Since Midland is 2 hours from Lubbock, Ryan (the owner) wanted to fill a Midland day so they could come down and clean our carpets. We weren't in a huge rush so the nearly 4 week wait was ok with us. Ryan and his helper (sorry, can't recall his name) were great! They were very professional and friendly. And the best part... Elite Steam did a FANTASTIC job on our bedroom carpets. Our 3 little monsters did a number on the carpets with their snacks and drinks. I'd say about 98% of the stains came out. There were a few stains that had already been set in... probably due to me TRYING various stain removal products on them only to not remove the stain. (Note: Ryan recommends only water and vinegar to remove stains.) Oh, and I LOVE the smell of their cleaner. So fresh and clean. We definitely recommend Elite Steam!

One bedroom had severe spot issues with cat vomit and smell, and they cleaned it efficiently and got most of the smell out of all the carpets. The total price was $338, extremely reasonable for four rooms with cleaning, vacuuming, and deodorizing. They even provided a complementary pet deodorizer for our new residence! Before arriving, I received a phone call letting me know the technician was on the way. I also received a text message with a photo of the technician and a bit of background information. This way, I knew who to expect and he wasn't quite a stranger when he arrived. Both the technician and his partner introduced themselves and shook my hand upon arrival, and asked me to explain the situation and show them the rooms. After a quick survey and conversation, they explained the steps they would take to clean the carpets. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. We had our living room flood from the heavy rain we got. We got 3-4 inches within 30 minutes. It…read morecame through the back door and started spreading throughout half of our living room. We could not handle it with our tiny shop vacs, and I knew enough about flooding because I was an assistant property manager prior, so I knew to call right away before structural damage occurred. I called Carpet Tech, but some automated system told me to wait for the next available person. I was NOT doing that, so I hung up and saw Ace in the phone book (which is really good for a town like Lubbock, because a lot of good vendors are not online yet). So I called and Hector answered, and was very nice. It was about 10 pm and he was not grouchy or rude, and did not act like we were an inconvenience. He was here in about 20 minutes and he assessed the damage and set up the fans and dehumidifier. He explained how it would work, and what the process would be. He left the equipment here for about 4 days, and then when he came back out he found that we had pulled up the carpet pad so we could salvage that and dry it out. He said it was ok, glued it back down, and stretched the carpet out because we had pulled it back so the pad could dry. He stretched out the carpet as much as he could, but the former residents put the tag strip on vinyl flooring instead of the concrete itself, so it cannot have too much tension because then it would rip out of the vinyl. It still looks good for what he can do with it, but I am annoyed at people that cut corners. I would recommend Hector, and he is very friendly. This is our first experience as homeowners to have a flood, so we are glad it wasn't made worse by calling someone else!

The next day I sent him pictures of the spots present when the carpet dried and he did not reply. They will not hold up to their "satisfaction guarantee. When he finally did reply it was with demands to pay when he didn't do all he was supposed to and I wasn't satisfied with the work he did.He won't answer phone calls. I would never recommend this company. So I gave them a try. Professional young man came out promptly. As he was cleaning two rocking chairs in my bedroom as well as the carpets , he asked if he could move them to my bathroom to be closer to the water. I agreed. Next thing I know he has all chairs in dining room and office in my hallway. My game chairs and another chair in living room were moved to den on hardwood floor. He was quite speedy in cleaning two bedrooms, dining room, office and living room. I was able to look at all of the rooms except for the bedrooms without walking on the carpet. They looked great. I wrtoe check and the young man quickly left without moving furniture back After letting carpets dry for an hour I walked into master bedroom to find spots all over the floor that had not been cleaned and the chairs were still in the bathroom. The other bedroom still had spot in it. I immediately called to have him come back. He was NOT professional or polite this time. He brought an iron and a wash cloth in with a rag to clean my spots. Couldn't get them up. I asked him to put furniture back as my husband is in his late 70 s and was on a heating pad because of his bad back. He moved the two rocking chairs and said he had to put the iron up as it was hot. He walked out the front door leaving it wide open, got in his truck without a word and drove off leaving me with 15 chairs to move back. When I called the owner he apologized but that was it! Do I recommend them? No way! I now have to call my company that I have always used and get them to come clean. Just wasted time and money plus broke my back moving furniture
