I have purchased several boats from this dealer. I send friends to purchase boats from this dealer. Since Covid they won't return your calls, they won't follow up on possible sales. I went in 3 separate times. My friends went in on numerous occasions. All CASH buyers. They got zero on sales service . One friend said I tried and they would not sell me a boat and I had cash in hand. No one would wait on him. I emailed pics of a possible trade like they ask. I even ask them to bring a new Boat down that "yes" it was what I wanted. NOTHING . As A business owner myself , I wonder how do you stay in business like this. Yes a grave reflection toward the owners. Well guys you have lost my business as well as my friends. I will help spread the word that you don't want to sell boats any longer. We bought a yamaha 242 from Texas Marine Beaumont on June 17, 2020. On June 21, 2020 we took it out for the first time and the boat started taking on water. I was able to get the boat to shore and realized the bilge pump wasn't working. When we took of the boat Thursday they said they put new batteries in for us. Upon making it to shore I discovered they did not reconnect the bilge pump wire back to the new batteries. Due to the boat taking on water and me trying to get to shore because there were 3 small children on the boat (6,2, and 1); water got in the engines and hydro-locked them. That was Father's day Sunday. I called our salesman Mike Monday morning and told him what happened. He stated they would come pick up the boat and make it right. After over a month of Texas Marine dragging their feet I ended up getting my insurance involved. We had a surveyor go out to determine the cause of the boat taking on water. The surveyor discovered a connector on a thru hole was over tightened and they cracked it. Bill the manager stated since the insurance totaled the boat we would get our money back as if the transaction never happened. Texas Marine hired their own surveyor who discovered the same thing, yet Texas Marine is denying any fault eventhough the boat was "inspected and lake ready". Here we are in November and they did not make it right. My insurance ended up paying the claim. Now I have a negative mark on my insurance and I'm out over $6,000 between my down payment, taxes, and payments made while wait on Texas Marine to "make it right". We are also out the money for the trailer. The cost of the trailer was not cover by insurance because it was not damaged. Now Texas Marine is telling me it is worth 50% less now than it was 4 months ago when we bought it. Do not buy a used boat from these people. They obviously do not know what they are doing when it comes to inspecting a boat or reconnecting wires when they disconnect them. Had they reconnected the bilge pump after they disconnected it my boat would not have been a total loss. They ended up costing me a lot of money and put the life of my family in danger. read more

Service department horrible with damaging boat and not installing things properly. my poor 5 and 6 year olds are scared to be on the boat now cause when i went to pull them on the new tow bar it pulled out the deck and went to the bottom of the lake tied up still. unsafe and good thing we wasn't moving more than 10 mph. my boat has been damaged on two different occasions from this Beaumont location. would be nice to give 5 stars and be happy about using the boat you spent 45K on but not the case. used to send people here but will not for sure from now on. read more

The service department is terrible. I took my boat here for maintenance and some repairs. The service department failed to reinstall the ski tower correctly, rendering it loose and unsafe. When I tried to take the boat back to have them fix it, no one was working in the service department even though the person who answered the main line told me that the service department was open and it was during their business hours. I will not be going back here. read more

I have a 2000 Yamaha outboard 225 OX66, before I purchased the motor (from a personal seller) I brought it in to have compression tested & lower unit looked at. My tech Dennis was very knowledgeable on the motor, he let me know there were a few minor things that needed to be addressed but overall it was a good motor. After installed the motor on my boat I had a couple issues come up, I was concerned but after talking with service again, Dennis gave me some pointers on what to look for. He was right & now the motor is running great. read more

