At 77yo, I enjoy the pool very much. Before my back surgery I was doing laps but had to back off that until Oct 15th. So I do physical therapy walking exercises in the pool for now. The water is always just the right temperature and it is always clean. Every one of the lifeguards are friendly and helpful and one of them always gets the door for me when I come in and out with my walker. The overall staff here are helpful, friendly and most importantly, patient. I want to mention in particular the custodial staff, who are responsible for keeping Monty Ballard in tip top condition. They are fast to clean up messes and keep on top of all the daily upkeep. All in all, I highly recommend this YMCA.

This Katy Cinco Ranch location is very family oriented and has plenty of space & equipment. I have yet to have any issues with waiting to use equipment even when it is busier. You will find a surplus of treadmills, free weights, squat racks, benches, and more for all your exercise needs. There is also a child care area available for the younger ones. In addition, they also have a gymnasium with multiple side rims, as well as both an indoor and outdoor pool. Other areas available include a stretch room, cycling room, group exercise room, and another smaller weight room. They have plenty of locker/storage space as well, located is some weight rooms, outside the restroom/pool area, and inside the restrooms as well (the ones in the restroom require your own lock). One of the things I love most is they have a water fountain with a filtered water bottle filler so I can bring my empty water bottle from home and fill it with water at the Y for my workout. Another thing I appreciate are the several sanitizing stations for your hands and for wiping down equipment. Overall I'm extremely happy with this Y. The staff are very friendly, they have plenty of parking and allow 3 free guest passes per year (my previous Y made you pay for all guest passes). The only slight negative I've found so far is that they don't provide basketballs for the gymnasium due to people not returning them, which is understandable. Thus, I highly recommend this YMCA!

Tuesday, they allowed me to attend and complete my workout without any incident. However, immediately afterward, management informed me that I am banned from returning solely because my ex-husband is a member here. Again, there has never been any issues or incidents there. Despite my mature and professional suggestion to only book into specific class times my ex does not attend to avoid any crossover, the owner flatly refused to cooperate, stating he has the right to run his business how he likes. They are choosing to arbitrarily deny corporate network benefits to visiting members based on petty, personal relationship status rather than actual gym behavior. Tuesday proved I can train here peacefully, yet management would rather be rigid gatekeepers than support a welcoming fitness community. To make matters worse, after arbitrarily banning me, the coach went so far as to post the class photo on their private, personal social media account with my face blocked out to gossip about the situation to their followers and other members. Completely toxic behavior and a gross violation of privacy by the staff. This will be reported to Corporate. If you value professional staff, reasonable management, and an actual welcoming and inclusive environment, look elsewhere. The lack of professionalism and sense of community at F45 Bella Terra goes against what F45 is supposed to represent. I highly recommend checking out F45 Cinco Ranch West instead, where the management actually focuses on fitness and treats paying members with respect. It is down the street, very welcoming and supportive, and absolutely AMAZING!!

When I first started, they helped me adjust some work outs as I got into the rhythm. My biggest tip when going in is don't feel like you need to keep up with every one else. Ask the trainer how you can adjust the work out that meets your needs. Now that I have been coming for about 9 months, I have grown to love the people who go to the gym there and the sense of community you feel. Shout out to Minh the owner who goes above and beyond to make sure everyone feels welcomed.

The gym is always well-maintained, and the equipment is modern, up to date, and suitable for all fitness levels. I would also like to recognize fitness coach Denise Murray for her outstanding professionalism and dedication. Denise is knowledgeable, motivating, and genuinely invested in her clients' success. Her guidance has helped me stay focused, committed to my fitness goals, and more confident in my overall health and wellness journey. The combination of a great facility and exceptional coaching makes 24 Hour Fitness Katy/Bella Terra an excellent place to work out. I highly recommend both the gym and Denise Murray to anyone seeking a positive and effective fitness experience.

