Got take out. The food was good. Couldn't find the normal menu online so I took these pictures.

    Love this rocking chair!

Great customer service and food. You get a lot of food for the price! We will definitely be back! John the manager and Hannah the server took great care of us!

A great local spot. I've only ever eaten breakfast here, but they do also serve lunch and dinner. Wonderful staff and a great atmosphere. If you're looking for something that's not a mainstream restaurant with great service, this is an excellent pick. My only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is because of portion size. In my opinion, the portion sizes are smaller than other places that are within their price point.

Do you like Chicken Fried Steak? If so, this is the place to go in Texarkana. This is what I call a "chicken fried steak"! If it's not bigger than your plate, it's not a chicken fried steak. The only place I know of in this area that has them this big and this good is Texas Chuck Wagon! It was a great meal, with awesome service, and not crowded. Yep, I ate it all!

I got the Texas sized chicken fried steak and my wife ordered the hamburger steak. Both our sides and rolls were barely warm but our steaks were hot. I had a unsweet tea that was very weak for $2. I should of got free water like my wife. We also ordered take outs for our dinner later that day. I got the John Wayne double meat burger for $13, no fries with it. When I got home later that day I noticed it was dry, no BBQ sauce like the menu said it would come with. My wife got a brisket taco special ($10). that came with 2 small tacos, a side of corn and fries but she notice the Pico was missing. Waitress was very friendly but never checked back on us or I would have ordered a different drink. $50 not including tip.

Chicken fried steak and eggs, biscuit and gravy, no knife needed

Friendly neighborly great coffee affordable excellent portions. Texas kind of place old westerns on the TV

The food is home cooked ! Breakfast food served in the mornings ,daily lunch specials and on Tuesday nights they have steak and shrimp special. They usually have a different dessert each day. Menu and daily items to choose from. Family and busy workers like to eat at this friendly restaurant.

My husband ordered the liver and absolutely loved it, which says a lot because it's not easy to find it done right. I had the chicken fried chicken with gravy, and it was delicious, comfort food at its best. Everything was seasoned and spiced to perfection, flavorful without being overwhelming. This is the kind of diner that feels familiar and satisfying, with food that tastes homemade and consistently good. A must-stop if you're traveling through Texarkana and craving classic Southern comfort food.

It has nostalgic decor with a combination of booths and tables. At the height of lunch hour it was very busy but we were promptly seated and served. We happen to be driving through Texarkana at lunchtime and remembered that we had friends from our town, which is an hour away, that rave about it and occasionally for an outing will drive to Texarkana just to eat lunch. I had fried chicken livers, cabbage and the twice baked potato while my husband had the chicken fried chicken. My potato was just average but the fried livers and cabbage were excellent. We both enjoyed our food very much and I appreciated the fact that the tea glasses were large enough that I didn't have to ask for refills. One review complained that there weren't very many chicken livers. I only had about seven livers myself, but they were so huge that I ended up making two meals out of it. We thought the food was very reasonably priced and some of the meals even come with half portions. My husband actually got the half order of the chicken fried chicken and it was still plenty of food.
