Great customer service from the gentleman that assisted me. Came in to get a cheesecake for my husband's birthday. A friend recommended this place to me. Truly did not disappoint. Did not get opportunity to take a picture of the cheesecake but it had such rich flavor and had the right consistency. I also decided to try the cupcake and that buttercream icing was to die for. I got a pumpkin bread for my mom and she is truly very picky since she is a baker herself....she said it was a 10! Highly recommend this place. Still on the fence with them. I dropped in and got a few pastries one midday. i was not very impressed with the customer service at first...however by the time I left it went from poor to the acceptable transactional. They have a big selection of pies and cakes to be cooked on demand, not too many availble premade and the ones on display looked to have been there a few days already. I do like that they have a number of fruit pies available in 2 hours and the cakes have a fairly quick turnaround. I ended up selecting a quiche and essentially two types of cinnamon rolls, which one was the traditional and the other had an apple filling they called a "rose" or "flower" cant recall. Quiche was delicious and so was the traditional cinnamon roll, I would pass on the apple filled one in the future, had this strong bitter flavor that was off putting, possibly too much lemon. As of now its average, I'll hold off a final verdict until i try a pie and a cake. read more

Oh my goodness, thanks neighbors for suggesting the Texas Bakery! I was nearly craving a well frosted and pretty cake for days till I finally got one. It was Sunday so there wasn't so much to choose from. But I could have special ordered one had I thought to! I just got lucky, they are open Saturdays & Sundays till 3 And there are cupcakes if you don't want a full cake. But we just celebrated our 31st wedding anniversary so I wanted a full cake and had no time to bake my own. So, thanks! The location is fine just on the very busy Lake Houston Pkwy and near 1960. Stopped in for breakfast pastries. Love supporting small local businesses! The folks in back were hard at work making a multilevel cake. Overall the place is very small and the selection of ready made breakfast treats is limited. It was a weekday morning, so maybe they have more choices on the weekend? Got a couple of cherry danishes that were very good and a bacon kolache that was also good but a little dry. Would definitely come back on a Saturday to try some more goodies! read more

We picked our cake up and not even five minutes into the car ride, the layers began to shift. We weren't holding it at an angle or anything, so this was incredibly frustrating. We put it into our fridge in hopes it would stay together but it split after a few hours. This was a $70 cake. This should not be happening. It was still 100% edible, so that wasn't disappointing. My wife and I stopped in the other day after happening to see it passing by on West Lake Houston. We were very pleasantly surprised when we walked in, greeted by shelves of delicious looking brownies and a display full of pies, cakes, pastries, cupcakes, and delicious bite sized cream horns which admittedly I ate before we got home. Hidden gem in Atascocita. Love this little Bakery. The owners are very friendly and the pastries are delicious! We just got some lemon berry tarts and a Strawberry/ Blueberry Pie for Memorial Day Weekend . My favorites during the week include the butter croissant, chocolate croissant , bear claws and more. I placed an order with Texas Made Bakery for my birthday cake. I didn't want a cake from the store. I was searching for that authentic bakery style cake. What I wanted I didn't see on their menu. So I placed a custom order for a white cake with Bavarian creme and cherry filling with whipped cream instead of icing. This cake was every bit of exquisite yet refreshing without being overly sweet. The texture of the cake was so fluffy. Everyone that was lucky to get a taste couldn't stop talking about how delicious it was. It's not on the menu but I'll call it the KeKe's Delight cake. I had no idea this place existed until this weekend when my lovely neighbors threw us a baby shower and had beautiful delicious cakes from Texas made bakery! Everyone was inquiring about where they got them!! The pink one was white chocolate raspberry and was so delicious, dense and moist! I searched for a place that would make a cake that looks like picture my daughter sent me for her 16th birthday. I called since their website kept giving me error messages after filling out form(6 attempts) and submitting picture. I texted picture as I was on phone with them. they received the picture and said they could do no problem. My husband and daughter picked it up the morning of her birthday and it looked Nothing like the picture. the message was wrong. The shape was wrong(should've been a heart). They didn't include cherries which I was told they would. The colors did not match at all. they got the flavor of cake, icing and spelling of name correct. I Never leave reviews but if anyone else is looking for a custom cake, I recommend to pass on this place. overpriced and daughter was disappointed for her sweet 16th birthday. read more

Very cute little bakery, new to the area. Husband said the kolache he tried was very good. We also tried two cupcakes (German Chocolate & Italian Creme) but they were extremely dry and crumbly. Unfortunately, they looked lot better than they tasted. Pecan chew cookie was a strange consistency, also. Again, looked a lot better than it tasted. Husband also tried the red velvet and sugar cookies. Those were pretty good, but not better than Great American Cookie down the street. Glad we gave them a try. I bought a vanilla and a strawberry cake, which were both very good. It's a very nice small business which was nicely decorated and well kept and taken care of! We discovered this place about two weeks ago. Had the pleasure of meeting Richard and discussed how he started. Super nice guy and knowledgeable about his craft. We've order 4 pies in the last 2 weeks and and they all were delicious. The apple pie filling and crust had the prefect balance between sweet and cinnamon. Ordered a week in advance and paid... went to pick up for Thanksgiving and no pies were made for my order! Help was unhelpful, unapologetic and couldn't care less. It ruined my dessert bar and I was very upset but the owner was in back screaming... they kept telling me a ordered a pie with a totally different name and when I pointed to their menu board and said there it is... that's the pie I ordered he just shrugged! I ordered pies the week before Thanksgiving for pick up the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. I had tried to make payment prior to picking up my order. The PayPal option was not working on the website. I contacted the bakery to see if I could pay over the phone I was told my order was cancelled. I was told they tried to contact me yet I have no missed calls, no voice message.
