I'm so glad I did! When I walked in, it was pretty quiet, and I was immediately greeted very warmly. The owner was there and shared with me that they have actually been in the area for several years. The shop itself is a really nice little bakery with so many different sweets and desserts to choose from. I was surprised to also see that they offer lunch items like sandwiches, including chicken salad, along with a few other savory options. Of course, I came for something sweet! They had cookies, brownies, cupcakes, peach cobbler, apple cobbler, and so many other desserts, but I decided to try the mini sweet potato pie. It was EXCELLENT! What stood out to me the most was the texture of the sweet potato filling. It was incredibly smooth, creamy, and had such a delicious flavor. That little pie was so good, and it definitely made me want to come back and try more of their desserts. I love finding local places like this, especially ones that have been right in the community and somehow slipped under my radar. As I turned I saw a huge American cockroach walk from behind a table and make its way towards the front door. That freaked me out but I do understand that it's Texas and even the cleanest of homes/businesses will get an American or two. Complete my transaction and notice the cockroach has now crawled up the door frame of the front door. I push it open slowly as not to have fly on me and as I start to walk out one of the ladies that was handling food behind the counter swats at it and eventually knocks it down with her gloved hand. I walk to my car and place the food on the roof and start to open my door. I see the same woman go directly back to her task without changing the damn gloves she touched a cockroach with seconds earlier. I picked up the food and immediately dumped it all in the trash. Never going back.

I don't come often because parking is always a nightmare, and tonight was no exception. When I showed them the app, the staff seemed confused on how to do a redemption. So they had to call the owner for help. The owner apparently told them not to honor the redemption because they were in the process of switching rewards program platforms, and what used to be a 50‑point reward was going to be a 300‑point reward. The staff said my points would transfer eventually, but I only will have 63 -- not enough under the new system. Hey, I'm no entrepreneur. But I am a customer who eats out all the time. And to me this is a textbook example of an owner who doesn't get customer service. I drove all the way there, dealt with the parking, and came specifically to redeem a reward that still showed as valid in their app. It's not my fault their system hadn't switched over yet. These cakeball and truffle treats are only the size of a donut hole. It's not one of their higher end desserts. The obvious right move would've been to honor the reward and give the customer the treat. But nope. They chose the stingy route instead. And with that one decision, they lost another customer.
