But the "lenders", per DDM, were having difficulty approving both car loans. The other dealer who we purchased from never mentioned this. DDM wanted us to bring the car back 2 days after we dove it home, or else they'd have it repossessed and we would not get our $4000 cash down payment. My husband decided to pay the full amount in cash to the other dealership for their car he got from them, instead of finance. That way the financing with DDM could/should be approved. Later on we found out he was approved for both cars. When the plates came in via UPS, the envelope was missing the registration sticker. My husband called and spoke to Maria, who proceeded to say "Oh our title person would never do that." The worse part was the defensiveness and the bad attitude. She hung up in my husbands face after saying "I'll tell someone" without taking his name! So we drove 40 minutes from NW Houston, where we live, to go see if we would get better assistance face to face. They gave me a print out or photocopy of the registration receipt and went on to make excuses about the missing sticker. Saying "We wouldn't know where to send it without the paper attached" "We put it in the envelope the way it comes to us". I explained the envelope didn't even include a rubber band lol. Not registration receipt or sticker. He didn't care. The gentleman who never gave me his name was only on the defense and I left feeling like my business was not appreciated and valued. Question DDM: So how did you get a photocopy of the receipt without taking the registration paper off the license plates? Is there a chance you were careless and forgot to reattach it to the plates? And why not satisfy the customer by acknowledging the mistake and offer to pay the $50+ for the sticker replacement. The owner/manager didn't even acknowledge my presence. And yes I yelled and raised my voice because I didn't want to hear that you would never mail plates without a registration sticker because it's "rubber banded together". That's insulting my intelligence and insinuating that the mistake was mine and I'm a liar. Do not purchase a car here if you would not want the feeling of working with shady business people.

Emilio the sales person was great communicating. We agree to a number I would be comfortable agreeing to before driving 3 1/2 hrs to their dealer. I get to the dealer and the car is not even there. I get to sit around for 15-20 min because the car is still getting an oil change when I get there. After them knowing I was on my way and knowing around what time I was gonna get there. They finally pull the car around. The car has a hit that was not shown in pictures. The windshield has 2 very sizable chips and the tires are dated to 2023 but they feel like hockey pucks due to how dry rotted and cracked they are. Obviously no one in their right mind is gonna agree to pay 30k for a car that needs at the most minimum a new windshield and tires. Robert, the terrible manager there or whatever position he holds. Explains to me that even though those things were not disclosed and are not able to be noticed in a picture. He will absolutely not help me at all in price because he had already brought it down before I agreed to drive out. So obviously im getting pissed. Out of state buyers, don't rely on all of the 5 star reviews and their inspection sales pitch. Our…read moreexperience as an out-of-state buyer with Texas Car Club has been extremely disappointing. What should have been an exciting purchase has turned into a nearly two-month process that is still unresolved. We've had ongoing issues obtaining the vehicle title and receiving temporary tags, creating unnecessary stress and making it difficult to legally drive the truck, multiple times. All communication has been very difficult - nearly every update required us to chase down answers ourselves, with multiple calls and messages going unanswered. The condition of the truck upon delivery also did not match what was advertised. Despite Texas Car Club's claims of a thorough inspection and detailing process, the truck arrived with a dead battery needing to be replaced, a headlight that needed to be replaced, and an interior that was noticeably dirty along with other issues not mentioned when asked during the buying process. The transport driver even told us the truck had to be jump-started just to get it on and off the transport trailer, making it difficult to believe these issues weren't well known before it left the dealership. Buying a vehicle from out of state requires a great deal of trust because you can't inspect the vehicle or handle the transaction in person. Unfortunately, that trust was never established with Texas Car Club. Between the unresolved title and temporary tag issues, the condition of the truck upon arrival, and the lack of follow-through after the sale, we have been left feeling unsupported throughout the process. As for the IKON technology - do not fall for that either. Once I challenged the $1,100 added fees for an after market and unadvertised item, they said it would be removed for $700 due to the 3 hours of labor. I received the vehicle with it still on. I removed it myself in under 5 minutes. While we like the truck itself, the overall buying experience has been frustrating. We hope Texas Car Club improves its inspection standards, communication, and post-sale support so future out-of-state customers have a better experience than we did.
