The guys are eager to load the car for me. However, on bagged soil amendments they tend to be water logged most of the time and, therefore they should consider building a warehouse to keep the bags out of the elements.

Every single time I go I find incredibly unique items. They have all of the standard bedding plants, trees, shrubs, roses, etc. What sets this place apart is ALL of the rest. I have found something here literally every time that I have never seen before. Their prices are incredibly reasonable and my plants have always been healthy and happy. If I had a truck I'd be bringing home even more things. You can find 7-15' trees and shrubs for about an incredible value. Their standard bedding plants are $2.49. They do have a large variety of pots, garden accessories, water fountains, etc. For our native plant garden enthusiasts you will find everything you need here, including native milkweed. I have never had a problem with the service. But you do need to go and ask if you have questions or need help. They have always been great to me. If you are used to someone following you around to shop, just understand that won't happen here. I also frequent Warren's, they are lovely, it's simply a different experience. Do: Come early, it's huge and you'll want to take your time. Wear your gardening shoes, the paths are wet and have soil on them. Ask if you have a question or don't see a price sticker. Bring your water and prepare accordingly for outside temps in TX. No, they do not have a restroom. Which is NOT uncommon with our local nurseries. Just plan accordingly and you will be so thrilled you did. The driveways are easy to miss, go very slow on the approach. There are two driveway/entrances and two parking areas. There is ample parking, it just looks a bit daunting at first. This is truly a rare gem. It has everything you could want for all of our hearts desires. If it's rare, hard to find, unique or fun, you're more likely to find it here than anywhere else I've been in HOU or SA. Do yourself a favor and drop by.

I contacted Yard Birds to come to my house to fix a sprinkler system. I was misinformed by another…read morecompany as to what the issue was. Yard Birds owner took the time to explain to me where my problem could actually be coming from. He promptly sent his crew to diagnose the issue. Jack and his partner arrived and worked hard digging holes to locate the broken wire. Jack clearly explained to me my options and his plan since the broken wire was determined to be either under a large tree root system or beneath the pool deck. They came back the next day when they said they would and ran wire, covered all the holes, and checked the entire system out. You could tell they were being really respectful of the property and trying their best to fill and level the ground to make it look good. They even used some of the dirt to go to an area where they noticed erosion and filled that in too. I have used Yard Birds multiple times in the past 25 years. They are a dependable quality company with a reputation that you can count on.

I'll never do that again. I'll just do it myself. They were finishing up for the day and the owner conveniently forgot the payment type. He stated he forgot his card reader and would bring it tomorrow. He then stated via text that he was only accepting zelle. When I showed him our conversation via email of the payment, he said he didnt remember the conversation that was clearly in email. I asked them to stop the work and leave all the caulking and power washing behind since I paid for it. Im not sure why they told my friend that I stopped the work. He doesnt own this home and has no say so on what projects I pay for at my home. Overall, they did a good job of what was actually finished but unfortunately, I dont like people that lie or "conveniently get amnesia." As much as I like to support small businesses, this was an upset for me.

After agreeing to the price, hecame out the same day and was able to take a pile of bricks and lay them out back neatly onto the walkway. The work was done so fast, and looks incredible.
