First and last time! Over priced, what I would get and pay $14 at Donald's Donuts I payed $20 here. NEVER AGAIN.

I dropped in for the first time in a long time today. Todays visit solidified me never returning. Upon entering the place you are greeted by the usually stare...then.... "Hi, how can I help?" In the most "what da fuq you want?" tone and body language coming from a person with chronic RBF. I was hurriedly badgered into ordering like it's a line out the door whilst being he only gawd damn customer in the place. I was hesitant to get anything as I saw fruit flies in the jelly donut area of the display case but eventually ordered a kolache and a dozen glazed. As I turned I saw a huge American cockroach walk from behind a table and make its way towards the front door. That freaked me out but I do understand that it's Texas and even the cleanest of homes/businesses will get an American or two. Complete my transaction and notice the cockroach has now crawled up the door frame of the front door. I push it open slowly as not to have fly on me and as I start to walk out one of the ladies that was handling food behind the counter swats at it and eventually knocks it down with her gloved hand. I walk to my car and place the food on the roof and start to open my door. I see the same woman go directly back to her task without changing the damn gloves she touched a cockroach with seconds earlier. I picked up the food and immediately dumped it all in the trash. This was our go to spot but after Covid it seems the management changed - every visit is a stressful experience. The staff is usually on FaceTime w someone throughout the visit, she is very abrupt , we feel rushed and as if we are bothering her. What's meant to be a fun trip for donuts feels like a form of punishment. Hoping the previous staff returns. Maple donuts are great though. read more

After my breakfast taco next door I needed something sweet to wash it down. How convenient, a donut shop just next door. I whip out the phone to check out the yelp reviews. Hmmm very middle of the road and not welcoming staff. Uh-oh. I go in nevertheless and the woman behind the corner was super bubbly with smiles and hi how are you. I selected my favorite - a chocolate filled donut and I decide to eat in the shop to observe further interactions. Solid flow of customers even at 9:30 am on a weekday, and many regulars as the woman knew what they liked. Each of the dozen of interactions I saw she had a big smile and warm greeting, so I could only conclude it must be a different person working the counter from earlier reviews. Now on to the food. Granted I only had one donut. But it's my pet peeve test donut because not everyone makes it good. Dunkin Donuts and Shipley's typically fill like one quarter of the donut with chocolate, if that. Like literally one squirt from the Nazi donut maker. The one I had here was literally oozing with filling. Yes! Will I be back? Well I'm diabetic now from my years of childhood gluttony, so I gotta eat this stuff in moderation. But when I feel a cheat coming, I know where to go. It's convenient, fresh and they greeted me with a big smile. read more

The lady is so rude, it makes for a very uncomfortable experience every single time. Donuts and kolaches are okay as this is one of the only places with boudin kolaches near me I've found, but honestly there are several local business who are happy to receive business rather than treat their customers as an inconvenience. read more

It's not like there's a shortage of donut shops around here. Typical small donut shop: fresh donuts, nonexistent decor, and you're unlikely to see another customer in the shop unless it's Sunday morning even though they've been there forever. My favorite memory of Westco Donuts: Second Semester senior year we had a substitute teacher for band one morning (so study hall for 60 kids scattered all over the place) So rather than sit around and be bored a few senior friends and I decided to sneak out and go to Westco to get donuts. We successfully got out, to Westco and back in without anyone the wiser, except the Freshman who couldn't fathom how we'd suddenly acquired donuts in the middle of band. Eh, donuts. I don't really like them but my kids do. They have decent breakfast tacos, but nothing special just plain old tiny ones. They're nice and quick with the orders and have kolaches if you like that also. My kids get a variety of donuts and have yet to be disappointed. Hardly any parking though, and no drive thru. read more

Not much in terms of atmosphere or warm greetings but pretty good donuts. Went to Westco 3 mornings in a row while on vacation. Each time I felt like I was inconveniencing the staff to place an order. So, final review would be good donuts, reasonably priced for the area but looking for a little more love! read more

Meh donut shop. The chocolate icing is AWFUL. It tastes like it has a solvent in it. Kolachies are reheated in a microwave.

I've been coming here for years and they have pretty good donuts but not the best in the area. I also feel they are small compared to some but haven't done a cost per ounce comparison or anything. They do get busy in the mornings and parking can sometimes be scarce. One thing about the place I find interesting is that with the HPD station only a block away, I don't recall ever seeing a cop in here. read more

Love this donut shop! I had not been here in awhile and dropped in on a whim this morning for breakfast. Very clean place, organized looking, and friendly service. I had a white cream filled and a blueberry donut. The white cream filled was crazy good! Will go back again, soon! read more
