We needed our carpets cleaned for a move out: living space and three bedrooms. The entire process only took an hour, and the results were great. One bedroom had severe spot issues with cat vomit and smell, and they cleaned it efficiently and got most of the smell out of all the carpets. The total price was $338, extremely reasonable for four rooms with cleaning, vacuuming, and deodorizing. They even provided a complementary pet deodorizer for our new residence! Before arriving, I received a phone call letting me know the technician was on the way. I also received a text message with a photo of the technician and a bit of background information. This way, I knew who to expect and he wasn't quite a stranger when he arrived. Both the technician and his partner introduced themselves and shook my hand upon arrival, and asked me to explain the situation and show them the rooms. After a quick survey and conversation, they explained the steps they would take to clean the carpets. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. Carpet Tech sent someone out to look at the shower, and they agreed that it was a poor job. They offered to re-do it for us, but we said that we didn't want to go to all that trouble again for something that probably wouldn't last but a couple of days. Hard water in Lubbock is always going to be a problem unless you own a built-in water softener. Instead, Carpet Tech gave us a full refund, and they also gave us an estimate on carpet cleaning, which we had been planning to have done early next year. They may be okay cleaning carpets but our experience with the construction side was a living nightmare. On February 10, 2022, Our house was involved in a vehicle impact. I'm still dealing with the trauma of the accident and trying to rebuild our home. On top of that, I'm a disabled veteran with mental health problems and I have a bad back. I'm upset because I feel like we were put on the back burner and neglected by this company. Our project was inundated with delays. I felt like the framing subcontractors they hired were low quality and that they charged a high price for low quality work. The new construction guys I hired had to resize the window and door openings. In my opinion, the project manager's communication skills were lacking and Customer courtesy was sub-par at best. I felt like I was the one having to always contact the project manager for status updates on the rebuild. Our insurance, USAA, requires that we notify them of any modifications in materials or the rebuild itself. The project manager said we didn't have to do that. I don't know what to think about that. I emailed the COO and the Vice President and they never got back in touch with me. They just sent me the bill. I tried to do it the right way and reach out to them. That's the reason for this review. In my experience, it seems to me they care more about their bottom line than they do about customers. They charged over $7,000 for the framing job in which they ordered over 50% of the required material. The electrical work was also over $7,000. We paid Carpet Tech for the electrical work and they only paid the electrician $5,380, of 7397.50 we paid them. I called about this discrepancy and they said they would mail me a check for the difference. Total, we paid them around $20,000 for cleanup and repairs. My Carpet Tech today was Jerid Pridmore and one other gentleman. They came right on time, I really appreciated the Text Alert prior to their arrival with information about my carpet tech, his certifications & some background info. It also had a picture which is helpful so I know who to look out for when someone comes to the door. Another thing I really appreciate was the protective guards they set out so that none of my furniture or walls would get ruined or chipped when they walk by with their machine. They were very well prepared. I had really bad stains prior to them coming out and was really nervous thinking they wouldn't be able to get them out because my stains were really bad. However they were able to get every stain out and my carpet's look brand new again, & they smell amazing! We are extremely happy and will continue to use them in the future. read more

From a totally flooded house when the water heater failed while we were on a RV trip for over 3 months to a flooded basement when a water line in the ally failed. I recently purchased an 86 year old home and was in need of wood floor restoration. Some of the boards had cracked and were on the verge of falling through. Carpet Tech came out quickly and repaired/replaced all of the weak spots in my floor. Right after they left, another board broke and they came back to fix it free of charge. Unfortunately I really wanted to give CT/Pool Check a 5 star rating as they've been great in the past. Well I got their Pool Check division to install an Autocover for our pool. I understand it was their first one to do. Honestly had they said we've don't install those I would have been fine with that. But according to the manufacturer it should have only taken 2-3 days MAX to install it. It took CT 4 MONTHS. That is unacceptable in my opinion. On top of that, their crew left their water bottles and empty cardboard boxes and pieces of rope they cut in our yard. I had to pick that all up. They did do a good job on the installation itself however. But really since it was their first time installing one of these, they should have dedicated three days to the installation. So I'm really just upset about the installation time since it's a project that cost me $13,000. read more

