The owner and head cook came out and chatted with us for a while, he actually wanted to know what we thought of the meatloaf saying it was a new recipe. His wife bakes all the desserts except the cream pies, which he prepares. I had the Keylime pie, yum! I would have gladly eaten a whole pie! My wife said her hot peach cobbler was to die for. The owner said he'd put their chicken-fried steak up against anyone's. I think we'll have to check that out next time we're in Texarkana. We will definitely be back. The fries were only single-fried, but were cut thick enough that they tasted good (especially when dipped in there positively delicious homemade ranch... seriously, all the World Cup tourists who've fallen in love with ranch need to find this spot). We'll definitely be returning as we pass through Texarkana fairly regularly going to visit relatives in AR.
