Very bad customer customer service. Doesn't return your calls. They don't train their employees…read morevery well and say they clean baskets and don't. Don't waste your money with this company.

My pool pump motor died on Black Friday of Thanksgiving weekend. Ugh!!…read moreI immediately called who I had used before, which was Mid Cities Pools who claimed to be open. But never heard back. I'm actually glad I found Pony Express instead. I liked working with Zach the owner. He is easy going and polite and did use his mask when I was around too. I asked for an estimate ahead of time and he had no issues giving one. That made selecting his business over others very easy. He also will let you pay via credit cards or cash/check. Again very easy to work with over others. When Mid Cities Pools never called back on Friday or Saturday, I started worrying about the freeze warnings I heard about coming on Sunday. The one thing I did learn is no one could actually replace the motor on a Sunday, or at least none that would work in the Mid-Cities area. Because of the freeze warning, Zach offered to at least come out and bleed the lines in case of freezing. I felt that was such a cut above others. I ended up not having him do that, but I can tell you that after finding out how few pool repair companies work on a Sunday in a major cities like the DFW area, I was shocked I couldn't pay anyone extra even to do the work. So pray you don't have pool motor issues with a freeze coming on the weekend. I would have given Zach 5 stars if he could have replaced the motor on Sunday. But I would give 4 1/2 if I could. I'm not sure how with Yelp. In the end I found the Pony Express's pricing and the length of time it took for Zach to complete everything to be right on point with what Home advisors and Angie list said it would take. Bottomline around 3 hours of labor(include drive time) with the pump motor ran $535 w/tax. Again, that was at the reasonable rate listed by Home Advisor and Angies List. I had one company price me $1200 and not even for getting it in an emergency on Sunday either. That would just be the price. So as you can see I really looked into finding someone to do the work and for the going rate. Zach was that person. I even plan on having him come back to fix another issue I was starting to have with my automatic chlorination system. He was able to look at it and give me 2 options for fixing it. My pool was installed in 2000 and this is the original system. The motor was more than 10 years old so I knew it would go soon. All in all I'm happy I found a new pool company to use, because even after calling and leaving more than one message for Mid Cities pools(one on Friday at 1pm and one on Saturday too) they finally called back on Monday. They called to say they no longer do pool equipment repairs. If they had a voicemail system and not an old answering machine they might have gotten my message on Friday and called me back ASAP. I left messages on both their phone lines too. Remember this is late November with a freeze warning coming that had me starting to panic. Mid Cities just did nothing during working hours and their machine didn't say they were closed on Friday either just closed over the weekend. I honestly think you will be very happy if you use this company. Zach really was very knowledgeable too. Thanks Zach for a job well done.

I will start by saying, after pool was installed I am mostly happy with what we got. The pool looks…read moregreat. Service and install was a nightmare. After waiting a month and a half for them to get back to me after paying them for pool and install (no communication at all). They kept saying because of rain delays (which we have had a lot of rain). We paid for pool the last week of March. They started 6 weeks ago. They finally finished yesterday (7/15/25). 6 WEEKS!!! We did have like three days of rain spread out. They had dug a hole for the pool that accumulated water. I, the customer, had to by a pump to empty water so they could continue install. Otherwise I would probably still be looking at a big hole with water and partial pool sides installed. It stayed like that for a week. TK the owner is the worst at communication. I told him twice in person and once by text with drawings of where I wanted pump. He ignored all and put pump where he wanted it. He agreed to have pool parallel with fence but it is not parallel at all ( at least a 40 degree angle away from fence). He said he was going to be there on a Monday to back fill pool. He shows up on Mon checks for a leak and informs me he had a procedure to go to at doctor and did not do any backfilling. I would text asking for updates or when they will be back and was lucky if I could get a one or two word reply. He said he would be there Friday and did not show up or call. He would show up on the jobsite and leave without saying a word to me. I would have to stop him as he was driving away to get updates. Common time for them to even show up to start work was 2:oopm. and usually work till 6. They did stay till 8 and 9 pm a couple nights, but after starting at 2pm. His employees were all helpful and ready to answer questions, but try to get anything from him. I paid $850 to have 5x5 deck built. The deck is built and is very sturdy. i will get a measuring tape tonight because it is a very small 5x5. TK, on last day of install tells me, they undercharged me for the deck by $900. This is a nice deck, but $1700. He did not charge me the extra but not worth $1700. Be aware! We also kept getting emails showing we have earned stars with each purchase. I replied to their email twice asking what stars are for with no reply. I had to call after second time in store for chemicals. . TK's wife told me they are for purchases in store. I asked why this was not mentioned the two times we came in to get chemicals and paid full price. Her response was I needed to sign up. Why am I getting texts stating I have these stars if I have to sign up. As I stated in the start of this rant. We are pleased with the pool even if things were done different than what we wanted. I will change plans to fit what he built. The pool is beautiful. But the professionalism with TK pools is non existent and I would not recommend them at all.

I went to TK's today to ask about hot tubs and get a bucket of tablet's. I just had surgery so I'm…read moreon crutches. The lady who works there was very helpful and opened to door for me took care of all my questions and sold me a big bucket of 3 inch tablets. She too had surgery so can not lift anything so she said allow her to get a worker to lug the big bucket of tablets to my truck. It took about two minutes to get someone so no problem she told me to go ahead and go get in my truck so I did. This is where it went from 5 stars to 2. Her ( worker )husband brings the bucket to my truck I said you can put it in the back please. He just plops it on the ground next to my truck and muttered something about his wife can't do it because she had surgery and walks off with an attitude. So I hobble out and pick it up and hop to the bed of the truck to place it in the truck. I feel he should not have had an attitude and been so rude. I will be taking my business elsewhere. Thank you for reading.