The team that came out was fantastic, as they have been all the times I have used them, and I told them about why I was having my carpets cleaned. Later that week I had flowers delivered to my door congratulating me on my new addition from Carpet tech! You just don't see customer service like that often and a desire to go above and beyond. We requested tile cleaning quote. Person came looked and told us $125 and details of the process and time it should take. Time was to be 4 hours and on floor scrubbing in hard to clean places. They came, ran abrush , were finished in less than an hour. Didn't clean behind doors. Floors looked no better when they left! Methinks not is correct. Never again. read more

It makes me sad to even put a 2 star rating because I think they are great at cleaning carpets. However, their construction side doesn't match up. I understand it is difficult to find good builders/remodelers in this town, well, unless you're building a home over $750, 000 anyway. It's even harder to find good sub contractors, I get it. But, because of the name, I thought this construction company would be different. I was completely wrong. The job itself has taken too much time, has had terrible customer service and has proven to be a total disappointment. My advice, stick to cleaning carpets or make some major changes. We were really hoping we had found a company who could "do it all" for us, but I guess not. I will always use you guys for my carpets but will never use the construction side again. read more

I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I had all my flooring cleaned which includes hard wood and tile as well as white carpet. When they were finished, it all looked brand new. I called Carpet Tech in Amarillo November 23rd and explained to them that I have Sherpa fur rug that is used for a dog bed. A Sherpa fur rug is a VERY thick, white fur. I explained to the person on the phone what type of rug I had and that my dog had gotten sick on it. Blake in Amarillo was very nice, explained that they did not have an office I could drop it off at but he would call me when he got close to my place of employment and he would pick it up there. Which he did. He looked at the fur and the spot where my dog had gotten sick and assured me they could get the vomit out of the fur. Two weeks went by and I hadn't heard from them so I called and asked about the fur. The lady that answered the phone told me they had "misplaced" the rug and someone would call me back shortly as soon as they located it. I did not get a call back and figured my fur had gone the way of the dodo. Then, December 24th I got a bill, yes a bill for a rug that was "misplaced"! $60.66 for a service that had yet to be rendered! I immediately called and told Paten who answered the phone that I was appalled with the bill, how dare they charge me for a fur they lost, I was not going to pay for their service until I received my fur. She told me she would check into it and have someone call me back, which they did, December 26th when they called to tell me the fur was clean and they would deliver it to my place of employment and pick up payment. When they dropped it off, I asked if they had gotten all the vomit out of the fur. I was told not only was the vomit out, it smelled 100% better. The rug was delivered wrapped in brown paper so I unfortunately took them at their word, paid them and went back to work. That was two weeks ago! Last Tuesday, the 8th of January I got another bill, the $60.66 which I had already paid, plus a finance charge and still NO RUG! I called again and got Blake in Lubbock. He listened to everything that had transpired then told me he would have to talk to the Amarillo people because "there are two sides to every story". Um No, the customer is always right! Anyway, I said I understood and would expect a call back. Which of course I never got. Thursday, January 10th, I called and asked for Blake in Lubbock. He told me he had tried to call but couldn't get ahold of me. Funny, the number on file with them is my cell and it hasn't changed in 15 years! He didn't have any news but would get back to me. Today I called again and this time, Blake in Lubbock admitted that the Amarillo crew said they hadn't yet gotten the vomit out, but that he was confident they "should" be able to get it out by the end of the week. Almost two full months and they still haven't been able to get one stain out of a rug. I finally asked for my rug and check to be returned to me. To which I got a response from Blake in Lubbock of "Fine, we will have it to you today." Amazingly, when they called to return my rug they had my number and were able to get ahold of me. Funny how when you dial the number you get the cell phone on the other end! I have contacted the BBB and told EVERYONE I work with about my experience with your company. Oh, and yes the vomit is still in the rug, which looks like it hasn't been touched at all. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE read more

No no no. I will never use this company again. They have doubled their cleaning prices over the last year and trick my wife into paying for unnecessary accessories every time. Very disappointed to see what this company has become. And they're bug tech side is horrible. Very uneducated. Not worth the price.
