I work for company called Petrolex Acidizing in 2022 we recently bought 4 brand new 389 Peterbilt…read morewhich is very exciting me and the company. Me and the sales rep worked a lot together on figuring out a good maintenance and the warranties. After discussing all that we ending buying extended warranty in case we need it. Few years go by, and we had an issue with a turn signal not working on it so and I deicide to take the unit to Lubbock Rush truck center. Once a tech was available, they said they had to replace a module for the lights. Of course this was covered under warranty. there were some miss communications. Before this unit was repaired the one was the unit sat there for a week until I called and checked the status on the unit and the service department had no clue on why that unit was there, mind you I called them and told them the unit is heading there way with these issues please call me if you have any question and they never called until I called. In which I deal with allot of venders, so I get things happen at times. Now I am one with that has a lot of patience but currently I am dealing with a really bad experience for one I sent another unit 2 weeks ago for the same familiar issues as the first one well it goes in and of course there a line of trucks ahead of mine which I get. Once my truck was brought into the shop the noticed that the coolant sensor is not reading properly and a def sensor " do you want us to fix it" and I said yes, but can you check the warranty maybe is covered they seemed very bother when I asked for the warranty I never got a yes its covered or a no its not covered. I did get an estimate for $2000 and at the time we needed the truck I figured I call about it later. Well, they finally call and tell me my truck is ready I send my guys to go pick it up upon arriving my guys do a pre-trip and noticed that the turn signal was still not fixed. So, my guy went back in to tell them and according to both my employee that were very upset with my guys that nobody has said anything or mention anything about a turn signal at the end the service department and service manager was very unprofessional So, my guys call me, and I tell them they just leave the truck there I will call them well when I called them and explained the situation she said okay will check it but I also mentioned that we had a familiar issue and it was a module but I also mentioned that don't you guys do like a check before and after repairs and she said yes they do a express check and I guess it wasn't done on my truck. Anyways a few days go by, and I get an Email requesting PO, so I opened up the quote and the total amount was 12K!?!?!!?!? to fix a turn signal........ Of course, I called and spoke with the service adviser hey is this under warranty and immediately said nope!! also said that this is what it needs to get fixed and if I have a problem with call the warranty person, said it needs all new harness for the turn signal. I even tried talking to him, can you try to do an over lay and immediately no. Now I was in shock for the price and his tone especially coming from Peterbilt. just to put things right my truck only has 68000 miles on it year is 2023 but to pay 12k to fix a turn signal is unreal For anyone reading this please avoid the Peterbilt in Lubbock for service I am currently taking my unit out of that shop to another shop that is more professional and more understanding. but very poor performance very poor commination.

I called them and asked to make and appointment to have a Preventative maintenance done. which entails, oil change, primary and secondary fuel filters, lube bumper to bumper. First, I told them not to worry about the air filter i could replace it myself plus it was good for another several months but they replaced. at a unreasonable price. so I bring my truck in first thing the next morning after telling what I wanted the day before. I leave and around 1pm they call me to say we DO NOT HAVE OIL and will have to keep the truck till next day. Wow! incompetent people. Do not even check inventory the day beforehand? The next day late in the afternoon I pick it up and I open the hood all the wiring is unclipped and all over the place and a clamp is missing. Of course they say it was not there but I do post and pre trip inspections so I know it was there. The mechanic was a young kid that had no idea what he is doing. That is who the trust your truck with incompetent young kids with no supervision. Also they charge way above normal prices for parts. a filter costs $68 that charges $91 if they put it on. The same filter is you buy the part from them to put in yourself they charge $180! This place is a mess the manager does not even know anything as a mechanic. If you want to be ripped off and have unqualified people work on your truck this is the place to go. John Connolly
