How nice it is that T&T Tree Service is still in business since 1980, they have done all of our tree work. Tim Jennings is still in charge and shows no signs of slowing down. We had a large oak in our front yard that took a beating from Beryl last year. We had tree company guys knocking at our door quite often saying they could remove the tree, the prices they quoted were very high. I called Tim to come take a look at the tree. Rather than suggest removing it, he said the tree was still healthy but needed to have dead branches and broken limbs removed. One branch had even grown out to the street light and was resting on the arm going out from the pole. Tim's crew not only cleaned up that tree but also took dead limbs and suckers from other oaks and sweet gums making our house look better with more curb appeal. And his price was so reasonable. One of the most beneficial things they do is "open up" the insides of the trees (most of ours are live oaks and water oaks, but we also have a magnolia and crepe myrtle) to help optimize the amount of sunlight that gets to the yard itself. One of the problems in our tract home subdivision (Woodridge Forest, Porter) is that the original landscapers overplanted live oak trees, so as they grow, less and less sunlight gets to the grass: eventually, instead of a lush lawn, you end up with mostly dirt.

DO NOT TRUST THEIR WORK…read more Sure, they may sucker you in with their deceptive professionalism and competitive pricing and responsiveness. But once you have hired them for more than one job, you'll see their real deal. They are SHADY and lazy. They would STEAL one of my steel T-posts after I told them no when they asked for one multiple times while they were working on my yard (I had several lying around). Only reason why I found out was because I needed to borrow one of their tools after they were about finished and they pointed me to one of their trailers, and the dad thought I'd caught him so he handed me my T-post from his trailer. Let me explain the LAZY part. I'd told them specifically to grind the crepe myrtle roots and stumps really well after they cut them down, because I knew too well how invasive these can be. They said sure sure. Days later and now 4 months later, I'm still dealing with all the huge roots left from the crepe myrtles and bushes they left me with because they were too lazy to grind them well. I also think it's partly because they didn't want to dull their machine etc. Reason why I say that is because I'd asked them 3-4 times while they were working to GIVE ME THE MULCH from the stump grinding etc. They said OK OK. At the end, they gave me nothing. I asked them, where's my mulch...They were like, how much you want? Then reluctantly scooped up a wheelbarrow or two at like 7pm...then said they'd give me pure mulch from their jobs later on (didn't want to stay later). I said, why didn't you grind them and give me the mulch while you were working? Kevin said they didn't want to use their machine too much. So, there you go. They did two jobs for me, over $2000 each time. I spent pretty pennies on them and that's what I got. I debated for a long time whether I should write this because I wanted to let bygones be bygones and not ruin someone's business but I'm too upset. And the world needs to know the truth. You, their potential customers, should know. GO WITH SOMEONE ELSE.

The trimmer crew was very professional - they had hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, boots, and all the right safety equipment - you would have thought I hired the Forestry service - which is what they could be but us regular ol' homeowners get to hire them! The best part was they didn't hurt any of my delicate plants below and they cleaned up meticulously. My tree canopies have never looked this nice. The owner Mike gave me a free estimate and the crew went far above and beyond what I expected. I need more great experiences like this especially when it comes to my yard!
