating and quick service to change a few locks at my house. Much more reasonably priced compared to other companies I called. Highly recommend and would use them again. read more

Fast response and competitive pricing! Had my broken key fob replaced in front of my house and quickly at that! Thanks again!

The tech showed up ahead of schedule. He confirmed before coming over that. Although they weren't able to fix my specific problem, it was not for lack of trying. He did not charge me for attempting to diagnose the problem, I gave him some cash anyway. He was communicative, professional, and polite. I will definitely use again. read more

He could not duplicate the key for my 2021 Ford F150. He did duplicate the key for for my Tacoma but the key fob he gave me does not have any way to put on a key chain,or set of keys. He charged me $220.00 for this. It would have been a rip- off at $20. 00. Do not use this company. read more

Scheduling was easy via text, technician arrived on schedule and completed the lock re-keying work at a reasonable cost.

Stupidly locked my keys in my car. Messaged for a quote on Saturday (when they're closed!) and got a fast response. Very reasonably priced. Owner was very nice and sent someone out within about three hours (though I might have messaged for ETA a few times; felt bad for pestering, but he was very kind), and the actual service only took a few minutes. Very nice tech and great communication (he tried to call, but I guess my phone wouldn't take it for some reason, and the owner immediately messaged me AND the tech texted me). Overall great experience! Good communication, fast service, felt like they went above and beyond when they didn't have to. Would definitely use their service again (but understandably, hopefully I won't need to!). read more

Was professional and friendly, great Value as well. locksmith said he would be here in 20 minutes, I think it was 15.

Oscar saved MY LIFE twice in one day.. I locked my keys in car called all night for locksmiths.. mind you I had multiple companies tell me technicians would call me asap.. never did and when I finally found Oscar company he was very quick on responding and coming to job. He responded in less than 5 min and was out to me in 30 min. The first job of the day he did for me took 2 min. Unfortunately I didn't see my keyhole had been stripped as well I gave him a call again he was again very quick at responding and he came out again for me in 30 min. The 2nd job he had to do for me today was reprogrammed key bc my key hole was stripped it was a harder task this time but again he was quick and efficient 30 min tops it took. I was also worried I was going to have to pay pretty penny for service but Oscar had very reasonable pricing. If I could give his company a million stars I would. Don't go for these big companies stick with the small businesses and you won't be disappointed. read more