I've been holding off on posting this in case someone in management contacted me to resolve, or, at least, respond to my concerns. They haven't. I can't tell you how hard it is to use family language here. In January, I took my boat into Texas Marine for a "Spring Service". Change the oil, check bilge and water pump and check batteries/charging system. I was specific on that last item, and it was part of the work order - check batteries and charging system. After a week they called me and told me my boat was ready. We had 2 weeks of bad weather predicted so I decided to have them perform a couple of upgrades. I had a stereo installed and a new Talon Shallow Water Anchor. The work was completed just in time for a rare January weekend of mild weather. I was alone so I just tied the boat to the side of the dock and bumped it off of the trailer while I parked my truck. When I got into the boat to head out, the motor wouldn't crank. Completely dead. Fortunately, I was wearing waders so I hopped into the water and hand loaded it back onto the trailer and drove straight back to Texas Marine. They told me that they had checked everything and I had probably run the battery down listening to the new stereo. Ok, unlikely, but not impossible. I took it home and put the charger on it. No good. I took it back to Texas Marine and dropped it off, asking them to double check everything. I got a call a few days later that I had a "bad cell" and needed a new battery. Riiiight. They installed it and I picked it up. No discounts, no explanation. A couple of weeks later we got another break in the weather (although a little breezy) and I headed back out to Sabine Lake. Headed to Johnson Bayou area, set the Talon, dropped the trolling motor and sat down to tie on a lure. I looked up and I was being blown into the shoreline. I hopped up and turned the trolling motor to full and... nothing. I used the big motor to get back into the middle of the lake and found that not only was my trolling motor dead but the Talon had never deployed. I drifted for a few minutes but had lost my desire to fish that day. I took it back to Texas Marine (4th visit in 4 weeks) and told them about my problems as well as a new one - when driving across the lake, the console depth finder/plotter would power off constantly. When sitting still, it didn't happen. Ok. At this point, I know that someone screwed up my electrical system and shorted something. Most of you suspect the same thing. I got the call. The charger was malfunctioning and draining the batteries. Easy fix. The Talon, on the other hand, needed to be sent back for repairs. They had it for about a month. When I picked it up they had only charged me $1030.00. That's right, two batteries and a charger at list price and full labor. I was told I was lucky that the Talon was warranty (it's never worked!) and the problem with the chart plotter is that it's old. They power down when moving when old. While waiting to pay, the kind lady reminded me that I would need to pair the remote to the Talon. Seriously, after everything I've been through, knowing they keep damaging my boat, they leave a little extra something for me to do. Anyway, there's only one credit card machine so I hooked my boat up and went back inside to pay. When I went back out, there was a tech in my boat. Working on the Talon. The brand new it's never deployed, Talon. I laughed, dropped my tailgate and sat down to watch. 35 minutes. That's how long I sat in the service drive while they worked on my boat. I didn't even ask what they were doing. I wanted nothing else but to leave and never come back. Even if there is an electrical problem when I next take it out, I'll burn it to the trailer before I set foot back in Texas Marine. I don't care if there's another warranty problem with my Talon, I'll tie a rope to it and use it as a weight. They messed up. The tech knows it, the service manager probably knows it and not one person has said anything except sorry. I left word for someone in management to call me with multiple employees. Not a word. I'm not angry at having to spend money. I'm angry because I have very specific concerns and complaints and nobody will address them. That explains the service I got. It's a company-wide attitude. read more

When I was in the process of buying my Nautic Star, you called me out of the blue just to make sure everything was going good. You mentioned something about "Inspecting what Texas Marine Expects..." I like that, and you also said if I ever had an issue that required a little extra help, or if I just wanted to "Brag on Texas Marine and it's employees", that you would love to hear that also. This email is to brag. From the first visit where I met Jerry Spiller, who turned out to be the store manager, and through the entire process, it was a great experience! I normally do not have time in my life to do surveys, and things like this, but Texas Marine deserves the credit. I find it rare nowadays for "Above and Beyond" what is necessary, but Texas Marine, Jerry Spiller, and every person I have dealt with has been great. Texas Marine is HORRIBLE LIARS!!!! I brought my boat in due to the motor not working and an estimate for the trailer fender that I damaged. Got the boat back 2wks later went out to the lake got STRANDED in the middle of the lake and while stranded we noticed a hole in the canopy look like someone drug it down the road. After spending 200$ at walmart in Jasper we got the boat running for the weekend. Brought the boat in Tues. July 5th to have them fix it right and take care of the canopy the service manager Chris said he would take care of everthing! Needless to say picking up today he refused to do anything about the canopy, took our prop off our boat which we bought from yamaha for $400 put a cheaper one on. We will find out this weekend if the motor runs! Then they (Chris and the manager) called my husband told them I was not allowed at their facility because I tried to run them over and I cussed them for everything they were worth WHICH IS A LIE! ONE THING I CAN'T STAND IS A LIAR AND THAT IS WHAT THESE PEOPLE ARE! read more
