On 12-17-18 at approximately 3:40 PM I went to this store/gas station to make a purchase. Both…read moreclerks were busy, so I got in the line that I thought would move fastest. It did. When it came my turn to be served the young male clerk told me to go to the other line. He had a smirk on his face and stood there doing nothing while I went to the other line, expecting him to move on to another task. No, he just stood there doing nothing. As luck would have it the other clerk was having difficulty communicating with a Spanish only speaking customer. After watching her struggling to communicate with him I stepped in and used my fractured Spanish. The problem was solved. All this time, several minutes, while watching the other clerk struggle trying to communicate with the customer the young male attendant started to talk with the Hispanic man in fluent Spanish. I was stunned! Why did he not help a couple of minutes before? He had been standing no more than about 8' away with a smirk on his face watching the other clerk doing her best, struggling admirably with the language problem. He did nothing. After I had helped and saw that he was fluent in Spanish I told him that he was out of line for not helping the other attendant - words like rude, bad mannered, etc. came easily to me including my unsolicited opinion of him for not helping the other attendant. He retaliated in a sarcastic manner. Words escalated, but quietly and not excessively. I was not looking for an argument. I just wanted to be gone, but he would not let it go. He then told the other clerk to watch his register while he took me outside "to have a talk". He started to move around the counter toward me in a threatening manner. I am 74 years old, disabled, recovering from surgery, and not looking to fight anyone, but I do carry a weapon for self-protection. Nonetheless, I told him quite calmly that if he touched me I would call the police and have him arrested for assault. He backed off momentarily, said a few words, and I suggested that he was racist. He then called the police to lodge a complaint about an unruly customer...lol... I completed my transaction and quietly left - never to return again. Hell can freeze over, and I will still go out of my way to avoid this store/gas station.

I saw this gas station in passing and thought, "That place looks nice and new." On the way home, we…read moredecided to stop and see if they had slushies... and wow! They had an impressive selection. Many gas stations might offer 2-3 flavors but this Swift had NINE slush flavors and 4 Icee flavors. (I personally have always liked Slush over Icee so this is favorable to me... except I don't like to have much sugar so I didn't partake in the brain freeze inducing fun.) The interior appeared new and clean. There was an area for hot food in addition to the typical gas station fare of cold cooler beverages and carby snacks. I even believe I saw a "beer cave." The price was alright... I wouldn't stop regularly but an occasional treat won't break the bank. The 16oz size was like $2 and the 24oz was like $2.89 (I think.) Total came to $7.30. The only real negative was the cashier. Upon leaving, it's mind boggling to me how a 7 year-old can notice and say, "Boy, she wasn't very friendly, was she?" Hahaha. Omg! Yes!!! She was NOT friendly indeed. I'm glad someone else picked up on that. Maybe her face would have broken if she tried to smile. Who knows. Didn't feel like it caused a huge drop in rating nonetheless. All in all, we were pleasantly surprised with the variety of sweet frozen drinks. We'll be back!