It's open 24 hours, which is the best…read morepart about the facility in my opinion, because it's ideal for those who can only workout during non-traditional hours. There are numerous amenities available. These include: - A wide array of cardio machines including arc trainers, treadmills, recumbent bikes, spin bikes, stationary bikes, lateral ellipticals, ellipticals, stairmasters, AMT trainers, manual curved treadmills, two Torque tank wheeled push/pull sleds, and a traditional sled. - Free weights. Barbells, plenty of weight plates, dumbbells up to 120 lbs, kettlebells, cable stations with both 1:1 and 2:1 pulleys for lat pulldowns, seated rows, tricep extensions/pushdowns, lateral raises, and so on, and a wide selection of selectorized and plate-loaded machines with which you can target just about every muscle group. These include: smith machines, chest supported row machines, captain's chairs, decline benches, leg curls, leg extensions, a hack squat, various sorts of leg presses, ab machines, arm machines, shoulder machines, back machines, chest machines, all sorts of calf raises, and more. I believe they have exercise bands and medicine balls too. - I haven't been to the locker room and pool area much but I know that there's a pool here and I believe they might have a sauna too. It does tend to get quite crowded during the day, as most gyms like this do. This might not be ideal for those with any sort of neurodivergence or hypervigilance or sensory sensitivities. Which is why I choose to mainly go here between 11pm and 3am, as it's relatively less busy during these hours. Home gyms will forever be superior to public gyms in my opinion. I built mine during the pandemic and love it and I choose to lift weights and do calisthenics primarily in my garage. However, there is something about a large sports club/commercial gym that a garage gym can't quite replicate and that I was missing. So I decided to join this facility strictly to perform cardio. I've been thoroughly enjoying the treadmills, recumbent bikes, arc trainers, and sleds to improve my conditioning!! In conclusion, I'd recommend this gym. If this review helps a single person, then it was worth writing.

Late fee is $32 and if you have multiple cards on your account, the primary is locked because you're off shore due to work, YOU ARE still going to be charged the late fee $32 but the very next day they will charge any card on file and of course it goes through. Unfortunately they will not refund because per Villa Sport, "late fee is late fee". So people read your contract carefully because I also had to pay $80 to cancel the membership. Any other amenities you also have to pay more to add onto membership. Lifetime didn't give me all this hassle. Mind you I used the gym a few times per month when I would return back. It was so inconvenient that freezing also came with a specific time lock, 30 days. So if I arrived before the account would unfreeze I still couldn't use it. There are just more classes available in the day than nights. Wish there were more options for healthcare workers that work graveyard shifts.

I also like to take showers here lol I've never been to a gym and was excited to take a shower after working out in pool because most of the times gyms don't keep up their bathrooms . But not this gym.! They're about $10 a day which I pay because I don't have a membership and just can't afford one right now but I do come once a month. I do have a jump at my complex so I kind of just come here for the serenity of it.

This gym has truly become my second home and a haven for me this past year - let me tell you why…read more 1- From the get go, this place is BY FAR the CLEANEST gym that I have ever encountered amongst all the other gym chains + even other anytime fitness locations. The staff and owner are constantly making sure equipment is clean and reset for your needs. You walk in and the equipment/facility feels so well maintained and clean. 2- There's so much thought put behind making sure their customers have all their needs met. There's complimentary towels 24/7 both to clean equipment after using as well as for you to use during your workout. Also, there's a mini fridge full of cold peppermint towels to cool you down after a rough workout (which I thought was SO sweet and thoughtful- can you find this at any other gym?!). During staffed hours- all staff I have met have been so friendly and welcoming- which truly made me feel at home. 3- The community at this gym. Due to this being a smaller gym- you tend to see the same faces which in a way, makes the gym feel like a safe and tight knit community. The people here have also never hesitated to help me or others out (especially because I'm new to this whole gym world). The people here really do look after each other. 4- Lastly the personal training offered here is much more affordable than other places AND it has changed both my body and my life. My trainer Tiran has taught me SO MUCH about the world of fitness, exercises, and nutrition. He meets me where I am and also pushes me to my limits so I can get solid workouts in. Can't emphasize enough how awesome the trainers here are. TLDR: I really love this place and recommend it to everyone out there... but especially for those who want to be a part of a gym that truly values each and every member (which I feel like is lost/absent with bigger gyms like 24hr fitness and LA Fitness).

If you're looking for a gym that has completely redefined the phrase "standards have dropped," this…read moreis the place. Since the change in management, it seems the goal is to pack as many people in as possible, regardless of gym etiquette. Flip-flops and slides have apparently replaced workout shoes, sagging pants seem to be the unofficial dress code, and deodorant has become an optional accessory. Nothing says "fitness motivation" quite like dodging body odor while trying not to get an unintended view of someone's backside. As for management? The manager appears to have mastered the art of staying comfortably hidden in the office while the gym floor runs itself. If the objective was to create a "do whatever you want" atmosphere, mission accomplished. It's a shame, because this used to be a great gym. These days, quantity seems to matter far more than quality. Indeed, they should rename it "Anytime... Anything Goes Fitness."
